Dear Mr. Chris Generale and/or Mrs. Betty Peterson, I am writing to express my profound disappointment and utmost frustration with the recent moving service provided by All My Sons in Charlotte, NC. The experience I had with your company was nothing short of a complete and utter nightmare. I implore you to take immediate action to address the numerous issues and instances of misconduct that occurred throughout the entire process. To provide as comprehensive of an account as possible of the appalling events, I will outline each incident in detail: Inaccurate estimate and modifications: Your company initially provided an estimate based on 7 hours, 2 trucks, and 4 workers. However, your estimator modified the quote to include 5 workers, which was a positive sign at the time since it aligned with our specific request for a shorter completion time. However, this change inexplicably resulted in a lower quote of approximately $376/hr. as opposed to roughly $420/hr., raising concerns about the integrity and transparency of your pricing. Lack of communication and delayed arrival: Despite the assurance of a 30-minute heads up before arrival, your team arrived at the storage facility without providing any notice, causing unnecessary delays and disruptions to our carefully planned schedule. Insufficient workforce and lack of productivity: To our surprise and dismay, we discovered that we had only 4 workers instead of the 5 we had ordered. This immediate deviation from our agreement was a blatant disregard for our requests and expectations. To make matters worse, only one worker actively assisted us in lifting and segregating boxes and other items, while the remaining three workers stood idly by, doing nothing. This lack of engagement and productivity was highly unprofessional and demonstrated a clear lack of commitment to providing satisfactory service. Property damage and mishandling of items: Throughout the unloading process, we experienced numerous instances of property damage and mishandling of our belongings. Notably, a dresser was improperly handled, resulting in damage to our apartment's drywall. Furthermore, one of your workers exhibited complete disregard for the safety and integrity of our belongings by inappropriately handling a very expensive TV. These incidents reflect a severe lack of professionalism, care, and respect for our property. Time inefficiencies and unexplained disappearances: The time inefficiencies observed during the move were astounding and unacceptable. Delays in truck arrival, lengthy truck swapping processes, and unexplained disappearances of your workers significantly prolonged the overall duration of the move. Two workers inexplicably vanished on multiple extended periods, claiming to be using the restroom on one occasion and found sitting in their truck on two other occasions. Their lengthy absences raised serious suspicions about the accuracy of time billed. Additionally, these prolonged disappearances directly impacted the productivity and efficiency of the move, resulting in unnecessary delays and an exponential increase in the time required to complete the job. Based on conversations with your local team, it would appear you deliberately favor this operating style to artificially inflate your billing to the customer. Furthermore, two of your employees had to be taken off the job for drug tests since substances were smelled in their vicinity after such disappearances. Which further compounded our labor issue by reducing our team down to two workers. Thus exacerbating the delay in completion of the job. Sexist and Discriminatory treatment of women: The treatment of the women involved in our move was nothing short of discriminatory and deeply concerning. Your employees consistently ignored their requests, choosing only to respond to the male members present. Furthermore, your workers gaslighted them when they expressed frustration, exhibiting a dismissive and disrespectful attitude. This discriminatory behavior is wholly unacceptable and has no place in any professional setting. Inadequate responsiveness and dismissive attitude: When we initially addressed our concerns with your management team, the response we received was dismissive and lacked any sense of accountability. Your operations manager belittled my fiancé's legitimate complaints by suggesting that she simply needed to "get things off her chest." Such a response is not only dismissive but also highly disrespectful, sexist, and deeply offensive. It is astonishing that your management team failed to take her communication of frustrations seriously and instead attributed her complaints to mere emotions. This dismissive attitude demonstrates a complete lack of understanding and respect