They moved a lot of little things into boxes for us that the previous movers we hired left on the floor, even though we had discussed our need to have them help with boxing. (I am disabled and elderly.) However, they charged an arm and a leg for about an hour's worth of work, approximately twice what we were expecting to pay. Immediately began arguing amongst themselves. One that was doing the paperwork did no moving for 2 - 3 hours as he just kept getting stuck on whatever software they use. Then he got in call to complain about one of the movers that was doing things. Truck was poorly packed, so furniture items like lamps, coffee table, and my wife's dress stand were damaged in transit. One employee was fired half way through the move. This was a shock and slowed the unloading. It took 7 - 8 hours to move a 3 bed 2 bath single floor apartment. We had 4 workers, that dropped to 3. It was a very hot day, so breaks were fully understandable and we provided drinks as well. But the move dragged to a crawl at times and that cost us hundreds of extra dollars. We got an insurance policy with All My Sons because we were worried they were damaging items. They did damage items. We filed our claim...and receive the cost of the policy back. I was highly disappointed with this service. Although the guys worked to get us loaded quickly the wrapped my dresser poorly and even dumped some of my clothes that they had to bring back. They just dropped them at my door step no call or message. Equally the original quote and the final price were $400 different. I was quoted that furniture would be wrapped. i asked if it would cost more she said no however on site they charged me for wrapping my couch and other furniture over $200. When I called and asked why the $657 quote became $1000 after explicitly told the booking agent I did not want it to be a different story on site. When I spoke to the dispatcher of course there were a thousand excuses none of which matched the movers explanations. They touched pieces two and three time unnecessarily and I started moving boxes myself because they just left thins in the hallway rather than moving it inside. Never again!!! Beware! Let's start off they were not kind at all ... one guy took 6 smoke breaks while on my dime and yet time wasn't stopped while he was smoking I moved and did most the moving then then yet still paid then600 for 4 hours and then gas's 164 when the move was building to building no gas's used. I was happy that they were following up. When I called back to speak with someone about the quote, I told them I needed to talk to my husband and that I would call back. I had an extremely disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage and would strongly caution others before using them. We paid extra for insurance coverage specifically to protect our belongings, yet our move resulted in significant damage to high-value furniture, including a bed valued at approximately $5,000 and a custom table worth around $500. The damage was completely avoidable and appeared to be caused by careless handling during the move. The crew itself was also a major issue. Although we were charged for a 3-person team, it effectively operated like a 1-person crew. One mover was brand new and spoke no English, another team member physically struggled to lift items, and the lack of communication between the crew caused constant delays, confusion, and wasted time. There was excessive standing around while one worker tried to direct the entire operation. The move took significantly longer than it should have because the team was unorganized and unprepared. What should have been a professional moving experience turned into an incredibly stressful and frustrating situation. We documented the damage, submitted receipts, and are now having to fight for fair reimbursement despite paying for additional coverage upfront. Took to long to get to my house they got there late I felt rushed so I won't be using them ever again

The two movers arrived early.. fortunately I was close by. The one mover said the first part would only take an hour and 15 minutes (it was simple move from a 10x15 storage unit to an apartment garage about 25 minutes away). He asked me what I wanted wrapped and I said only a nice dresser I have, and he advised wrapping materials would be an additional charge. I was fine with that, but then they started. The one mover took his time wrapping way more up than I wanted, while the other mover took my stuff from the unit to the truck, often only carrying one object. They really milked it. It ended up taking two hours (at around $180 per hour), and when they began to unload at the garage, he gave me the final price. I was initially quoted $500 to $600 on the phone, and the mover told me the final cost was going to be over $1200! This was because of the extra hour, the packing materials (which were $225!), the travel time for each leg of the trip, gas fee, and who knows what else (I don't, because they never sent me a final an itemized bill). I am not a happy customer, because I feel like they were dishonest with their original quote and overcharged me by $400-500. The final cost was $1045.00, after the lady agreed to "split the material charges with me". I would not recommend All My Sons if you are trying to save money. We hired