On April 6, 2017, I underwent shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff and tendon. I was told by my dr. to report to BioMotion on April 17 and Dr. Derek Sanchez would start me on my therapy. The first thing I noticed when I entered BioMotion, high on the back wall, was the word HEALING in big letters. I was greeted by one of the assistants, then she promptly took me to begin this challenge. Dr. Derek Sanchez introduced himself to me as "Derek" and explained the steps I would be taking along the way, including letting me know it could take several months to complete. My anxiety was high because of the pain involved with shoulder surgery and recovery. I came to therapy three times a week and it didn't take long to realize how dedicated and knowledgeable Derek and his staff were. Derek said shoulder therapy needs to start early to keep the shoulder mobile and to avoid shoulder lock up. I could see myself advancing every week, so I looked forward to going to therapy. After 11 weeks, I was released from therapy. I cannot say enough good things about Derek and his staff: Shawna, Kylee, Amy, Tara and Maria. They are very gifted and caring people. They were so happy I made it so quickly. I want to thank Derek and his staff for guiding me and helping me. I had been in excruciating pain for over a month. I went to the ER and later to my private doctor only to be treated with pain meds, which did nothing for the cause of the pain. My doctor finally referred me for physical therapy. I went to BioMotion and was seen by Dr. Derek Sanchez. I knew I was in great hands almost immediately! He is so knowledgeable and took a lot of time giving me a thorough assessment. After the first treatment I was already feeling some relief. Lol... I literally called him a "miracle worker"! I've been to other physical therapy before and Schertz- Cibolo Physical Therapy was by far the best experience I've ever had with a physical therapy office. They have raised the standard to heal and take care of the customer beyond any physical therapist office in the area. They have helped me recover faster and stronger than expected! The Best! I have had knee pain for about 20 years and have seen other therapist with little to no help. My physician sent me to this clinic and told me they were an excellent place for physical therapy. He was exactly right! The therapists taught me what was causing my knee problems and then worked with me constantly to fix it. I am now back to biking and hiking with out any knee pain. These guys are awesome! Very professional, very personable, excellent customer service, everything was excellent! This is the place to go to get physical therapy no matter where you live. Not only is this a well-managed, incredibly friendly place, but all of the people are dedicated to helping you heal. Their approach is whole body, not just where you hurt. I went from having daily migraines to only one ot two a month! This is huge in my book. The Christian atmosphere provides a peaceful, encouraging treatment. You must put in the effort and follow not only their instructions, but those of your treating provider. Do the work, keep them informed of how you're doing, and you'll get great results! When I first started seeing Derek and his amazing team, I was in constant nonstop pain. The first time I saw him I a little afraid and unsure of what would happen and how things would feel. He was very understanding and amazingly gave me my first bit of relief in a month. I've been seeing these amazing people now for many months and the change in me and the pain is more than I could have hoped for. Went to see Derek and his staff for my knee injury I had sustained from playing football and the staff was excellent and very knowledgable! They provided me with great information, as well as exercises for the off season, and I was able to return back to playing the next season. I would not have been able to do it without them! I have had two back surgeries, and had neuropathy in my legs and feet. I also have had a problem with stability and balance from time to time. I "graduated" today after several weeks of therapy. This is an excellent facility for PT. Dr Sanchez is very knowledgeable and has a great staff. He worked on my husband knee after a full knee replacement and had him riding his motorcycle in 6 weeks.