for customer feedback. If we could give this company NEGATIVE 100 STARS we would. DON'T USE THEM PADDED THE BILL, THREATENED/EXTORTED MONEY FROM 93 YR. OLD WOMAN. In summary, this is what occurred: We helped our 93 year-old mother move and hired AMS to do the move (we retained the location at 50 Houghton Street, Providence, RI). This company engaged in padding the bill by charging our mother for packing materials they did not use, fabricating the actual labor hours to run up labor charge and took more time than they should have to do the move in order to pad the bill further. After repeated requests, they refuse to give our mother a detailed receipt accounting for the specific charges - we assume because they know they padded the bill and cannot honestly account for the charges. After padding the bill they used threatening tactics to bully our mother to pay much more than she was told she would pay by holding her furniture hostage. They were rude, insulting and completely UNPROFESSIONAL. To start, they did not show up with proper packing materials to do the job despite being told and shown specifically what needed to be packed. When we asked them to get proper materials, they refused the request, became very argumentative, and insulting. For example, they claimed they "ran out of bubble wrap" and when we suggested they go buy some at Staples they refused and told us to get packing materials ourselves if we wanted them. We spent the first hour dealing with argumentative, rude, hostile AMS people on site and at their office as they refused to get proper packing materials, they then said they would not get more materials and if we didn't like it, they would "part company with us," meaning leave my mother's stuff and not move it leaving her high and dry. (this threat came from someone in the Houghton Street Office). A terrible extortion tactic. In the end as you will see on the receipt they charged our mother $486.50 for packing materials - almost 25% of the entire cost of the move and the materials they used were small amounts of shrink wrap and paper, certainly NOT $486.50 worth of materials. FYI, the warehouse where they keep packing materials is less than a mile from the loading site so they could have just made a quick run in 10 minutes to get proper materials instead they chose to do nothing to honor the contract and get proper materials, instead they chose to spend that time arguing with us. This bullying, abrasive tactic typified the day. The move was supposed to start at 8am but didn't start until 9am due to AMS refusing to get the proper packing materials on site. But in calculating labor hours they used 8am as the starting point and when we questioned that and objected, saying 9am was the ACTUAL start of actual work and that they spent the first hour arguing us about packing materials, John in their Houghton Street office said to me personally quote, "well whose fault is that that you spent that time arguing about bubble wrap!"  They loaded the truck with the first load of belongings but before agreeing to unload it they insisted our mother make payment. We have NEVER had a moving company insist on payment mid-move. We calmly and appropriately questioned the amount she was being charged since the charge at that point was the FULL amount of the bid that we agreed to for the ENTIRE job and yet the move wasn't done. The AMS response was to not allow us to question anything or give our side of the story about what we think our mother should be charged. Instead, we got a threat from AMS that if our mother "didn't pay what they were demanding AMS would have our movers take the truck to their lot and lock up our mother's furniture and charge her a daily storage fee until she pays" (this threat came from another person in the Houghton Street Office). We had no choice but to pay. Then the 2nd part of the move happened and the same tactic was used with the 2nd load of furniture/belongings. Pay the overcharged-padded amount, don't question us, don't disagree with us and if she doesn't pay, we will lock up your mother's furniture and belongings. Here's the game they played: They argued with us about packing materials for the 1st hour, did no work in that first hour then had the nerve to charge us a labor charge of $239 for that first hour when they did no work. They charged us for 40 minutes of travel time to get the truck back to their warehouse when their warehouse is LITERALLY ONE block away from where the final unload was (it is actually a 2-minute drive). The movers took 2 trips from the loading to the unloading site. Each trip should have taken 10 minutes, instead, one trip took them 25 minutes to get from the loading site to the unloading site (the distance between the 2 sites is .7 miles) and the 2nd trip took them 20 minutes. So our mother was charged 45 minutes as labor time when it should have been 20 minutes total to get to and from the loading and unloading site. They claim the move ended at 3pm when it ended at 2:18pm. read more

