This review is a long time coming. Since the first job we had David DeLima do, we had him do…read moreanother job in 2022 to do the rest of the house. The second job was a nightmare. 2+ years later we have failing floors both downstairs and upstairs. Vinyl planks that were cut short were sliding out from under the baseboards. He installed quarter round (wood) molding around our bathtub instead of cutting the flooring flush - wood and water don't mix well. The entire bottom floor that was installed on concrete is missing a vapor barrier. David came back to take a look at the floor a couple of times and blamed the product not the install. Despite his assurances that he would make it right and "take care of us" he has not been responsive to our calls and texts. He says he has since gone out of business, which I'm not sure if that is true because his contractor's license is still active. At this point my wife and I are gathering our documentation and reporting him to the licensing board and will try to go after his Performance Bond that he was covered under during the installation. Let him deal with the state and not have to deal with him anymore ourselves.

We took home a few samples and decided on what we wanted. We then scheduled a time for Kipp to come by and do a formal measurement and quote. No pressure - no gimmicks. Kipp knows his stuff about flooring. We then arranged to have the carpet installed. They worked around our schedule to set up the install. We moved many of the little things but the crew that did the installation handled the big furniture items and were very careful. The installation crew that Spencer Flooring uses were professional, knew their craft and were very polite. They did a nice job of cleaning up also. We experienced some needed changes during the refinishing of our entire house. Certain areas that are too stained to match everything (requiring replacing those boards or choosing a darker stain if you prefer), we believed we had hardwood flooring under the kitchen laminate and it turns out we did not. Each step of the way, Ruben would calmly lay out our options, and quickly show us the cost of each option. It was a very large project. They replaced all of our base boards and door trims throughout the house as well as refinishing floors throughout the entire house. We stayed in a hotel during the work and Ruben gave consistent updates so that we had a good guess of which day we move back into the house and plan accordingly for that. I would describe Ruben's approach as "high-touch". Answers questions via text, always happy to stop by just to drop off samples of colors or materials. I really appreciated this. This is a licensed and insured local business with a stellar reputation which is why we went with them. I'm so happy we did. I have to say I was a little apprehensive about getting my floors done. But it was even worse when…read moreafter deciding to do my floors with crystals. Floorings, i've found water damaged on my subfloor. Why did I have water damage? May you ask well when they built the house, they built it with particle board on the floors. If you can only imagine that Richard gave me the option. He said you can cover it up. It is waterproof vinyl, but I don't recommend it. We went with his recommendation. I had the sub floors replaced with 3 inch. A treated wood, the floors were installed. It took a little bit longer on our timeline, but we are so happy with the work that was done.

PLEASE RECONSIDER this place…read more I was recommended this place and I wish I wouldn't have trusted the recomendation. RICHARD and his handy men came to work on our floors in January. Everything seemed fine. There were some minor details that were not done well and had to be redone. We contacted Richard and let him know. Every time he said he would come by to fix them he wouldn't, he would always come up with some excuse from needing to help someone move immediately to his car not working or working on another contract. We trusted him so we had already paid him which was my biggest mistake. He also says that it's full service" which meant we didn't have to take anything down or remove anything from the rooms prior to him putting on the floor floors. However they are clearly not experts on putting things back together. They dismantled my kids trundle bed and put it back incorrectly, making it unsafe for them to sleep on. We didn't notice how loose the bed was and how many screws were put in to make it look like they were putting in the proper place because we had to wait a couple days to be able to sleep in our house again because we also got the interior of our house painted through him. One of his handymen put a boarder around the living room to separate the tile floor and the wood they put in. However it started to lift and a staple they used to hold it down was sticking up. Richard came to see it and said he would fix it along with the other things that's had to be done. He then text us to let us know it will be 900 to fix the boarder because in order for the boarder to not lift he would have to remove some of the tile. We said no and He never came and eventually my son got hurt because the corner of the boarder that was lifted stabbed the bottom of his big toe. We had to get someone else to come fix it. They did an amazing job and didn't have to remove any tile to fix the boarder properly. Also a slab of wood came off from the floor on my kids closet. If you do end up going with this company please with hold payment until you are completely satisfied with the job and you know nothing is lifting or breaking/broken.

I was looking to replace all the carpet flooring in my newly built home with LVP and found Mario…read morehere on Yelp right away. I decided to give him a try--and I'm glad I did. Mario's knowledge and understanding of flooring is top-notch. My home already had 6mm LVP on most of the first floor, but when we removed the carpet in one of the first-floor bedrooms, I did a calcium chloride test and found the concrete moisture level was much higher than I was comfortable with. After doing some research and discussing options with Mario, we decided to apply Bostik coat to seal the moisture. That made a huge difference. We also added a proper moisture barrier on top, which gave me peace of mind. Given the moisture level in the concrete, I ended up removing the original 6mm flooring too. That turned out to be the right call--when we pulled it up, we discovered the old moisture barrier sheets weren't taped properly, just laid side by side. So we redid the whole floor with Bostik + taped moisture barrier + 8mm LVP. Mario managed to reuse most of the baseboards--only one room needed new ones. While the project ended up a bit more expensive than originally planned, the results look great and I feel confident that the floor will hold up long-term. Mario is super friendly, honest, and goes out of his way to help. Highly recommend him if you're considering flooring work!

The best part of the experience was the install and the install team. Manny and his crew absolutely crushed it. We also have a ridiculous amount of stairs -- 34 total -- that were previously covered in carpet, and they now look amazing. Manny and his team were excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend.
