I received a call the day after Christmas, that my dog was howling in pain and couldn't get up. I asked if they could get him to a vet and they said no, I had to pick him up. When arrived they wanted to use ropes to lift him with due to so badly soiled. So we supplied our own blanket and carried him to car. He was in obvious pain, soiled, bleeding from mouth. He was immediately taken to animal hospital and advised had to be put down for fractured back and kidney issues. When asked for an explanation Randa immediately sent a refund saying upon my request, which was just for explanation. When followed up was told I can't sue because I signed a waiver, that it was my fault for boarding an older dog and not boarded before. I never made any accusations or asked for anything but an explanation. I'm so devastated I left my pet/family member in their care. read more

I spent 45 minutes on the phone listening to Matt expound on how great this service was. I listened while he shared his personal life issues and business issues. He shared about the demands his work places on him. We had little time to be concerned with the needs of me, the potential customer who would be paying for his services. I scheduled an appointment for him to meet my dogs. He never called and never showed up. He seems much more focused on "his world" and "his reality" than actually running a business. Definitely not a class act. He is not someone you should trust with your pets or your home. Clearly not a reliable honest person. read more

I watched the video of Sunny's (10lb mini dachshund) enrichment training teaching him how to heal and what i viewed in the video is a trainer who was frustrated yell at my dog and then partially picked him up only to push him harshly towards the back wall then pull his leash and make him cry. That is on a 10 second video I cannot even imagine what happens when the camera is not rolling. I can't believe that's how they would treat a 5 month old puppy. We will not be returning. This place *was* a 5 star place, not sure what has happened. Last year they assigned Erin to walk our dog. Imagine my surprise when a neighbor called me to tell me my dog was running around and someone was chasing him! Turns out Erin let go of his leash and he got away. Erin NEVER told me or the office this happened! She left a note that everything went great...Footage from the security cameras showed a very different story. After that "walk", our dog was very fearful to go on walks for a long time. Before the "Erin" incident....we had a walker named Liz....she was absolutely the best! She loved the dogs, was trustworthy and I was sad to learn learn she is no longer with the company, but best of luck to her. Fast forward to this week...we have a new dog and I want to make sure we don't have any 'Erin' issues and wanted to talk to Matt the owner. He was our original contact when we first set up service & I felt comfortable talking to him about my concerns about re-establishing service. Tried to call several times to speak to him but was cut off by Phalycia the "Executive Director" of TailChasers ... I'm sorry how does she have that title when she can't even handle basic customer service? It's a shame...Matt and Rhanda had a good business when their focus was On customer service, quality dog care and not made up job titles. ***in response to your reply: I'm glad you and your family were able to get away for a mid week camping trip. Although more expensive than other dog care locations, you definitely get qualify care for your pup. I get daily pics, and any command information my dog may have learned that day. My dog also comes home smelling as I dropped him off and simply exhausted (both mental and physical stimulation). Definitely well worth the cost if you can afford it. read more

I can't say enough good things about Tailchasers. When you're out of town and you know your baby is so well cared for, there's no better peace of mind. You'll get a daily report card, complete with photos and videos, which is just so sweet. It really does feel like your pet is staying with family/friends. Just wanted to update my review, for the past 2 weeks I have been off of work from having knee surgery. Randa has been so great with replying to emails when my husband gets off early so Eric does not have to come! This is SOOOO helpful and shows that they are avaliable to help the customer! Tailchasers is great. Matt came over to the house to help us decide on chosing him for watching our dogs. That alone is a big decision when you think of your dogs as family. He stayed for about an hour answering all of our questions and going through our routine with us. He and his company are very thorough and good at what they do. I felt I could trust him and his staff to come into our house without us being home. When they are done with the visit you get an email with all of the notes from the visit and sometimes you get pictures as well of the dogs playing. This allowed us to go out late on a weekend night. I have brought my great Pyrenees here in the past but this particular time I was VERY disappointed and VERY concerned. We had our baby stay at Tailchasers while we were on Vacation for a week. We decided to return home early because we missed our pup. We ended up picking him up a day early than originally planned. When we arrived our poor baby was CAKED in urine and was soaking wet. He was terrified. The urine was so incredibly awful that he had matts of urine on his forearms, elbows, underbelly and tail. Even his head smelled like urine. (As if he had been laying in puddles of urine all week). His fur- which is typically white was- pure yellow. IT was so bad that when we go home, my husband and I had to bathe him outside before he could even come inside. On top of that we had to have a mobile grooming company come and properly groom him because the urine was so matted (keep in mind our dog was groomed the day before he was dropped off and we went on vacation). In addition, they have you pay before seeing your animal. We made the mistake of giving a $140 tip to them. Once we saw our sweet boy- we were appalled and couldn't believe we tipped them at all. We've been having Tailchasers in our house to walk our cockapoo puppy since she was 12 weeks old. She is over 6 months now and it's the best decision we ever could have made. They have a thorough background check of all of their dog walkers. They are very reliable. It is faster to contact them with questions or scheduling changes by email rather than phone. They are about $20 per visit. At the end of each visit you get an email with what they did, a GPS tracking diagram of where they went and a detailed paragraph on the visit. It's really obvious from the walker's description how much she likes our puppy and enjoys the visits. She also has put in any concerns and cleans up any mess as best as possible. She even taught our puppy how to play catch! Our puppy is a happy puppy due to Tailchasers and that makes this dog momma happy too. read more