Complaint: All My Sons Moving & Storage / New City Moving Background !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Warning to Consumers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not use All My Sons / New City without: Independent written confirmation of your chosen coverage. Refusing to pay until coverage is accurately reflected in your signed documents. New City Moving (Chicago) was acquired by All My Sons Moving & Storage (Dallas, TX). Since the acquisition, decisions appear to come from Texas, while the Chicago team simply executes orders. For all practical purposes, New City now operates as All My Sons--with unfortunately, corporate bullying. In my experience, All My Sons reneged on written agreements provided by New City Moving, leaving me with extensive damage and refusing to honor coverage I paid for. I strongly urge anyone considering New City Moving and All My Sons to get everything in writing before making payment. If issues arise, insist on written correction before releasing final payment. Timeline of Events June 3, 2025 - Received a fully executed moving estimate from New City with Option 3: Full Replacement Value Protection selected. June 20, 2025 - Received a move confirmation from New City. Option 3 protection was omitted, defaulting to $0.30/lb coverage--contradicting my estimate. The confirmation stated: "Regardless of prior selection, final valuation is selected at time of Bill of Lading on move day." (p. 2 of 2, Confirmation CIDxxxxxxx) Since this was in writing, I did not question it and intended to make my final selection on move day. June 25, 2025 (midnight, during move) - On speakerphone with a New City representative, in the presence of the lead mover (L.) and my spouse, I finalized valuation per the earlier confirmation and paid over $11,000 via AMEX for the move, of which, $200 for Option 2: $20,000 Full Value Protection. (Option 3 was no longer available, but given the timing, I did not push back.). I then received an emailed file showing only $0.30/lb coverage and immediately raised the issue online with New City. I was told a manual override was required since it was past midnight and the office was closed, but was reassured I would hear from the office the next day. June 27, 2025 - Received written confirmation from New City (L.N., Confirmations Manager) acknowledging my $200 payment and $20,000 declared value protection. However, no updated file was issued reflecting the declared value. Early July - Submitted a $25,000 damage claim with photos and comparables. Damaged items included: Room & Board armoire (destroyed) Baldwin piano (soundboard damaged; inspected by 3rd party) Baker breakfront (both sides dented/scratched) Artwork (destroyed) Table glass (chipped) Multiple dents/scratches to furniture and wall damage requiring repair July 16, 2025 - Received a settlement offer from All My Sons for $0.30/lb coverage only. July 18, 2025 - Provided proof of additional coverage, including written confirmation and receipt. New City Operations Manager (Y.O.) confirmed my payment, spoke with All My Sons' Claims Specialist A.W., and later Y.O. told me the issue was "squared away" with A.W. July 22, 2025 - A.W. acknowledged the call with Y.O. and resubmission and said an "updated offer" was forthcoming. July 28, 2025 - A.W. reversed position, denied documentation existed, and claimed that even if Option 2 were honored, it would result in a lower payout than $0.30/lb--an absurd assertion. July 29, 2025 - A.W. issued a "final offer" of $1,556, admitting I was charged for additional coverage (though misstating $50 instead of $200), but refused to honor it, citing the Bill of Lading. The final offer included a refund of the $50 pain for additional coverage. L.N. and Y.O. have now gone quiet. I assume All My Sons instructed both to refrain from any further help. August 1, 2025 - Text exchange with the original founder of New City (B.S.). B.S. reviewed my documentation and called All My Sons' refusal a "scam." He attempted to intervene with their management but no resolution followed. August 4, 2025 - Text exchange with All My Son's District Manager, R.D., ended with "J.S., I know you worked with B.S. in the past and the experience with the NCM team was not up to par. So what can I do to make this right."? ... "Myself I have communicated with them about how you purchased valudation all I can do is refund money on your card". Current Status BBB complaint filed - no response from All My Sons to date. Complaints filed with the Illinois and Texas Attorneys General. BBB advised: if unresolved, pursue small claims court. All My Sons (operating under the New City Moving name) accepted payment for $20,000 declared value coverage, issued written acknowledgment, and then refused to honor it--falling back to $0.30/lb liability. In my view, this practice is deceptive, unethical, and potentially fraudulent. Consumers deserve transparency and accountability when entrusting a company with their homes and belongings. read more

