What a great find! I pulled in because I needed something from the store, had a question about my…read morehouse batteries, and thought I might ask if they had a campground. I was greeted with kindness and treated like family. Jimmy and David answered my questions and helped me find what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised to find Gander is part of their store. Not only did they let me stay in their lot, they hooked me up to power and water and didn't charge me anything. They Introduced me to their manager, John, who was equally inviting. The showroom and the store were very nice. I, of course, found some things at Gander I could not pass up and Hunter took good care of me at the store. The next day I asked about staying another night and David said that would be perfectly fine. He even recommended a bike trail close by. When a problem arose numerous people came together to help. These folks have earned my business in the future.

I purchased a Furrion Chill Cube air conditioner from Camping World in Dothan less than 30 days…read moreago. I installed it and used it one time without issue. On the second use, the unit stopped cooling completely. I went back to Camping World expecting them to stand behind a product they had sold me less than a month earlier. Instead, I was told I would have to deal directly with the manufacturer. I understand that manufacturer warranties ultimately go through the manufacturer, but when a product fails almost immediately, I expect the retailer to make some effort to support the customer and the product they sold. What made the experience worse was how it was handled. The service counter staff were short and dismissive, and speaking with the manager did not improve the situation. There was very little effort to help resolve the problem or even acknowledge the frustration of having a brand new unit fail right away. To be fair, the manufacture (Furrion/Lippert) has been responsive so far, and I appreciate their assistance. My complaint is specifically about Camping World of Dothan and the lack of after-sale customer service. A brand new air conditioner shouldn't fail after essentially one use, and a customer shouldn't feel abandoned less than 30 days after spending their money. Based on this experience, I would be very hesitant to purchase another major RV component or anything else from this location. Selling the product is one thing. How you handle a problem afterward says much more.

She knows so much about the RV industry and represents it with honest professionalism. If she doesn't know an answer to your question, she has resources to get the answers. This dealership is fortunate to have her.

My wife and I purchased a used 2017 RV with 12,000 miles on August 1, 2025. Before buying, we were…read moretold the RV had gone through an "extensive inspection," and we were charged for that inspection as part of the sale. The unit was sold as‑is, but we were assured it was safe and road‑ready. After only two short trips, we discovered a major safety hazard involving the slide‑out. The bottom of the slide showed rust, grooves, and soft spots. Inside, we found that someone had placed an end table over the damaged area and bolted it to the floor with L‑brackets, preventing anyone from seeing the soft spot. The couch had also been altered -- the legs were removed and the couch was mounted to a wall bracket -- again hiding the rotted floor underneath. When we removed the brackets, my wife nearly fell through the floor. This was not minor wear and tear -- this was a structural failure that posed a real risk of injury. This type of rot does not happen overnight. It should have been caught during any legitimate inspection, especially one we paid for. At minimum, it should not have been concealed behind furniture modifications. When I brought this to the dealership, the first response was simply "as‑is, no warranty," with no concern for the fact that someone could have been seriously hurt. The service contract I purchased also did not cover it. One service employee did send photos to management, but despite multiple calls and three in‑person visits, the GM never returned a single call. The lack of accountability and the complete disregard for a clear safety issue is unacceptable. I'm a local customer, and I expected honesty and basic concern for customer safety. Instead, once the sale was made, the dealership showed no interest in addressing a dangerous condition that should have been identified long before this RV was put on the lot. Buyers deserve transparency and a dealership that takes safety seriously. Based on my experience, that is not what I received.
