Kay Jewelers - This is now the third time getting the ring back wrong and altered

Sad to say I'm here again writing another review, but unfortunately nothing has changed. I…read morecurrently have four rings from Kay Jewelers, and every single one has had issues. Two of them are brand new, and within less than a month of purchase, a diamond had already fallen out. The engagement ring my fiancé bought me has been an ongoing nightmare. We received it back once with a mismatched diamond. After finally getting that corrected Now, the same diamond that was supposedly repaired has fallen out again -- in less than a month. I also recently got my V-shaped ring back from repair, and within just a few days of picking it up, another diamond fell out of that one too. I just want to be able to wear my rings and enjoy them and not feel like I have to constantly check my hand to make sure something didn't break or go wrong. I work at a desk all day. What is going on with the quality of these rings? What's the point of owning them when they spend more time being repaired than being worn? It's beyond disappointing -- it's frustrating and exhausting. On our last visit, we were told we're basically "celebrities" because we're known for our reviews and complaints. That alone should say something. At this point, only the regional manager will deal with us. While he has been polite and I appreciate his attitude, it doesn't fix the underlying issue -- the quality and service are simply not acceptable. At this point, I would rather have my money back and take my business elsewhere. Extremely disappointed.

1-Star Review My experience with Kay Jewelers has been…read moreextremely disappointing and stressful. My parents bought me a Le Vian ring a little over two years ago, and I absolutely loved it. I was even able to pick it out myself. Unfortunately, the ring began to crack in the upper band area. Since the ring was under my parents' account and had a full warranty, my mom dropped it off for repair. Because it's a Le Vian ring, it had to be sent out for repair, which took about a month. When I finally got the ring back, I was excited--until I realized they did not fix the crack at all. Instead, the band looked smashed, and that was all they had done. I returned to the store, and the associate apologized and explained that when a ring is sent out, it is supposed to be repaired to look brand new. This time, she took photos and added notes clearly stating the crack needed to be fixed. Once again, the ring was sent out for another month. While this was happening, my boyfriend surprised me with another Le Vian ring from the same store. Less than a month later, a diamond fell out of that ring, so I had to return yet again. When I went in to drop off the second ring, my original ring had finally come back after nearly two months. The crack was fixed--but they altered the bottom of the ring without my consent, which I never asked for. I was extremely upset. Another associate spoke with the male manager, who told me my only options were: Send it out again with no guarantee it could be fixed, or Trade it in--but only if I purchased a ring double the original price. I left the store in tears and told them my father, who purchased the ring, would need to be involved. A few days later, my father and I returned and spoke with a kind associate who immediately suggested replacing the ring entirely with the same one. I felt relieved--until the same male manager stepped in, asked us to repeat the entire story (even though they had photos and notes), and then told us that the materials THEY added during repair voided any trade-in option--which directly contradicted what we were previously told. Once again, we were told our only option was to send it out for repair again or contact customer care and "see what happens." This was the second time I left the store in tears. It is unacceptable to alter someone's ring without consent, fail to fix the original issue, and then provide constantly changing and unfair "solutions." We were also looking at engagement rings, but we will absolutely not be returning. The only positive part of this experience was the two kind blonde associates who genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, the male manager was rude, dismissive, and inconsistent every time I dealt with him. I am still waiting for my second ring to come back from repair. My parents and my boyfriend will no longer do business with Kay Jewelers. This has been a horrible experience, and I would not recommend this location to anyone.