Please read before hiring AMS. If you care about your never recovering your property please hire another co (they all price match). AMS not only lost or stole ~$15k of property, they encouraged me to commit insurance fraud, and never returned emails or calls. The Carrollton, Tx Location handles claims and they refused to return emails or calls. In 2H 2019, I used AMS to move from CLT to Arlington, VA w 2 added stops and purchased 3rd party moving ins for $1300 to cover $130k of property. Any moving ins policy requires mover-provided inventory at the point of origin. When AMS did not start this, I called the rep Scott Hyland, who told me bc they didn't bring forms, this would be done using the inventory I emailed him. Storage unit pick-up- I called the owner, Danny McNally, telling him they couldn't enter the inventory as Scott said. McNally said, "I give you my word that this will be done. I will meet the guys with the truck right after they leave the storage unit and will do this tonight before they leave CLT for your move." Although not happy, he was putting "HIS WORD" on completing this, and I had to move and didn't have a choice. Next day/stop, NO inventory. I called McNally upset, he said "I guarantee I will take care of any damage, but the list will be done when they unload in Arlington". This is not what is legally required by ins cos, AND at drop off, that is only what arrives! Next am, I get a call from McNally, "I can't even make this up, but an animal ate thru a hose and the truck broke down. I can't even make this up." Well, HE MADE IT UP. I asked about the movers about the animal. They had no idea what I was talking about and acknowledged the story was a RIDICULOUS LIE. Finally stop/unloaded, I called again expressing anxiety that items had already been damaged and wouldn't know of others until unpacked. Again, McNally gave HIS WORD he would take care of anything that was damaged or missing. He apologized and was SO EMBARRASSED this move failed to meet reasonable standards or services. I was SO appreciative that he actually acknowledged all his mistakes and was holding himself accountable for this disaster. I could "count on him" to do what was right. Unpacking, more and more items were missing and was ~$10k the last time McNally actually returned a call. By the time I accounted for all lost, it was ~$15k! I repeatedly called/emailed McNally, Corp claims dept, and only got one email. Krystal Newton (corp claims) encouraged me to file a claim with the 3rd party policy, and when I told her that that would be INSURANCE FRAUD since EVERY moving policy requires inventory lists to take place BEFORE the transit. She then said to file a police report for theft and was so hostile. We all know that type of "customer service" rep. I said, "please do not treat me like I am someone who is trying to rip YOU off. I hired your company and trusted them to move my belongings and comply with the moving agreement, and not only did it take 4 days to do a 2 day move, I am missing thousands of dollars of property! Please put yourself in my position, and try to be respectful". Newton actually apologized for her tone and email some papers to fill out. When I tried to speak to her again, because the forms didn't apply to my particular complaint, I only got an email back telling me to call the police and file a report. I continued to reach out to McNally and Newton for months and they did not return calls/emails. I disputed the AMS charge through my cc, and provided them w so much documentation, I immediately got a $5k refund. Why did I not sue AMS/McNally? I did not pursue this in the courts bc when a moving co pays a claim thru their internal ins, it's reported to ins credit bureaus - not so w some 3rd party. It impacts your ability to get new company policies or rates for 8 yrs. Since I was purchasing a new home, I weighed the losses, the cc credit and was willing to forfeit remaining reimbursement to maintain my long-term credit history. RE: Denton, TX office of All My Sons.... If you've read some of the reviews on here, you probably have already made up your mind there are better, more reliable movers. But let me convince