originally a 2 person crew for $164 per hour for what we thought was a 2 hour job to dismantle a bed, wrap it and an armoire and a few bar stools up and then load these items along with approximately 30 boxes into a u- haul on a college move out. We added a 3 man at a cost of $60 per hour to have things go faster. When they arrived, our initial bill start around $400, by the time we went to sign and pay it was at $941.80. They were charging some $280 for tape, bubble wrap and misc misc. misc. truck supplies. when we said this was not our deal, they hated the job . We never really saw any work out of the lead guy, he was on the phone the whole time. They were supposed-to be shrink wrap all of the furniture to protect it but they never did. I was quoted 165 first hr and 15 min increments after. My job was a 2 to 2.5 hr job. What they dont tell you is they block out 4 hr time spot. Tye manager tries to up sell you a 3rd guy at 205 an hr. i declined the manager tood the moving team to take the entire 4 hrs. They used wrap to wrap drawers & 1 blanket to slide a dresser down the stairs which was 100.00 in supplies. The guys moved slowly introduce hired them for efficiency because I had to go to work. In the end my job should have been maybe 550-600.00, they charged me 1000.00. I got it down to 800, but the guys were going to go over the 4 hr mark anyways my kids started to move my stuff from the sidewalk to the apartment. They do not train their movers. I had a filing cabinet the movers tried to push the cabinet up the ramp instead of pulling it backwards. Loading the truck they were slow and unorganized. I would have loved to give a better review but we paid more than twice as what we expected. We called and got a quote over the phone. All the details of our move were explained to the woman who took our reservation. Two days prior to our move, a gentleman called to confirm and told us that he did not have " good notes" and we were then informed we would need another mover and more time as well as a 15% gas fee we weren't aware of, which increased our price. We weren't happy but at that point it was too late to try to find another company. We were able to negotiate dropping the gas fee as we were not told that originally. When it came time to pay, there were additional fees (ie supplies like tape and blankets) that were on the bill. Again, this was not disclosed when making the reservation though we asked. Now, we do have positive things to say. Our movers, Gideon and Fred, were AMAZING!! They asked questions, were careful, worked hard, and had great customer service. Honestly, those two were the highlight of our move. They did so much work for us and we can't thank them enough. We would hire those two to help me move any day!! My advice to anyone who is moving, ask lots of questions and ask for a quote in writing. read more

Please, please do not hire this company. We hired All My Sons to pack a trailer for our cross country move. They were not the ones completing the move itself. Because of that, they are denying the thousands of dollars of damage that was done to our furniture because of the poor packing job they did. Corners were not protected on furniture, just simple plastic wrap was used. One of our wooden dressers was split up the back and is unusable. Our outdoor fire pit table is all mangled and the whole fire pit center was destroyed. Several other pieces have very noticeable damage. We trusted this company with our stuff and they are completely indifferent about it. Frankly, it hurts that they don't care at all. When I called customer service, someone started yelling at me, saying I've already been told that my claim has been denied, that the person in charge of my claim already had this conversation with me. Interesting considering I had never spoken to him (even though I asked him to call me 3 weeks before that). I was really hoping we could reach a fair agreement, but they won't say anything but, "You signed a contract." Um yes, to have them properly pack a trailer, which they did not do. So now I have to get an attorney to fight this which is such a waste of everyone's time. I'm sure some people have had great experiences with this company, but please be warned, if anything goes wrong, it will be a very unpleasant experience trying to work with them. They have made it abundantly clear to me that they don't actually care about doing the job properly, and they have a nice easy way to deny any responsibility if they don't handle everything end to end. My final bill was almost DOUBLE what I was quoted -- nearly $1,550 instead of the expected $850 -- thanks to undisclosed fuel charges of $300 and a so-called "expedited" three-man crew that didn't actually expedite anything. It was an upcharge with zero justification. When I called the main office, I spoke with the General Manager, Tommy Clark, who was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he talked down to me, made condescending remarks, and basically said that unless I paid their inflated, bogus bill, they would hold my belongings hostage and dump them in storage -- at another charge! Bottom line is i needed 2 movers and a truck to quickly and efficiently move 12-15 pieces of furniture and 2 dozen boxes. I soon realized that regardless of my wishes, they insisted on wrapping worthless shelving