We experienced some needed changes during the refinishing of our entire house. Certain areas that are too stained to match everything (requiring replacing those boards or choosing a darker stain if you prefer), we believed we had hardwood flooring under the kitchen laminate and it turns out we did not. Each step of the way, Ruben would calmly lay out our options, and quickly show us the cost of each option. It was a very large project. They replaced all of our base boards and door trims throughout the house as well as refinishing floors throughout the entire house. We stayed in a hotel during the work and Ruben gave consistent updates so that we had a good guess of which day we move back into the house and plan accordingly for that. I would describe Ruben's approach as "high-touch". Answers questions via text, always happy to stop by just to drop off samples of colors or materials. I really appreciated this. This is a licensed and insured local business with a stellar reputation which is why we went with them. I'm so happy we did. I ran up and down the street, then went back to the park and called her name even louder. Suddenly, from across the park, I saw Fiona running as fast as she could straight toward me. At the same time, a man named Anthony got out of his car and ran toward her to help. When I finally picked Fiona up, I was so overwhelmed with relief and gratitude that I asked him if I could give him a hug. When I got back to the house, I found out something that touched my heart even more -- the entire crew from TSP Remodeling had actually stopped working and went out searching for Fiona to help bring her home safely. These men took time away from their jobs just to help me find my dog. That kind of compassion is rare, and it meant the world to me. He came and installed quickly and efficiently. No more leaks! Additionally, I had been in the process of installing new Subzero and Wolf appliances in the kitchen. The company has very strict requirements for installation of the refrigerator. Upon inspection, it was determined that the above refrigerator cabinet had to be raised to accommodate the new refrigerator hight. Also, the electrical outlet needed to be moved up several feet because all the electrical workings sit on top of the refrigerator, rather than below like most refrigerators. Chuey was able to make the necessary changes BUT, it didn't stop there! Because Subzero suggests a "built in" look for esthetics, I needed to add panels to fill a small gap. I could have purchased panels from Subzero for an added cost but Chuey was able to create a wood panel and stain it to match existing wood cabinets. This also required the crown molding on top the cabinets had to be added to fit the new changes. Chuey was able to find moldings and stained this to match. Chuey managed to work around both our busy schedules and this was much appreciated. I am very happy with my new appliances and all the extra work Chuey did to retrofit and create a beautiful esthetics in the kitchen! I would recommend Chuey and plan on more projects for his handy work!

It has transformed our home, the new baseboards look great, and we are very happy with the overall result. The installation did take considerably longer than expected due to scheduling delays, the extensive floor preparation that was needed, and later an unexpected shortage of flooring material. The amount of dust generated during the work also made it necessary for us to stay in a hotel for 11 nights. What I especially appreciated was how Rudy handled the difficulties. He remained professional, listened to our concerns, apologized for the problems we experienced, and worked with us on compensation that covered much of our hotel expense. That willingness to listen and work toward a fair resolution made a big difference to us. Our advice to anyone planning a large flooring project would be to discuss scheduling, crew availability, dust containment, and material planning in detail beforehand. Renovations can have unexpected complications, but ultimately what matters is both the quality of the finished work and how a company responds when problems arise. And at the end of the job, he encouraged me to compile a punch list of any issues that needed to be addressed in a return visit, which should happen very soon. Despite pretty much all of the work being finished - he has not asked for the 2nd half follow up payment yet - not until they complete the punch list at the followup visit. Really commendable company! I also love the music the install team plays during their work (they are also willing to turn it off if the customer needs it quite). So I was thrilled that they were willing to send me the youtube play list. Happy to recommend this company for your next flooring needs! He gave a fair quote and really took care of our house with care since we have connected living room and dining area. He covered the cabinets and put up divider films. The workmanship is awesome! To match rest of the floor is a tough task, and the area he re-surfaced is like new floor now and the used to be 'better' connected area now seem needing work which we didn't expect. I would highly recommend their services. We had previously had problems with our floor buckling and had it partially repaired previously by contractors that did not do it correctly. Everything looks clean, polished, and completely professional. Pricing felt fair for the quality and scope of the work. The only minor downside is that painting wasn't included, and the painter referral didn't work out for us, so we had to handle that separately. Updated review now that work is done…read more I can't even believe this is my kitchen. Matt and his team truly are miracle workers. First, everyone laughed when I told them a contractor told me two weeks start to finish... and dang if they didn't get close. Two and a half weeks and only because they found a few unexpected obstacles. (Not their fault) First, I'll say the whole team was amazing. I hate workers in my house but Jose became a fixture. Part of the reason they went over a couple days is probably because my husband liked talking to him (don't tell Matt). Jose was so great, and had such attention to detail. He was telling us about potential annoyances and giving us solutions before we could even think of them (and I think about everything!). All the other guys, Mike, Juan, and Rafa, were just as great. Matt came by just about every day to check on progress and address any unexpected issues. When things did come up they didn't take the easy way out, they made sure it was fixed properly even if that meant ordering a new door or trim piece. Matt took every idea I had and ran with it. Even added some things I didn't know existed, like a cool corner pull out, which impresses everyone. I got my touch sink, kick out trash, pocket doors, and pull out pantry drawers. I couldn't have asked for more. I think many people came here looking to get cabinets refaced. But I'm here to say ask them about brand new cabinets. The cost difference is not as drastic as you would think (although not insignificant). But for a kitchen I will live with forever it was worth it. Also worth noting, I was stressed about added costs. Matt assured me from the beginning his goal is to keep the end price as close to the quote as possible. And dang if he didn't mean it. Our end invoice was just a couple hundred dollars over the initial quote because of those unexpected issues. To only have to deal with one team for the whole project (well two, I got a separate contractor for the floors), was such a blessing. Please do yourself a favor and call BCR.