you if you you're still not sure. Never, ever, EVER, EVER use All My Sons Moving. Here's my experience... A) They sent 3 guys and a truck and still couldn't manage to move a 1468 sq foot house. They said my bill was $1240 after 5 hours, and they had not even touched my garage. They said it would cost me another $700 (??) to finish. The lady who booked my move implied it would take just 3 hours and the movers were "very fast". No. They aren't. B) There was one thing of value in my dresser (new Airpods in the box), and they are missing. Just one thing of value. And its gone. C) They HID (like children??) a 6 month-old 60 inch flat screen TV they damaged in an out of the way closet, unpacked, facing the wall. They managed to scratch the ENTIRE length of the screen. Then they managed to punch a giant spiderweb crack into the middle of the screen. Its like they did it on purpose, I swear. It's like they keyed my TV, then fast-pitched a baseball into the middle of it. Then they hid it. Like children. After they promised to pack it up professionally and take care of it. D) When I called to ask about the price, I told Mickey in the Denton office I was going to give them a chance to make it right before I posted this review on multiple sites, multiple times to make sure people knew how bad they were. Mickey said he would talk to his supervisor Zach. No call back from Mickey. When I called Zach, he immediately dismissed my concerns and it was clear he was not going to help at all. I called Customer Care and asked for Zach's boss. All they kept saying is "you filled out a claim form for the TV, you don't need to speak to Zach's boss". They hung up on me. I finally called a different All My Sons regional office and they gave me Vic DelFonzo's (sic) name - he apparently is some sort of regional VP. He was more concerned I had a heated exchange with his employee Zach than addressing their horrible job. He said he would call me back at the end of the day. No call back from Vic. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE. Look at the reviews. They couldn't care less. E) The movers themselves said that their people are horrible at estimating jobs and it causes them problems all the time. Then they offered to come out the next day and help move the rest for a cheaper price if I rented my own UHaul. That's the kind of operation they're running there. Guess what - never heard from them again, too. F) As in the grade I'm giving this company. You had ONE job. Move my stuff. Move stuff from a house that is not much bigger than many apartments. Move it quickly, move it without damaging or stealing anything. Move it for a fair price, like the many other companies are able to do in the Metroplex. Instead, you don't finish the job, you don't address customer complaints, I haven't heard a single thing about my claim for the TV, and I had to pay one of your competitors (AB Moving) $400 to finish my move. An they did it perfectly. PERFECTLY. I'll update this review if they ever pay my claim for the TV. But I'm not holding my breath. Reading some of these other reviews, I can tell that All My Sons Moving decided that as long as they can overcharge people, they'll stay profitable no matter how many bad reviews are written about them. Folks, business doesn't work that way. Bad reviews have a ratchet effect. Pretty soon enough of them pile up such that NO ONE wants to use your service. Pretty soon the short money you went for today won't outlast the long money you're going to lose tomorrow. Pretty soon, All My Sons Moving will be just another cautionary tale about a business who didn't care, and then lost any chance of redeeming themselves to the communities they serve. I live in a 1 Bedroom Apartment in Dallas, TX and was moving to another 1 Bedroom Apartment 7 minutes away in Dallas, TX on Saturday, May 2nd 2020. I called on Wednesday, April 1st 2020 and got a Quote for a 3 Man Crew with AMS in Carrolton, TX. I spoke with the Manager there and his name was Christopher. I had been recommended to use AMS by a friend, who used All My Sons Moving & Storage (AMS) out of Fort Worth, TX for her move. When I called, I discussed extensively my concerns because the apartment I was moving out of was up 3 flights of stairs and there was no elevator. I was assured by the Manager that that would not be a problem, particularly for a 3 Man Crew, as they can break down 1 Bedroom in half an hour and handle the stairs with no additional time being added. Impressed by this and knowing I would have AMS move only my furniture and a few boxes, I booked my move on Friday, April 3rd 2020 for Saturday, May 2nd 2020 at 9:00 AM. I was urged to use a 3 Man Crew by the Manager, as well, because he told me it would make the move go significantly faster. I was never informed that I would have to pay for the first hour of Travel Time it took the movers to get to my Old Apartment. I was never informed that I would have to pay for Fuel. I also was never informed that I would have to pay for Materials, eventhough I provided the 3 Man Crew a mattress bag & any other Materials they would have needed. The 3 Man Crew I was provided was completely unprofessional. They moved extremely slow and took about 3 breaks before we even finished loading the truck at my Old Apartment. They complained about how they needed a day off and did NOT work together in packing and getting my furniture onto the truck. 