Cali & Kaner can be quite a handful, but Matt and Randa have an excellent system that allows you to to provide exact instructions for your pets' needs and to know exactly who is caring for your pets and when. We had to find a sitter for our cat fairly last minute, but the guys at tailchasers were able to come by for a visit, meet our dog and cat and go over what they do. Essentially they come in feed your pets, walk-play with your pets and check up on your house. All for a affordable price. And all their employees are background checked and screened so you don't feel un-easy about giving access to your home. This is a great option if you have pets who don't do well when boarded as they can relax and stay in the comfort of there own home. And you can schedule how many visits you want with varying time frames all from their website. We have used them only a few times but plan on continuing using the service. read more

I wish I'd wrote a review sooner because I am sure I'm forgetting good points to mention, but in a nutshell: I love Tailchasers. In late February/March, I went out of town on business for nearly 3 weeks. I contacted Tailchasers to look after my cat, Lennon, while I was away. They were very responsive and had someone out to visit Lennon and I the next day. I met with Matt who was friendly, informative, and really responsive. I told him everything I needed and he went back to the office and populated my profile on their site - that's it. I didn't have to do anything else! Jamie was the cat sitter looking after Lennon; she was great! She sent me text messages every day she visited Lennon, and even contacted me to let me know when my power went out for a few days. She was so good to Lennon, playing with him and giving him lots of love. She also left me notes of Lennon's day and time spent with her. I could really tell that Jamie cared about Lennon, not just as a client, but as a pet and a member of my family. Sadly, shortly after my trip, I moved to the city and out of the limits of Tailchasers. I highly recommend Tailchasers to everyone! read more

When my husband was going to be out of state for an extended three month period, and I work long hour daily, I needed a reliable service for walking my dog Jake in the afternoons. I was impressed immediately with the in home visit where they gathered all information about my pup - where his treats, food leashes, towels etc were located. I was also impressed with the flexibility that they offered - if I were to have a later than expected day, they could come for a second visit. While that doesn't happen often, knowing I have options gives me peace of mind. Another important thing to me was knowing that they are bonded. I found Tailchasers to be more than reliable - they are professional, friendly, and most importantly Jake, my pup is well cared for and happy. I love the daily report and the extra notes and presents I come home to see (for instance: "Jake went to the groomer I see - looks great!", or "gave Jake extra TLC and played today"). Jake received a stuffed toy for Christmas, and healthy cookies for a Halloween treat :-) The only improvements that I could see to their services would be offering customers (1)GPS tracked walks, (2) improvements to website scheduling services and (3) crate free boarding services. I highly recommend Tailchasers and I think if Jake could talk, he would too! read more

My wife and I recently went out of the area for a week. Based on reviews we contacted Tailchasers to discuss checking in on our cat. We set up a consultation with the owner and it went well so we decided to move forward. One of their staff, Kim, stopped by the house twice a day provided care, medication, food, play, and litter box cleaning. We also received emails each visit with photos and a summary of the visit. Tailchasers started out great when was my walker with my then 3 month old puppy. Around March they gave me a new dog walker and that's when I noticed a change. My daily emails weren't as detailed and the pictures I would receive of Cooper made him look like he was having a miserable time. Once summer hit Cooper became fearful and anxious with a lot of things outside. I would try to communicate with my walker on things I did to help Cooper but she chose not to listen but to listen to other co-workers instead. I heard from multiple neighbors that they would have to help the walker to even get Cooper outside. I would receive emails stating that Cooper was stubborn and not wanting to listening when they were the ones not listening to me and our needs. I was paying $19 a day for Cooper to only be let out in front of my building. They never walked him. I left Tailchasers and now have a new walker where Cooper is getting the walks and attention he deserves. With so many great reviews it's disappointing that we had such a negative experience. My advice to the owners and workers would be to listen to your customers about their needs and not blaming it on the dog. read more

