I have been going here for years and have been very happy. They treat my dogs well and they do a pretty good job grooming them. But I called Monday to make an appointment for today. I showed up for the appointment to find out they are under new ownership. The new owner introduced herself to me and wanted me to fill out a card and as she was handing me the card she told me they had to raise the prices a little bit. Well let me tell you...... it was not a little bit. They were charging $50 under the previous owners and now they wanted $70. I could not believe it. I said absolutely not. I took my dog and we left and I told her I won't be back. What got me even more annoyed is that they should have told me this when I was making the appointment. I would not have wasted my time going there today had i known. I have made a couple of calls today and one place in Palatine is charging $55 and my neighbor takes her dogs to another place near by and they charge $50. I have a little dog. A Maltese. This new owner is going to lose clients by raising prices so much and not letting people know BEFORE they show up for their appointment. Poor business decision in my opinion. read more

All Pets is NEW and very much IMPROVED!! I can't say enough good things about the new ownership. I have used Victoria as groomer for about 25 years now (and followed her to two other shops). I've driven a half hour or more and it's worth it!! I'm thrilled that she finally has her own shop and can run it her way... putting the pups' needs and their owners' needs first and foremost. She uses only the best products (shampoos, etc.) and takes the time to make sure that every pup feels beautiful and special. She pays attention!! Besides that, she is a phenomenal groomer and I've recommended her many times and only heard fantastic feedback regarding how fabulous she is at styling. So, this is a no nonsense Russian owned and operated business. Yes, this is something to consider in case you're looking for sweet talk tenderness. You don't get it here but.. 1. It's 2 minutes from my house. 2. I can come in any time and they will trim my dog's nails in 5 minutes. 3. They are very reasonably priced. So, if you'd rather pay double but have a heartwarming experience, this isn't the place for you or your pet! :) read more

We have worked with Victoria, the new owner, at previous grooming shops for several years and happily followed her to the new location! She's the best! Our shiba inu mix was a rescue and takes some time to build trust and warm up to people. Victoria has been patient with him and he is very comfortable in the shop. I trust that our pup is in experienced and loving hands when he is getting groomed. Every time he comes home, he is extra clean and adorable and smells great for days! I have three dogs and have been in search for a dog groomer as we recently moved here. We don't live too far from the place so I was excited when I thought I have found my new go to dog groomer. When I walked in the lady didn't even look at me or acknowledge me, she was busy attending to another dog, so I gave her the benefit of a doubt and said hi. We worked out the details and she was going to do his nails. This is where my 5 star rating is slowly losing its stars. She asked me to go inside and put him on the nail trimming table. He is a big boy so I again, shook that off and assisted. She then requested that I hold my dog. Now he has had his nails done before, he is 4 years old, and is very well behaved. He wasn't jumping or being nippy but okay. I hugged him and waited for her to finish. She didn't say a word, which is fine, we are not friends. When it was time to pay, she told me it was 10. I gave her 20 and asked her to break it. Here's where this gets great... she gave me ten, put ten into her register and five into her pocket. Wtf! I am not confrontational and to be honest, I have always been a generous tipper as I know that people are underpaid, especially during pandemic where small businesses have been affected the most; the fact that she just did that and oh... walked away... no thank you, no nothing.... I was shocked. Now some might say perhaps there was a language barrier... she spoke Russian... and did I. I tried to make a small conversation, yeah, talking to a stone cold wall. Perhaps she miss-understood?I asked her to "break the 20". I would have been okay with her pocketing 5 had she not had an RBF written all over her face including making me feel like I was inconveniencing her. I gave 2 stars because she did a decent job, but if you want to have control of your money, bring exact change and expect a stone cold experience - no hi, no bye just pay and keep on walking. read more