3 long hours later the 3 Man Crew had finished loading my stuff into the truck at my Old Apartment. I was told once we arrived at the New Apartment, which had an elevator and would make the 2nd half of this move much easier, that I would have to take care of the bill before the 3 Man Crew unloaded the truck. Upon getting to my New Apartment I was presented with a $1000 bill by the Movers. I told the Movers I did NOT feel comfortable paying that amount, as the move should never have taken that long and also because this was nothing close to what I was quoted when I initially booked the move with AMS. The Movers called their Manager Caleb for me to discuss this with him. I told Caleb about my experience and he gave me a $70 discount and said that was all he could do. He also told me that if I didn't pay, the Movers would NOT be unloading my stuff at my New Apartment. Reluctantly I payed and made another call to AMS' Carrolton, TX office to speak to another Manager. My coffee table had been broken when unloading at my New Apartment. Additionally, my $1700 Crate & Barrel Couch, which I urged them to wrap carefully, had several spots on it where the fabric had now been ripped. I will have to recover the Couch due to how noticeable the rips are. The 2nd Manager I talked to forwarded me a Claim Packet to fill out and said that was all he could do. I have already filed a Claim for my damaged furniture and I am currently following up with All My Son's Corporate Office about this terrible experience. As a 27 year old female, I know that I was extremely taken advantage of in this situation. Do yourselves a favor and do NOT do business with All My Sons Moving & Storage. Save yourself the headache. I called on Wednesday, April 1st 2020 and got a Quote for a 3 Man Crew with AMS in Carrolton, TX. I spoke with the Manager there and his name was Christopher. I had been recommended to use AMS by a friend, who used All My Sons Moving & Storage (AMS) out of Fort Worth, TX for her move. When I called, I discussed extensively my concerns because the apartment I was moving out of was up 3 flights of stairs and there was no elevator. I was assured by the Manager that that would not be a problem, particularly for a 3 Man Crew, as they can break down 1 Bedroom in half an hour and handle the stairs with no additional time being added. Impressed by this and knowing I would have AMS move only my furniture and a few boxes, I booked my move on Friday, April 3rd 2020 for Saturday, May 2nd 2020 at 9:00 AM. I was urged to use a 3 Man Crew by the Manager, as well, because he told me it would make the move go significantly faster. I was never informed that I would have to pay for the first hour of Travel Time it took the movers to get to my Old Apartment. I was never informed that I would have to pay for Fuel. I also was never informed that I would have to pay for Materials, eventhough I provided the 3 Man Crew a mattress bag & any other Materials they would have needed. The 3 Man Crew I was provided was completely unprofessional. They moved extremely slow and took about 3 breaks before we even finished loading the truck at my Old Apartment. They complained about how they needed a day off and did NOT work together in packing and getting my furniture onto the truck. 3 long hours later the 3 Man Crew had finished loading my stuff into the truck at my Old Apartment. I was told once we arrived at the New Apartment, which had an elevator and would make the 2nd half of this move much easier, that I would have to take care of the bill before the 3 Man Crew unloaded the truck. Upon getting to my New Apartment I was presented with a $1000 bill by the Movers. I told the Movers I did NOT feel comfortable paying that amount, as the move should never have taken that long and also because this was nothing close to what I was quoted when I initially booked the move with AMS. The Movers called their Manager Caleb for me to discuss this with him. I told Caleb about my experience and he gave me a $70 discount and said that was all he could do. He