It's like a closet size where the cats have different levels to up on. You can even let the staff play with them in an open space, or if your at is like mine and doesn't care too much for strangers they can just chill on one of the meany levels. Also for boarding a cat is a really great price. And if anything happens they call you and your furry family member's vet.

I have had Bane for about a year and a half (his about 3 1/2 years old.) He has been almost uncontrollable since day one. Although there was some initial improvement, he has had no sense of boundaries and could get aggressive when touched. Sissy and I spoke at length by phone prior to bringing Bane there. She seemed very knowledgeable about training, in general, as well as being keenly aware of the specific needs and disposition of English Bulldogs. Bane boarded and worked with Sissy for training at Off Broadway Pet Boarding and Training for a full week. While the space was fairly small, I was impressed with the cleanliness and order. Sissy and I spoke almost daily about Bane's progress. It because apparent by day 3 that I needed the training as much as he did. Upon picking him up, he seemed happy and well adjusted. He is now able to follow simple commands, which we continue to work on at home. Since I opted to use a pinch collar with him, it is important I continue to execute the training and coaching she provided for us. His overall behavioral changes have been nothing less than miraculous. He is much more calm, isn't aggressive towards other people or dogs and seems much happier, as are well! I would highly recommend Sissy for any training and/or boarding needs you may have.

My family and I were first introduced to Lorrie about 16 years ago when we desperately needed our…read moreRotty-Australian Sheppard mix trained. Our young Ruby was turning into a monster of sorts, treating us like cattle during walks and even getting to the point of pure destruction. Lorrie worked with Ruby and honestly saved her life. If not for Lorrie's unbelievable training we would not have been able to keep Ruby in our lives. From that point on, Ruby was a perfect angel on her walks, respected each of us as her master, and was the most loving, caring and wonderful dog we could have ever hoped for. Five years ago my wife and I decided it was time to add another member to the family. We were looking for a small-mid sized dog, and fell in love with a Shiba Inu puppy whom we named Nala. We knew right away we would be signing Nala up for Lorrie's puppy classes, but little did we know, Shiba's had a nasty reputation and it was going to take a lot more work to mold her into the dog we wanted. Lorrie worked with her diligently and as Nala's Shiba attitude peaked, she worked harder than ever training her during the day, and keeping us accountable at home during the evening. After going through Lorrie's full program Nala was TRAINED! All of those typical Shiba characteristics were gone! She stopped wiggling out of her collar and running for the hills. She stopped air biting and showing her teeth. She was an angel just like our dear Ruby. To this day, friends, family and even strangers on the street compliment us on Nala's behavior. If you are thinking about working with a trainer, whether your pup has little issues or BIG issues, Lorrie, owner of Dog's Best Friend Training Academy (located in Denver, NC) is the woman to hire!!

UPDATE: Since this review has been posted, Deandre has contacted my family multiple times to try to…read morehave this review take down. I guess as a small business owner, you never want to hear that your customer relations and people skills are absolutely terrible. Stay away. Stay far away. If you want any kind of peace of mind while you're away, you will not find it here. Last month, our usual dog-sitter was booked for our vacation so we had to look elsewhere. We found Deandre on Rover, but booked her off of the app so we could make payments since she is quite expensive. I dropped off our three dogs there, and genuinely thought it was a nice area (big yard with space for the dogs), even though the owner seemed pretty scattered. There were other at least three other dogs in her care, including a puppy. She hadn't sent us a contract to sign yet, so upon arrival, I was handed a notebook with my dog's names scribbled in marker that she wanted me to sign. For a long trip, this was a fairly late notice decision on our part, so I didn't think much of it. We leave for our trip and hear very little from Deandre (no pictures or updates), and the next day, she calls my fiancée frantically and says that our (friendly service) dog had bitten another dog badly enough to be taken to the vet, and that our other dog had started a fight. Here's the thing: we were never explicitly aware that our dogs would be playing freely outside in the heat for hours (yep--she said she did that) with dogs they had never met. I saw several dogs there along with several cages, so I had assumed they would be kept separate for extended periods. Our dogs, even the well-behaved one, are total jerks, but they've never been aggressive, though we definitely entertained the possibility that they caused this trouble given the circumstance. With the information we have, we think our dogs have legitimately done something bad, so my fiancée starts asking for some more details, like if we needed to compensate the other dog owner, and the general state of our dogs. Deandre was woefully unable to communicate any context to the situation, and began talking in circles. The phone call ends, and my fiancée texts her some general and very reasonable questions about our dogs (we wanted pictures of them to make sure they were okay) and the situation in general. It's getting pretty late in the day at this point, and Deandre calls back and tries (briefly and poorly) to answer some of the questions. She then says that she doesn't want to keep going back and forth with us, and that we've texted her with too many questions. This is when she goes off the rails. She proceeds to be extremely rude to my partner, and goes on to tout her own capabilities as a caretaker, among many other uncalled for things. We were excessively kind with her and never attacked her ability; we literally just wanted her to update us on the outcome of a situation that our dogs had seemingly caused. This woman has zero communication skills. Our friends were with us while we were on the phone, and all of us were shocked at her behavior. The next day, we inform her that my dad would be coming to sign them out, and that our usual dog-sitter (who had an opening) would be coming to pick them up. We barely heard a word from her. After they were picked up, she didn't offer a refund of any kind for the remainder of their stay (almost a week). She only sent us our money back after we threatened to get an attorney involved. Even then, she shorted us $10 and kept one of the water bowls. If you want to hear the phone call where she loses her mind, let us know.
