They boast about a triage system so that there would be always be a vet available if your particular vet was busy or away from the office, but that triage system was non-existent (unless there was a high-priced test, of course.) Their medications are ALWAYS higher-priced than any other vet, Their medications, tests, visits, x-rays, ultrasound (LOW quality), etc. are higher priced than other vets and their medications are most double what you pay online. When I said this to them, they glomped on to online vs. local, and how much more they have to pay for medication than online services. Okay, but double the price? And why are other vets' prices yes, higher than online, but so much lower than RVC&SC's? This was undoubtedly the most expensive vet we've ever been to and the absolutely worst service we've ever had. We were new to to this area, and we chose this vet based on a phone call and a visit. They talk a good talk, but that's as far as it goes. The worst thing of all: our dog suffered through a sickness while they played around with this test and that test, this med and that med. Although they were nice enough, but It was all about the money, how much could they get from us. "It could be this, so let's do this test. And let's rule out this, so let's do this test." They say they offer urgent care, but that just means they'll take you in right away so they can bilk you out of $$ for tests, then they leave you hanging. Are we bitter? Yes. Our dog deserved better. We were new to to this area, and we chose this vet based on a phone call and a visit. We waited too long to make the move because our dog was sick and we had invested too much faith as well as $$ in this place, and our dog suffered for it. Finally, we called it a loss and found another vet and got the immediate care our dog deserved. This was our experience, but since then, when we've mentioned our experience to others, we've heard all kinds of other stories that included surgery. I won't go in to them here because they weren't our experiences and we can't validate them. I would recommend due diligence and awareness if you choose this vet.

Their office is clean and bright with lots of orchids and a palm tree in the reception area. Very pleasant. What they charge for their services are quite reasonable. My father was a veterinarian and my mother still owns the animal hospital in the area where I grew up. I worked there when I was in high school. Center Rutland is well run and spotless (even considering the daily four-legged traffic ). I highly recommend them.

Based on the way they were drinking water from the hose, I don't think they had access to fresh water. All three were intensely thirsty and starving. It was really bad. Two of the dogs are on special diets. We brought their special food and labeled it. Clearly, they weren't fed the food b/c they had diarrhea. Not to be gross but based on the color it wasn't their special food. It was the kibble she feeds all the dogs. I can't imagine that this place is compliant with state regulations for care of animals. I can't imagine sending animals home hungry, thirsty, and covered in urine and feces is within state guidelines. I feel like I paid to have my animals mistreated. :-(

TLDR: Dirty, disorganized, poor customer service, possibly neglectful…read more I took my 6 month old puppy here for her first doggy daycare experience, as we live in an isolated area and she needs socialization. I explained this both on the phone and at drop-off, also noting that she starts off fearful, then warms quickly to other dogs. I was a little bit worried when I dropped her off, because frankly, the facilities were a mess--stinky, visibly dirty (even in the office), and piled with disorganized clutter. The staff I interacted with seemed to be teenagers with no customer service training. When I picked up my dog at the end of the day and asked how she did with playtime, they told me she seemed fearful and so they just kept her in the kennel all day--no playtime, which was what I told them I was paying for. The pickup was disorganized and my dog came out visibly distressed, shaking, with her tail all chewed up. I asked about it, and they said her tail was probably just wet from spraying down the kennel. Spraying down the kennel? With her inside of it? Or, did they put her alone in a wet concrete room in January? Either way, not okay. She never barks at people (only other dogs), but was incessantly barking at one of the attendants, who repeatedly told her to "just stop it". As I paid (?!) and hurried her out to the car to calm down, they forgot to give me back her food, scoop, and medical paperwork. I remembered the food and went back inside for it. All night she was anxious, pooping and peeing 3x as much as normal, and trying to chew her tail (not something she usually does). She stank like urine, feces, and chemicals. Three days later (this morning), they called to tell me to come get her paperwork. I am angry. I have been unable to find any contact information for a REAL ADULT behind this business that doesn't route me to the untrained, very young person at the front desk. If the owner/manager is reading this, I would like a call, and I would like a refund, and you can expect more of these reviews on other platforms. Take a look at the BBB page and you will find another review reflective of the experience I had. A local business owner who is active in animal rescues implored me to leave this review and pursue the matter further, so here we are. Do not trust this business with your dogs.

She made the process so simple and truly provided such an enriching and loving long weekend for our dog, complete with many hikes, walks, and swims. She kept us updated all weekend with photos of him, and brought him for our wedding portraits. He was so calm and relaxed, freshly shampoo'd and ready to go! We are so forever grateful to Debby for taking such amazing care of him. It was the best feeling being away from him and knowing he was in such capable and kind hands.