also told me that if I didn't pay, the Movers would NOT be unloading my stuff at my New Apartment. Reluctantly I payed and made another call to AMS' Carrolton, TX office to speak to another Manager. My coffee table had been broken when unloading at my New Apartment. Additionally, my $1700 Crate & Barrel Couch, which I urged them to wrap carefully, had several spots on it where the fabric had now been ripped. I will have to recover the Couch due to how noticeable the rips are. The 2nd Manager I talked to forwarded me a Claim Packet to fill out and said that was all he could do. I have already filed a Claim for my damaged furniture and I am currently following up with All My Son's Corporate Office about this terrible experience. As a 27 year old female, I know that I was extremely taken advantage of in this situation. Do yourselves a favor and do NOT do business with All My Sons Moving & Storage. Save yourself the headache. I have yet to be refunded for the exorbitant price of my move. I also have yet to be compensated for the furniture that was damaged during my move. If I could give less than one star I would. I have never experienced such a lack of customer service and internal communication in my life. I scheduled my appointment for July 16. Due to work and a doctor visit I needed to come back the first week of July. I called the Fri, before and asked if I could change my appt. The Ops Mngr said July 2nd, was booked. He looked at my load and said, "oh you're a small load, we should be able to fit that in". He asked me to let him review things and he'd call me right back. Come Mon, I hadn't heard anything so I call back. I get another guy, he says the same spill that they are booked that day. I told him I had spoke to Shawn and he said he should be able to fit me in. He asked me to let him review things and he'd call me back. AGAIN I get no call back. Tues I call and speak with Cody. I get everything confirmed that they will be out Thursday afternoon to do my pickup. Wed,Cody calls to confirm the appt for 11-2. I advise I can't do 11 due to a drs appt. He said OKAY, he would try to have the guys show up closer to 2. YAY, all is set. Thur a little before 12. I get a call that the truck is getting gas and on their way to my place. This again is Shawn , I tell him that I spoke with Cody and confirmed a time closer to 2 because I Had a drs appt. He proceeds to tell me, that he is the manager and Cody is his assistant, that he can't have his guys sitting around with no work getting paid. I reiterated that I was on my way to the dr and that he needs to speak with Cody about the arrangements. Again he advised that he was the manager and that they don't recommend people schedule appointments when they are having furniture moved. Finally, I get frustrated and tell him, "let me Change my schedule and reschedule my drs appt so that you can get this done". He says, "SURE". I was livid. I hung up with him, rescheduled my appointment for 4pm so they can get this moved. I have a 1 bdrm 3rd floor with 3 guys moving. I leave ahead of them to meet at the storage unit. What should have been 15 minutes, took another 30. I called the office 2x's looking for them. Both times they said they were close and should be there in a moment. During my 2nd call I ask if I can give the unit details so they know where to go, Shawn says, "YES". He calls back about 5-10 minutes and says the guys have been waiting at the gate and can't get in! OMG! That is why I was trying to give you the details!!! Again, I have to leave because I am not missing my doctors appointment and it is now 3pm. The guys say it should only be 20 more minutes. I told them once they are done and turn my key into the office, I will pay the $792. I have now been hit up two times for a cash tip. Advised I don't carry cash and left for my appointment. On my way, I call Shawn and tell him what was going on, and once he confirmed everything was unloaded and my key turned in, I would pay the $792. He tells me that this isn't how things are done and people don't usually leave before the work is done. I advised I had already rescheduled my doctors appointment and I wasn't going to miss it again. He told me he needed the payment, I reiterated when it was all done I had no problem paying. He then threatened that he would have his guys put it all back on the truck and take it to the warehouse. I told him there was no need to be nasty and make threats. He said he wasn't making threats. At this point, I told him I was on my way to the doctor for heart test, I wasn't going to miss this appointment and I wanted to speak with someone over him. I finally speak with Vic, the regional VP. Told him what was going on and he said he would handle it.
