I have filed a Better Business Bureau report against this company. I am that upset. I will be sharing to everyone I know about their deceptive sales tactics. The movers who came to do the move were excellent. Polite, professional and positive. They are true ambassadors of excellence. They moved quickly, efficiently and carefully all at once. Unfortunately, they do NOT get a bonus each time we give a good review. That was a LIE and what I was told which is what sold me on the entire EXPENSIVE move. The ONLY reason why I didn't choose a less EXPENSIVE moving company or just snag some TaskRabbit movers was BECAUSE I was told I did NOT have to tip BECAUSE the drivers earn a bonus ON MY GREAT REVIEW. So when the movers came I had bought them some bottles of water each and had a $20 bill for each for an extra lunch tip. I had NO IDEA they worked for tips until later. I was SO ASHAMED that NONE of the $990 cost for 4 mile move was NOT being shared directly with them. I thought the bonus was the sign of a great company caring for their people. It was a blatant lie. THIS ENTIRE COMPANY IS A SCAM It doesn't matter how many people I talk to, or how many reviews I give, they simply do not care about the customer. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY For those interested in the whole story: All My Sons moving damaged my beloved antique desk beyond repair, dented my neighbors gutter with their truck, took 8 HOURS for a move that was supposed to be 3-4hrs, and in the end forced me to pay before releasing any of my stuff. I never write bad reviews but this company's lack of response to their poor service has forced me to warn people. They really do NOT care about the quality of their service. This move cost me $2300 for a 2 bedroom move that had a second location literally 2 MINUTES away. We did not have an extreme excess of stuff - I was expecting to pay about $1000 after our phone consultation, and ended up paying double. I know for a fact no other moving company in the area would charge this much for a small, local move like this. The movers were obviously not trained properly, taking double the amount of time I was quoted, damaging my stuff, charging me for a kitchen pack where they used my kitchen towels haphazardly wrap my fragile dishes and throw them in a box, and charging me extra for their "packing materials". Not to mention when they finally left the first location, they took a 40min detour when the second place was 2min away. I was lucky I had an AirTag on some luggage because I thought they were going to steal my stuff. I'm not one to usually post but I have to after this disaster with All My Sons Moving Company. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. The day of the move: I get a call at 8:40 AM from the driver saying they are pumping gas and will be on their way. I had to help them the entire time and the employees were even shocked that I helped and said "this is the most a customer has ever helped us" and were thankful cause if not we would still be unloading as I type this at 2am. Even my mother in law and pregnant wife did more work than the third person who just stood there 90% of the time staring unless told to do something basic. Finally we get to the new home at 3pm while I'm frustrated with the move as well as the other 2 hardworking employees. They were just as confused as why they would add someone incapable of lifting heavy objects despite the obvious job description. I bought them lunch as a nice gesture because they actually did a really good job for the terrible situation we were all in. Eric calls and says he's got someone on the way to grab the appliances and TVs so I send my wife over there to open the door for him. Also, Eric tells his employees to immediately stop moving into the new home, take the truck that has everything loaded back to the old house to help that person disconnect and load everything. I was irate at this point. I said why would you make your crew drive back to the old place with all my stuff to increase your liability of breaking something. Tell the guy that's there to disconnect/disassemble whatever he can and when we're done at least unloading here then they can go over and help. I said "Eric if this were your move today and you were me would you be happy with this?" The silence was deafening until finally a "No" mumbled from his mouth. He finally agreed to allow the crew to keep working and I was not paying a penny until this move was complete. Needless to say, this was an utter, complete failure from a management level for what was needed for this job. Two guys show up in an empty truck that were instructed to come help move the fridge and things but Eric gave them the wrong address. They were very helpful and efficient but I eventually asked if one of them minded going over to help the guy with the fridge etc at the old place and he drove over there. They finally pull up with the final truck around 7pm. Employees were trying to figure out who was going to take a truck to the airport and moving things around which wasted more time. All in all the move did not finish until 10pm. Eric left for the day and so now Tony is the next person that is being passed along this absurd situation. He tried to charge me for 12 hours of labor even though Eric said there would be no extra charges after 545pm that his employees witnessed on speaker phone. I honestly should not have paid a penny to this terrible company when I'm the customer and my pregnant wife, mother-in-law