Do not, I repeat, do NOT go to this place, if you care about your puppy! THE OWNER OF THE SHOP hurt my dog, and he had to have SURGERY!!!! I was their customer for about 3 years...and they were doing an "okay" job...except the owner didn't speak much English..so she didn't quite get what I wanted. Last trip couple of years ago, I went to pick up my dog, and found a band-aid on his hind leg. The owner told me that she "nicked" him accidentally, and told me that she DC'd $20 off the grooming cost. I told her it wasn't necessary, and paid her the full cost, thinking it wasn't too serious. I mean, who would think it was, if there was a small, colorful band-aid on fur???? As soon as I laid my small pup in the passenger seat, he was licking his hind leg and shaking. Literally a minute later, he started to shake uncontrollably, when I saw the GUSH OF BLOOD, all over the cushion!!! I freaked out, took him to our vet few minutes away, and was told that the groomer cut half of his dewclaw, and just put a band-aid on to "hold the cut flesh and bone!" He went into emergency surgery to completely remove the half-hanging dewclaw, with lots of blood loss within that 10 minute window....and was in cast and cone for another 2 weeks...... I immediately called the groomer from the vet, and told her what happened. And the response???? She yelled at ME that his hair was too matted and that she wasn't responsible. She didn't apologize, and she said in her broken English "I told you $20 off!!" I went to All Pets while my puppy was still in surgery, and she CLOSED the shop an hour early to avoid me..... When I was at the Vets, and other patrons with their pets were all asking me questions, I told them what happened, and half of them KNEW how horrible that place is!!!! One older lady told me that she stopped going to them years ago...because HER DOG WAS HURT AS WELL!!!! Just thinking about my baby puppy in that pain...and the audacity of the owner to think that she can HARM an innocent animal and hide it.... My current groomer always gives me a "report card" after the grooming session...and says "He is a great puppy, so docile and gentle...He is very friendly but always stands still and enjoys his grooming. The only thing is, he doesn't like me grooming or even touching his legs." Can you imagine how traumatized he was....that this still affects him 2 years later??????? Shame on All Pets....I seriously think you should get out this business NOW!!!! read more

It's a bad place to go to have your pet groomed. A nightmare. The groomer is yelling at me and, said, ' why are you here, I did not call you to pick up your dog'. All I ask if my doggy is ready for pick up. If the groomer talks & treats people like that, what more if we leave our pets in their trust. How can we trust someone who doesn't even know how to respect you. I've been verbally abuse by the groomer. The groomer, I believe also the owner should not be in this business. No respect, bad behavior & cannot be trusted. I just took my doggy home even if his halfway groomed. I'm afraid, terrified on their behaviors. Very scary. I hope all my neighbors who has pets would think twice before you go to this place. Also, they only want you to pay cash with no receipt. Is this legal? read more

I called in the morning to see if the groomer was taking new clients and after about 5 minutes of her trying to understand what i was asking she said yes. I then made an appointment for 11am the same day. When i got to the groomers one of the groomers greeted me and did not ask me for any type of proof of vaccination or anything. When she asked me how i wanted him cut i asked her if she had a "display" of the different lengths... which is pretty standard for most groomers i have been to. She did not appear to understand what i was asking for and said "short, but not too short?". She then took my dog and put him in a cage. I asked how long he would have to be in the cage (as the 2 ladies were already grooming other dogs and there were 3 dogs in other cages already) before he got groomed because he is a recent rescue and i wanted to minimize any distress. She told me until 1 pm so i asked if i should just bring him back then.... again she did not appear to understand what i was asking and said ok we do him now....I then attempted to explain to her that he has a collapsing trachea which is pretty common in small dogs and that he cannot have anything around his neck that exerts pressure because it could collapse.... again she did not understand and i told her nothing around his neck and she said "we have to put it around neck" (normally they put it under their legs and groom them that way) . At that point i said thank you but no thank you and asked for my dog and left. I would not advise bringing your dog here unless yo speak "russian" or whatever they were speaking because they do not understand anything in english.... I strongly believe that If you are a business owner and interacting with people and their dogs you need to have a minimal working understanding of english in order to cater to your clients needs.... read more