and furniture taking 10 minutes per item. After 12 items I realized I was paying $169 an hour plus tape, plastic and bubble wrap at exorbitant amounts. So 2 hours at about $350 and hour for them to wrap. I called to say, "Hey, I have items that do not need to be wrapped" and was told everything on the truck must be wrapped. It's in the contract. I wanted movers, not wrappers. Just stupid. Talk about predatory pricing!! We had what we assumed to be a lost cost move, as it was down the street and only 1/5 of a moving truck. We contacted All My Sons, and were quoted as expected. Upon arrival of the movers we received the same $800-$1100 quote. Everything went great, until we were handed a bill, $1600+. There were multiple fees that were not disclosed, amounting to over $500. The job was done, so we paid. Fortunately for us there was only enough to pay the movers the agreed to total in the account we used, because the payment declined. I Called the bank to verify the funds were available to find out the person charging my card had added more fees, not mentioned or written during any part of the deal. Absolutely would not recommend this company for your move. We are moving out of a small ranch style house with a basement. All of our boxes were packed and stacked in a central location, and all of our furniture was disassembled and also moved into a central location before the movers arrived. We didn't even have them move our kitchen. We will do that ourselves. It took 6.5 hours JUST to load the truck. No, we do not have tons of stuff. We are very intentional about that. Then, after driving to the new house (just up the street) it took 2 hours to unload. The unloading time was reasonable, but I assume that was only because at that point I chose to stand and supervise them. I absolutely regret hiring this company. I am certain my siblings and I could have moved everything in just a few hours. By the end, I just started taking things from them as they took them off of the truck, just to speed things up. If I had been allowed, I would have gotten on the truck and unloaded it myself. I'm not sure what took such a long time. Perhaps it was the fact that they unnecessarily wrapped even padded furniture in blankets. Perhaps it was the fact that one of their "guys" was a tiny woman who couldn't help with carrying much. Or maybe they just needed to be supervised in order to move faster than a snail's pace. All I know is, this tiny move to a house up the street took a total of 8.5 hours. And of course they get paid by the hour PLUS $450 for "MATERIALS"??? So it cost almost $3,500 to move our tiny house to another house just up the street. We hired All My Sons Moving because we knew they were a national moving company that seemed to have good reviews. The experience my wife and I got however has left an extremely sour taste in our mouth and will result in us never using this moving company again. When we received our original quote we were told we would only need two movers for our 1 bed/1 bath apartment. Two days before our move we were contacted and told they would need to add a third mover (increasing our hourly cost by $30). This was explained necessary and told it would in fact save us money because our move would be faster. This was far from the truth. Instead, we had 3 guys making solo trips to and from their truck carrying one item at a time. It took movers an extra 20 minutes to get to our new apartment, and lastly finding them sitting in their moving truck to burn time to hit a full 8hrs. I say 8 hrs but of course they showed up after 8 am and left before 4pm. With a third guy this is a job that shouldn't have taken more than 5-6 hours. The cherry on top of all this is the ridiculous prices they present and charge for products. I was presented a receipt for $272 in packing products which I thought was high, only to be told it was actually $422! When I called to get some clarity on this i was sent a copy of a receipt but this time with more product so as to match the $422 I was charged, and they also somehow had my signature attached. The representative on the phone was not eager to remedy this situation and instead blamed it on their "computer system." EDITED: After posting my original review All My Sons moving did reach out to offer a small refund and apologize for the experience which is appreciated. I hate that a bad review is what it took for a little more accountability but nonetheless. I hired this company to move my things across the city. I was confirmed for time and day and said I would have a 5 hour window. However, they did not call me even once to let me know they were going to be late. I had to call them multiple times to get an idea of when they would be available. They kept giving me a different and later time than the last time I called them. They ended up being 3 hours later than the schedule window. I even asked them if they were even coming. They ended up moving my things and the guys I had were great and move went smoothly when they finally arrived. I wouldn't recommend them esp. since there are so many added fees that they add on after the fact. For example, management gets upset if you don't get charged for any supplies and they over estimate your finish time and then add on another 15mins for cleaning. Which they do at their shop so who