I have had a great experience with Tailchasers so far. If you want to try them, purchase the Yelp deal. I did not do that! TJ is Boscoe's walker, and he comes at periodic intervals throughout the month when I have to work really long days or take short trips out of town. TJ leaves me great summaries about his adventures with Boscoe and I love reading about what they did during the visit. Boscoe just wants someone to pet him endlessly; and then go for a walk. TJ obliges. TJ brings in packages and has even brought in my garbage cans for me (!!!) which I really appreciate. Its those little extra touches that make all the difference when you have a service come into your house. The scheduling process has been really easy. Randa has been great when I email, particularly in the beginning when I was paranoid about the walker showing up. My previous walker I pre-paid and he just failed to show up for work and walked off with a month of wages. Like anything, there are pros and cons. They were great with my dog and cat, would respond last minute for a walk if I needed it, and have a great online check in and check out system so you always know when your pets are being cared for. Things I didn't care for included jacking rates from $17 to $25 per walk in just over a year, the fact that I never got to meet the person walking my dog, and when I initially called them it took three weeks to set up the first appointment. We used Tailchasers, Inc. starting in January 2012-March 2013. We used them for both pet-sitting as well as daily walks for our 15 year old Yorkshire Terrier. Over the last year and half, Tailchasers has taken care of our dog and two cats for 3 week long vacations as well as daily walks/wellness checks for our senior dog. They are the best, most professional, caring, and responsible pet sitters, we have ever used by far. Unfortunately, we are moving out of the area otherwise we would continue to use their services. We HIGHLY recommend Tailchasers! Their management team, online scheduling, dog walkers - are ALL EXCEPTIONAL! WE JUST LOVE THEM! We first used Tailchasers in January 2012. We had a family trip planned, but had recently discovered that our 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier, had heart disease. We were extremely nervous to leave him and considered canceling the trip. Fortunately, someone suggested we try Tailchasers. They came to our house and spent lots of time with us. We completed an extensive intake process and by the end of the afternoon I felt quite comfortable with them as did our dog. We went ahead with the trip and they sent me daily text messages letting me know our dog and two cats were fine. In the middle of the trip, there was a snowstorm, but they brought their shovels and still managed to visit/walk our dog four times a day. When we arrived home, everyone was healthy, happy, and relaxed. After the success of the trip, we hired Tailchasers for daily walks. Because of our dog's age and health conditions, he doesn't walk very far. For me, these visits were more like wellness checks and really put my mind at ease, knowing someone was there to check on him during the day. Dave, our regular walker really seemed to love our dog and always left us notes on the visit. All Tailchasers staff are certified in first aid which also really eased my mind. In September 2012, we put our house on the market. Tailchasers staff were so helpful during this process - they really went above and beyond the call of duty. Dave would often schedule walks around showings - sometimes even cleaning up messes before the potential buyers arrived. Allison is amazing! She is great with my 3 dogs. One of them has pulmonary hypertension, so we're constantly monitoring her and adjusting her medications. Allison advises me when she notices any changes in exercise tolerance or behavior, and always takes great care to ensure she's comfortable. She also balances this with the other two dogs, and makes sure they don't get a shorter walk or less attention. I get billed on time, always correctly, and appreciate the flexibility that Tailchasers offers when I have unexpected work travel or evening commitments, and need a dinner feeding/walk. After moving to the area, I researched a number of doggy day cares and dog walking services. After contacting and receiving a visit from Tail Chasers, I had no doubt this was the company for me. They were prompt with responses, professional, and accommodating. I have been using their services 3 times a week for the past 6 months. Their QR check in and out system allows me to know when my dog walker has arrived and departed. Having cameras at home, I was a bit skeptical at first, so I'd check often during the visit. Erin, my dog walker was nothing less than patient, caring, and loving. She cleans up the crates as needed, feeds, walks, and plays with the pups during every visit. After watching her a few times and having been home here and there during her visits, I have no doubt the pups love her. They are super excited to see Erin EVERY time.