and I all had to help because of their lack of planning from a management level. I hope this helps anybody looking to use this company to go elsewhere. I' ve moved 5 times over the past 50 years and All My Sons is the worst by a factor of ten. They were hired to pack, store and unpack for us. They left things at the house and we had to pay to get them back the next day. This place had problems from the start. First of all be ready to pay around $139 and hour base with 15% Gas and they also try to sneak charge you an hour's pay of getting there and back (we are both located in Dallas). Aka one hour of actual work = $300+ of actual pay. Guys get there and we're messing around for 20 minutes and I mention we're only doing the big items. TVs, Tables, Couch, Bed - that sort of thing. For the first 30 minutes slog actual work they're wrapping small side tables and it required me to stop the move on the spot and threaten to cancel which it promptly then became paperwork time. These guys filled out the form for me and did not allow me to select inventory list and now post move I am missing items. Things like a gym bag that I had completely filled with clothes for ease in the move (completely identifiable if it's around). Ultimately to move a total of around maybe 12-15 items it took nearly 4 hours and then after I offered to buy lunch (denied) we still had the guts to go after gratuity. I was also making runs in my car with them to get the smaller items moved, but this whole experience was a fever dream and there's no shot I have it again. read more

These guys were supposed to be here at 10 am After many excuses they got here at 6pm (8hours late) Said it would take 6-8 hours to do the move and I told them I'd been waiting all day so all night was no big deal now. The movers were very nice; however, they seem to be new to moving. They didn't bring any tools even though I explained during scheduling some things would need disassembly. They asked me to borrow my tools. It took so long to take the bed apart because I didn't have an electric drill. They didn't have a plan for junking items and had to use my wagon for transit, and they dropped my items several times due to their loading of the dollies. I didn't elect to use any packing materials, but they charged $80 to wrap items that were being junked. So they wrap up trash but drop things I was actually keeping?! They don't charge fuel based on actual fuel used. I moved within the same apartment complex and was charged $150 for fuel and a travel charge of $149. Fuel and travel shouldn't vary based on the length of time it takes to move someone it should be based on distance. They started the clock at 9am but didn't show up until 9:20. A move that should have taken 2 hours tops, took them 4 hours and then another 2 hours to wrap up and junk furniture. The bill came to over $1700 to move 5 apartments down the hall. My refrigerator was damaged on one side that wasn't there before they didn't put the refrigerator back together even though they said we only put things back together that we take apart as they wouldn't put my bed back together. You might as well just use Uhaul . Because they do not know how to pack. They didn't even put mine mattress standing up. They rolled it. Up instead . So that no more stuff would fit on their truck. And then they said that their policy says that they don't have to put a blanket on something that smells really prove it. I take it. I reached out to the company looking for a quick move due to my situation and mentioned my budget constraints. I appreciated their prompt response but was disappointed when, after taking my deposit, I didn't receive a callback as promised within 30 minutes. As my move date approached, I attempted to check on my appointment time. Without consulting my availability, they proceeded to book my appointment. When I inquired about changing the appointment to a later time to ensure payment issues wouldn't arise, they canceled my appointment entirely and kept my deposit. I didn't receive any communication explaining the reason for this cancellation, which was frustrating. I believe it's important for businesses to recognize that every customer has the potential to bring in more clients for you. I suggest this company take a more personalized approach in their customer interactions. Given that my appointment was canceled, I feel a refund of my deposit would be appropriate. Jerry spends aprox 30 min on the phone with us going over what we have & quotes us 4 guys & $2600-$3500 for a 2,400sqft home plus whatever we could get from our storage & they'll pack the kitchen & a few small items we have left. This is approx 3 wks prior to our move date. Jerry also tells us that the guys don't get paid travel time, but we pay mileage. That didn't sound right, but he assured us. Three days before we move, on a Fri afternoon, they contact us & tell us that this is an impossible price for 4 guys. We're told it'll take 2 trucks, 8 guys & $5,500+!! WTHeck?? "LV" (28 yrs experience) schedules himself to come to our house the next day...now 2 days before our move. When he's finished, LV now says that we need 3 trucks, 9 guys, they'll do no packing (save time), & the cost is $7,100+, but he'll give us 5% off for $6,900+. Again, this is 2 DAYS BEFORE WE'RE SUPPOSED TO MOVE!! THEY WANTED TO CHARGE US DOUBLE THE PRICE, & then to try & appease us, they'll give us a 5% discount. The whole time LV was here, he assured us that everyone who works for the co is