This company and the owner should go back to learning how to run a business and how to work with customers. Don't fall for their advertising saying all occasion or any size. They should be named "All occasion ripoff" . Their pricing is over the roof. Then the attitude is to the sky. Then they have the nerve to pretend that they're doing you a favor. We wasted a lot of time talking to them until we realized the owner is jackass and not just Jack. Thankfully we had other companies who worked with us well and use them instead. We would not rent a tent from them , even if the sky is falling and the only way to get saved is to be under their tent. YIKES! I'm currently planning a baby shower and this company was the first to come up on my Google search. Upon visiting their website, they give the impression that their company caters to all ranges of event types and sizes. Not only do they have an event calculator that gives you tent measurements for parties as small as ten people, but they also have a quote on the main page that says... "We provide flawless setup and execution - every time. Whether you are planning a small, intimate gathering of family and friends, or a corporate motivational event serving thousands, you'll have the coverage you need - at a price you can afford." This is pretty straight forward, until you speak to them. The man who answered my phone call admitted that he didn't have much experience working for the company, as he only assisted the owner Jack annually, and he had only been working there recently for 5 days. Instead of assuring me that he would get the proper information for me about my inquiry (which was for a 20X20 canopy tent with tables and seating with the possibility of additional rentals) he dismissed my inquiry completely by telling me that our event was "too small for them to bother with" and that "they cater to events that make them $60,000+ and ours would not be worth their time." I could understand this logic if their web site didn't say they "provide for small intimate gatherings" at "prices you can afford". This is just completely false advertising. Not only was he completely demeaning, but he didn't get any information about my event before being so. He said "We won't have time for you during your event date or time". I responded with, "You haven't even asked me what our event date and time is." This left him with virtually no response. By the end of our conversation, I told him I would be taking to YELP and other review sites to share my awful experience with future customers. He told me the owner would have no desire to speak with me, which I said he might want to if he wanted me to have any chance of changing my mind about this review I am writing right now! Not only was he quite pretentious in his responses to me, but he was rather nasty about the fact that our event was a baby shower, which definitely rubbed me the wrong way regarding tact. Jack did call me back but was not much more redeeming. He was brash, rude, and condescending. He told me I should look into other companies because he refused to do anything that costs less than $1500. He said there are other companies locally that would work better prices for me. Again, this wouldn't bother me so much if his site didn't blatantly state that they would have the "Best value, GUARANTEED!" or that they would "Beat any competitors prices!" So, needless to say, I do not recommend this company to anyone who would like to service a small intimate gathering. Maybe he is much easier to work with when you have 400+ people attending your event and have $10,000 of disposable income for the gathering, but don't believe them when they tell you anything less is a specialty of theirs. read more

Warning-This is a tent rental company that comes up 1st when you google search tent rentals for events... The owner, "Jack" needs to work on his customer service, sales technique, and overall behavior/demeanor. We wanted a tent for a rain contingency. Having our wedding on a budget like many couples do, we can't pay for half our tent no matter what, upwards towards $1000 irregardless of cancellation. He pushed for this, and that closer in it would double in total price, (it really doesn't double at any other companies with shorter notice) and continued to push the sale. When I said that we couldn't afford it, he said to go somewhere else and literally hung up on me. Grossly unprofessional, and un provoked. We've used All Occasion Tents for years - when our family in CA was building a custom home, we rented a tent to cover the outside foundation of our home while it was being built. We have also rented out tents for our tech company in downtown San Francisco and the team was amazing from setup to tear down. Very professional. Check them out - they have done events for Netflix, Ghiradelli, Hallmark Movies, Disney - with that pedigree, they are very reliable and trustworthy. I have rented for my family, my company, and fundraisers, and have referred All Occasion Tents to several others. Never have we been anything but 100% satisfied and extremely delighted with the service & product. I have dealt directly with Jack & his staff several times now - they go above & beyond to provide amazing customer service. Jack takes time to listen, and he makes great suggestions (actually improved my plan). He is the most pleasant person to deal with. Extremely responsive. The quality you are going to receive is a beautiful tent that looks new. They take very good care of their products and they never look weathered or damaged (like some others I have rented from in the past). The review from Andy S. is bewildering, I think there must have been extenuating circumstances and I feel that if he didn't like the prices or policy, he should have gone elsewhere. No need for a 1-star review, I hate seeing that for such a wonderful man and company. If I had the option to put zero stars, I would. In short, I rented a tent for our backyard - close to $3000 for this last minute expense because of inclement weather - that Jack assured me was "a great price." I had few options so spent the money. The tent looked down on the sunny day it was put up in my backyard, though I don't know much about properly putting up a tent. When it started to rain a few days later, I realized that the tent was not put up in a way that would keep my guests dry. Rain came in, walls flapped open - so I stuffed my party guests into my house overlooking a $3000 empty tent outside flapping in the wind. My event planner tried to call Jack several times after the party, to no avail. She thought he was dodging her calls. When I spoke to Jack myself he emphatically denied this and proceeded to steamroll over every sentence coming out of my mouth. I don't think he let me get in one complete sentence in ...he was too busy yelling at me for informing him that his tent did not work in the bad weather and went unused. I tried to stay calm in light of the fact that Jack's demeanor was not at all professional in the least. But it was pretty horrifying being subjected to his verbal abuse when I was the one who was out $2700 and had no usable tent! (And FYI the only way to pay for his service is upfront cash or cashiers check, so no recourse available. What a surprise.) At some point our phone line was disconnected - unclear if he hung up on me or if it was a simply lost call - but when I called him back I got his voicemail. I left a vm that indicated how unprofessional he was and how deeply disappointed I was in the tent experience and in his abuse of me. I was pretty calm in my message but I was direct in how I felt about my dealing with him, especially since he was such a charmer on the phone when I first placed my tent order. If not for the fact that his WIFE then called me back and started yelling at me for upsetting her husband, I don't know if I would have actually gone to the trouble to write this Yelp review. But that's in fact what happened. I asked her why she was calling and reminded her that I was the one out $2700 not her. Then I put the phone down and just let her talk until the phone went silent. It was an all around awful experience. It was reassuring to see Andy's review because it mirrored my own perception of this business and frankly, the other reviews written after it read like they were written by friends and family. I'm just a mom who was trying to throw a family party. I think Jack (and wife) forgot that there was another human being on the other end of the line. Sorry. I called All Occasion Tents a couple months ago. Jack the owner answered right away. Told him what I was looking for, along with tables and chairs. He quoted me over the phone. I then did call a couple more places to compare, Jack was the best price and more personable. So, I called Jack back about a week later and of course he answered his phone right away, as any business owner should. We booked it and last weekend, Jack and his amazing crew came out and set up this enormous tent. Great guys, Jack is extremely easy to work with and I recommend this company to anyone looking for tent rentals. The tent looked brand new, clean. Our whole 250 people party was amazed.
