He removed the original tension setting entirely to create a blank canvas, then molded and recreated a brand-new tension setting from scratch specifically designed for my new stone. He managed to do this while keeping the rest of my original ring exactly the same. The result is so seamless that it doesn't look like a modification; it looks like the ring was originally designed this way from day one. Because my ring is over 20 years old with numerous side diamonds, Ben performed a full inspection and caught several issues I hadn't noticed. He secured loose stones and corrected a faulty previous repair, fine-tuning the piece until it was objectively a brand-new ring. Ben was also a great partner in sourcing my diamond. As a result, I made a couple of trips here. The staff were always super nice and professional. And each trip, I had fun looking at all of the current models of Movados (and other brands of watches). The contemporary Movado watches are pretty cool. And the Helzberg prices all seem to be fair and in-line with what I'd expect. I had one minor glitch. It was supposed to take one week for battery replacement but it ended up being four weeks. But they gave me a call to let me know. And actually, I suspected this might happen. I happened to know that Movado watches have a unique design where standard case closer tools don't work on them. So they usually need to be mailed off to a specialist in another state.