trained, certified & is top notch, but he doesn't know Jerry, however. We have what we'd consider the normal amount of living rm furniture & very little bedroom furniture & minimal boxes. Most everything is in storage, which if it fit, we'd put it in the truck. Wish I would've read the reviews beforehand. The 2 movers I had were good no issues with them. The problem was the final bill. My move was 7 miles and the charge was $142 for fuel. That charge plus the travel was $301 by itself. I was actually shocked once I checked my bank statement and had to go back and review the charges. With tip this 7 mile move came out to $1,013. Poor service, broke several items including the fixtures for the washer and dryer. Went to check the place I moved out of and found tons of screws, bolts, and nuts on the floor. They had to have come from the furniture but why wouldn't they notice the parts won't fit together if you don't have the correct parts? Paid top dollar for a move into a storage unit while our house was finishing being built. We asked what to do if we pull furniture out of the storage unit and it's damaged (since we couldn't see it), and were told we could file a claim. Upon pulling our furniture out, saw that my solid wood dressers and table were badly damaged (cracked/scuffed/dented/etc), but a claim submitted to all my sons was denied. we have photos with timestamps showing the furniture was in perfect condition before the move, and damage before moved out. If we had known they would not honor a claim of damage done by THEIR movers, we would have made the movers stop with every single piece to be inspected as it was moved into the unit. We were sent 3 college students, one who (and I quote) said "I hope these guys are ready to pull my weight because I'm hungover". One box was actually dropped during the move, and a glass dish was shattered. We wanted to be decent people and not file a claim as it was an inexpensive dish, but seeing my cherished solid wood furniture that I had JUST repainted destroyed just does not make sense for a move we invested so much into. read more

The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Quoted an estimated cost of about $600. Seemed okay since I was moving a 1 bedroom apartment less 2 miles. She said it was $197/hour and since everything was already boxed up, shouldn't take more than a couple hours but with their minimum (1 hour drive time), I could live with the $600 estimate. The guys that came out were very nice, polite, and helpful. The entire move including the 2 mile trip took about 3 hours. Then they show me the bill. The company had included $202.00 for fuel, $197 for travel, and $140 for packing materials (everything was already in moving boxes). I get on the phone with the jerk from the "main office" and tell him that the $202.00 for fuel for a 2 mile trip seems a little extreme. He says he can lower it to $93.00 and that there is "more to it than just the fuel". This seems odd since everything else had a line item in the bill. I told him that if he didn't adjust the bill to make it fair I would post a bad review on every site I can find, and he says that he "doesn't care". The bottom line ended up being $1,128.15 (with the $100 deposit) to move a 1 bedroom apartment 2 miles. I wish I would have read these reviews before hiring All My Sons. When choosing them to move my furniture to storage, during a home renovation, the company asked if I wanted insurance to protect our furniture if it was damaged. I paid for this. After their team moved my items, we noticed a hole in our leather couch. All My Sons informed us that it only covered things if moved to their storage. This was never told to us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their team was extremely rude and their Chief Customer Officer, Ed Finer, showed the same latch of care by never returning a message.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We now have a damaged couch to replace. I have enjoyed my overall experience with All My Sons Moving and Storage. I booked on short notice, 2 days out, and they were able to accommodate. They sent Rios and a helper, lol, I dont know the guy's name, but both men were really cool, efficient, and careful. They moved quickly and wrapped everything that was fragile or easily damaged. The only issue was the price. They were quite expensive, they told me prior to moving anything, the cost of each supply if it was going to be needed. I wasn't expecting it to be so high, but again, last-minute move, and I had a lot of big stuff going into storage. Their truck was pretty much full. If I had more time to shop around, I may have gone with a more inexpensive place, but I do feel good about how everything was handled, even the communication with the company was good. If I could give this company a zero, I would. My father is a combat veteran, senior citizen and on a fixed income. They quoted one price and then charged triple that for moving a bed, some boxes, a couch and a table 4.1 miles away!! They used bait and switch tactics by loading everything up, and THEN having you sign paperwork, where they disclose a fuel charge, surcharge and who knows what else. Who in their right mind is going to say take all of it off the truck and leave? At that point, they know they have you!!! They unload the truck and have you sign the final paperwork, where they proceed to charge you an ASTRONOMICAL amount!!! BEWARE!!!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! CALL SOMEONE ELSE!!
