Long post ahead but worth the read: I discovered a leak in…read moremy trailer and didnt know exactly where it was coming from. I was pretty sure it was the refrigerator vent but I didn't know anything was wrong until it traveled to the floor and my floor was soggy when you stepped in front of the refrigerator. I was quoted locally that the repairs would cost around 15k to fix-parts and labor. My insurance wouldn't cover it, Lakota said they could do it if insurance wouldn't cover it, but all expenses would be out of pocket. I bought the trailer brand new in 2020 and had only used it 7 times-and two were this fall. I am a first time LQ owner and I was devastated at the lack of support I felt I was getting from everyone. I reached back out to Michael Shaffer at Dixie Horse and Mule in Newton, Alabama where I bought it. I explained as best I could what was going on and he told me if I could get it to him that he would make it right and fix it for me. My father and I drove 15 hours each way and let me tell you it was THE BEST decision ever! Michael and his guys not only found the issue(s) but had to gut the entire back end of my trailer and replace the floor, replace the boards on the side and in the refrigerator vent and use silicone to angle the inside so if water got in, it wouldn't go back to the plywood but instead roll back out the vent. There was a nut that came loose under the shower so every time it was turned on it was draining right on my floor, including winterizing, and the seal on the refrigerator vent on the roof was not done properly and so it was also leaking down the wall behind the refrigerator. So every time it rained when I used it or in summer and fall when it was out of the storage facility I keep in, water was leaking in the trailer. Scott, Will, and Jason worked for 3 days to get my trailer back to brand new AND then took the time to go over pretty much everything, inside and out for any other issues I didn't see or know about yet. They removed and resealed around vents that were wearing, around windows, fixed a spot coming loose on the awning, greased the slide out, replaced the propane detector as it had just expired, and even greased the hinges on the back stall doors so no more loud squeaking. When I came to check on the progress they stopped what they were doing and went over what happened and what was needed to fix it all. I was able to ask questions and get honest and genuine support without judging or anything. I learned SO much and even took notes on my phone. They winterized it, and even checked the air in my tires before sending me on my way home to Missouri. I will never buy another trailer from anywhere else and I highly recommend talking to Michael if you need repairs on your Lakota. He has worked with them for over 25 years and knows them inside and out, when things changed or got modified and on what year and model. I was HIGHLY IMPRESSED. You might say well 15 hours is a lot...well all I can say is it was MORE than worth it from the customer service I received, the care, hospitality, and especially in my final cost. I could probably turn it into my insurabxe company, but based on my final cost, it would be more expensive. I am now one happy horse trailer owner and a forever customer because of Michael and the people at Dixie. Even if you didn't buy from them, their service department is exceptional if you need anything.

I think not. Whatever you do don't buy anything used from these people, they lie and don't service their used equipment before you purchase it. Not even 100 hours on this machine and we are over 5 thousand dollars in repairs. New Holland and Kingline are total crap.

Also, I heard from some of the local Dothan large acre farmers that the new owner bought this dealership from Mr. Huff who ran a Super Duper place at this location BUT NOT ANY MORE. We were seriously waiting for a camera to pop out and be on a pranked show as the whole adventure was just beginning. CANDID CAMERA BEING FILMED AT THE NEW HOLLAND DEALERSHIP IN DOTHAN, ALABAMA. What a HORRIBLE experience on a used T4.110 New Holland Tractor - to say they misrepresented the tractor is putting it very nice. Car salesman Jesse is full of it and has to ask the "Owner" if anything can be done via a phone call which is fine but the owner is MIA from this dealership and will not answer his phone for a while....all as you sit there staring at the walls. Jesse says the owner is with his kids which I can understand but I just drove 3 hours with a twenty two foot trailer and left my kids at home to go buy a tractor and now I have to drive 3 more hours with a twenty two foot trailer after listening to all Jesse's BS and a non responsive owner. Also, I had a conversation with Jesse on July 4th and another on the drive down to confirm our deal on the New Holland and a NEW 8 foot BUSH HOG which was also used when we arrived. Jesse agreed it had been used after we asked about it????? Also the BUSH HOG had been sitting there for at least six months according to car salesman Jesse. I asked Jesse to have the owner call me so I could describe this experience but we haven't heard from anyone from this New Holland Dealership in Dothan, Alabama. 1- Tractor had 766 hours in the ad it had 809 when we got there to see it 24 hours later. This was over the 4th of July so theres no way this was just a coincidence. Jesse verified this and said he was looking at the tractor while we were on the phone and conformed the hours and stock number. So...we find out this tractor was rented out sometime recently and Car salesman Jesse had no idea about it until it was brought up. Complete BS 2- Asked if this tractor had been serviced.... Car salesman Jesse says we service all tractors when they arrive. We lift the hood to see a filthy air filter and a oil filter thats been on this tractor since new as Jesse wipes the grunge from the filter. Oil stick is Nasty Black. More Complete BS 3- Asked if the Tractor had DEF and Jesse say's "NOT AT ALL" while on the phone once again he's full of it now as we look at the big Blue Def Cap next to the fuel filler cap upon our first look at the tractor. Now the BS is pilled high deep. 4- Tires on the ad completely misrepresent the actual tread left on the actual tractor. Asked Jesse if he could just swap these tires with another used one sitting next to it and once again he had to call the MIA owner. Other Car salesmen started to come out and didn't understand why the tractor wasn't serviced as well as the hours being off and the DEF amazingly got added by the DEF fairies ....front tires will need to be replaced. "We will let our service manager know about this" and I'm thinking why isn't he here listening to all this BS. We were walking in a showroom full of BS by now and left. Glad to see there's a JD dealer close by I don't think these guys will last long especially from the comments I got from local farmers of large farms. What a disappointment to this large farming community. Good luck out there but buyer beware of this dealership. A.D.