knows if they even clean their truck there. Anyways just had a horrible experience. I am still waiting for the charges to clear, but I got charged both the deposit, which I haven't seen come out yet, as well as the whole cost to do the job. Pricing was way different than expected. Movers unaware of deals made by the person who reserved the move. They make it seem like you have an option to use ''their packing supplies'' then turn around and charge you $337. I had to get charges reversed and ask that my funiture not be warapped. They tried to take 20 minutes out of my time to explain and sign a contract on moving day! Contracts should be signed up front, then wrapping of funiture is the slowest process ever to waste time to bill for more money. DO NOT HIRE - Read the 1 star reviews and then decide. There were many issues with All My Sons Moving, the majority of which come back to a poor estimation of the job: Original estimate was $2,885.80 (9.25hrs) - Final charge was $5,085.30 (~13.5hrs). A difference of $2,199.50 There were not nearly enough materials brought to cover the pack. We provided 15 boxes, 10 totes, and 8 large bags. There were still 15 boxes of household goods that were not packed or moved (including the cabinets under the master sink). The packing crew marked directly on the lids of our personal totes with permanent marker, rather than using temporary labeling methods such as tape, resulting in permanent defacement of the totes. I see bubble wrap and garment boxes on my final bill, but there was no bubble wrap used and no garment boxes were used. Not using garment boxes led to compression (smashing) of all of our pressed cloths, which means they all need to go back out to be professionally pressed again. Significant damage to walls, doors and doorways that was avoidable. See pictures for more detail Damage to household goods, including a very expensive TOV dresser that had never been moved prior and was in perfect condition. Missing Pottery Barn Curtain rod. Assume this got left on the truck and was not seen in the dark, nor was it ever returned to us. At a cost of over $300, we provided lunch, dinner and energy drinks to the crew to try and save time as we knew things were running way behind schedule. The packing process appeared inefficient. Having been through multiple professional moves, the house could have been packed faster and with much better care at the same time. Only 1 of 3 beds was assembled at the new residence Future Improvements: Having been through multiple professional packs and moves, and having done many self moves, I can definitely provide feedback on suggested improvements. NEVER run out of materials needed for the pack. These are an easy add-on that equates to additional profit and flattened cardboard takes up very little space on the truck. Use garment boxes with a hanging rod. You billed for them, so use them. Clientele that can afford a professional move generally have nice clothing. The method of packing garments, specifically suits, dress shirts, and dresses, resulted in them being severely compressed and wrinkled, which was not consistent with a professional packing service. These garments will all need to be sent back out to be professionally pressed. The efficiency and expertise of the moving crew did not meet the standards experienced in previous professional moves, leading to extended service times and additional costs. 5 good movers could have completed this job in 9hrs instead of ~14. You pay more per hour for good movers, but the job is completed much faster, making the hourly investment worth it. This delay not only cost me an extra $2,200 with All My Sons, I also had to pay double the rate for the security guard at the receiving location because the arrival time and unload time were later and longer than planned (Extra $150). Finally, I paid extra for value insurance and had to submit a claim for a badly damaged dresser and a missing item. All My Sons Moving offered my less than 20% of the value of the items that were damaged or missing, so their insurance is a scam as well. I declined their offer and am submitting to an attorney. You'll find every 1-star review has the same boiler plate language, but never an actual resolution to the complaint. Your household items will NOT be cared for. We've now used this company three times, and for the second time, critical parts of our furniture have gone missing. Last year, it was the legs to our couch. This time, it's the feet to our desk--which still haven't been found. While we did receive reimbursement for the couch legs, it's extremely frustrating that this continues to happen. The desk is completely unusable without the feet, and if they aren't located soon, we expect appropriate compensation. We were also shocked by how expensive this move ended up being. Despite the short distance (about 90 minutes) and the fact that we moved a significant amount of furniture ourselves--including a king-size bed--this move cost nearly as much as our long-distance relocation from Steamboat to Berthoud. Sending five movers seemed excessive, especially considering how much we had already handled. While we've appreciated working with this team in the past, the repeated issues and unexpected costs have made us seriously question whether we'll continue using them going forward.
