Called and left message for an estimate. No one ever returned call. I also sent a text to the number, but no response.

After searching Yelp we found this glass shop. We had a very successful experience. We called about…read morea special replacement glass shelf for our grandfather clock. Liz (I hope I remembered her name correctly), was very helpful. She took the measurements over the phone and gave us a reasonable quote. The piece was ready the following day and fit perfectly. The shop is a little difficult to find, but was worth the search. We will be using them again in the near future for a dining room table glass top.

We purchased all new Milgard windows from SCV Glassworks in 2009. They have a lifetime warranty,…read moreand two of the windows are crystallizing on the inside, creating a foggy appearance. I called SCV Glassworks and first spoke to Eric and then to Andrew. The first response from Andrew was that they would replace the windows only if we purchased them "within the last year or so." I reminded him of the "Lifetime Warranty," and then Andrew said we had to file our request with Milgard. I pointed out that we purchased the windows from SCV Glassworks, and they hold themselves out as a "Milgard Certified Dealer." Andrew then changed his story and said he'd file a warranty request to Milgard to have the windows replaced. Andrew requested that I photograph the window frame and send it to him since it contained all the warranty information he needed. I forwarded the photographic information, and he confirmed receiving all the information he needed. He said he would put in a warranty request for me. After three weeks, I heard nothing, so I sent a text to Andrew asking for an update on my warranty request. He responded that he'll check with the manufacturer, Milgard, to determine the status of my warranty repair. He'd let me know as soon as he hears from Milgard. Two weeks went by, and not a word from SCV Glassworks, so today I decided to call Milgard myself. I reached Milgard's warranty department, and they advised that they had no warranty request from SCV Glassworks. Alexander, in Milgard's Customer Service Department, advised that it was best for me to just file my own warrant request through his department. Alexander asked that I forward the photographic information of the two windows to be replaced. I sent the information to Alexander, and in less than an hour, he confirmed receipt of my information, confirmed the warranty, and scheduled the window replacement. The Bottom Line: Milgard windows are great, and their service department is the best I've ever experienced. Kudos to Andrew in Milgard's Customer Service Department in Simi Valley. SCV Glassworks: First, a denial of a warranty, then a claim that they filed a warranty request when they had not, and no follow-up whatsoever. Their "service" was the worst.

(This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.

Cory led the installation and did an amazing job including rebuilding a bay window structure in the kitchen where the old wooden windows and wood framing had years of water damage that needed to be removed and rebuilt. Other companies that bid on this job did not seem concerned about the water damage in the bay window structure and wouldn't commit to exactly how far they could go to restore the integrity of this structure. Armond, came to meet with me and help me choose the right windows (from Milgard). He listened to my concerns about the kitchen window structured and assured me that Cory had the experience and skills needed to do the job right. Katie and Rio in the office were a pleasure to work with as well and answered all questions promptly with regard to order status, logistics, and billing, and the overall experience was beyond my expectations. Our neighbors on the next street were impressed with the job and hired Mighty Builders to replace their windows as well. I also have 2 close friends who need windows and will be reaching out to Mighty when they're ready. The finished job looks fantastic and I'm extremely happy with our new windows.
