Zach and his team did our kitchen, our roof, our daughter's basement, & my friend's deck. It's all high quality work at a great price!

In May 2021, my husband and I hired Tim to complete a large 2-story home addition to our family…read morefarm house that his grandparents moved in to in the early 1960's. Tim was well spoken and able to sell the dream I was envisioning for the house we would be living in for the next 50 years. We provided the deposit that was requested along with two change order payments and a second contract payment. In total, we paid $189,000 to Tim over the course of the year we worked with him. Tim hired an inadequate concrete subcontractor who did not pay the concrete bill, resulting in a lien being filed on our house. As it turns out, this subcontractor is currently being indicted by the Missouri Attorney General's office for multiple counts of defrauding the elderly. Eventually, Tim reluctantly paid the concrete supplier which then released the lien on our property. At this point, I began deep diving in to Tim's background and company history. I discovered that a family in the Chicago area had almost the exact same experience we were dealing with. I also learned that Tim's "company" Innovative Creations Construction and Remodeling was not a registered business with either the State of Kansas or Missouri. I also began making phone calls and learned that the concrete company who completed our foundation work correctly struggled to get payment from him. I also called the carpenter who was to be working on our custom vanity but he had not heard from Tim in many months and never received the down payment for our vanity build. I then understood that COVID was not to blame for why the steel beam and lumber had not been delivered to our residence, but it was Tim who never placed the orders to begin with. I requested an itemized list of all spending from Tim and after a period of time, he produced what I requested. Based on what he sent me, he had spent $103,508.00 meaning there should have been $85,492.00 left for him to purchase materials with. When I requested proof of the money, he could not provide it. I sent Tim a secondary document outlining each receipt he sent and highlighted the amounts that went directly in to the building of the concrete foundation we were left with. Tim reviewed my document and agreed that $65,662.64 was a fair amount we should have paid for the foundation we were provided. He also agreed that we were due a refund of $123,337.36 but he would "need time" to come up with the money. Over a year later, we have not seen 1 penny of the amount he promised to pay. I have let him know numerous times when I would be in the KC area and that I could pick up a check, no matter how small, as a sign of good faith towards the repayment we were owed. Per usual, it is radio silence every time and he has gone in to the wind. I urge any person that looks in to ICCR, do NOT contact him and by no means should you ever hire him.
