Last summer, I was told I needed to replace my HVAC system before this summer because it uses R-22. Naturally, that was stressful and felt like a huge unexpected expense. When Will came out, he carefully inspected the system and then walked me through the facts. He explained that as long as the unit is working properly, there's no need to replace it just because it uses R-22. He also clarified that refrigerant doesn't need to be added unless there's a leak (contrary to what I had previously been told about it needing regular refills). At no point did he try to upsell me or pressure me into replacing something that still works. Instead, he focused on what was actually necessary and in my best interest. That level of integrity is rare and incredibly appreciated. It's clear he genuinely cares about his customers and values doing the right thing over making a quick sale. Nothing you can really do about it. But Pierce is reasonable. Vernon Pierce came out to our house and looked at my AC unit. I told him what I had already been quoted. He said, "That seems high to me. The problem with this industry is that people are dishonest. They will deliberately sell you things you don't need. But I'll have a look." After looking, he agreed that the original quote I received from another company was too expensive. And he charged me $750 less than the other guy to do the same thing. New AC unit is running great.
