Great service! I must preface this review with the fact that I didn't purchase their high quality firewood. Having been tired of crappy wood from craigslist I decided to get something better. However upon arriving at their yard and looking at their "bonfire" wood I decided it was good enough. So with the lower price I ordered two cords instead of just one. These people treated us very well and are made a very informed decision. As a massive bonus you also get kindling included, as much as you want. If you run out, you can go back and get more even. When the wood was delivered, holy cow it was a lot. More than two cords even. It was a mix of hard and soft woods of all kinds of shapes and sizes. I used my cheap wood moisture tester to test the wood and got readings from 13% to 30%. Mind you this is their cheap stuff, not the regular high quality hardwood that is all cut into perfect pieces for today's modern small stoves. There was so much wood however, it took me all day to put it away. I piled it about 10 feet high onto 4 pallets, loaded up inside my house as much as I could, and filled up a huge wheelbarrow and still could not find room for all of it. Their delivery cost was on the high side, however their price per cord was lower making them competitive with the other places I called. read more

With the places in Marin either closed or charging exorbitant fees (or non-responsive to inquiries), thought I'd give this place a try. The problem? My schedule meant I'd get there minutes before closing time. Seconds, actually. But Glenn agreed to help me with a small load. When I arrived, his team was punching timecards to end their day. They still helped give me a full truck load of wood, and about 5-7 mins after my arrival, I was fully loaded and back on the road. I have had the best winter in Forestville this year because the quality of the firewood I purchased from Glenn Kantock, the Owner of All Seasons Firewood was beyond great! I haven't had to turn on the heat even once yet! What a huge difference this high quality Almond wood from All Seasons has made in my fireplace insert! I realize now what horrible wood I have had in the past. With the Almond from All Seasons, I barely need kindling to get it started, and they also cut it shorter for me, so it is just the right size for my smaller fireplace insert, which also makes getting it started so easy! I ordered a full cord and the quality is so stellar that I will likely have some leftover from this season. I paid a fair price for delivery of the wood to my home (a must for me!), and then with help from All Seasons, I was able to arrange for a very kind man named Alex to stack it for me that very same day. Even the stacking by Alex was perfect - he gave me two very tidy stacks in two different areas underneath my house to ensure proper air flow and the wood was stacked at the perfect height for me to enable me to get it into my home more easily. I'll add another one to the woodpile after having gone there to see for myself: how to find dry firewood in the middle of our generally wet cold winter. This adventure began when I ran out of firewood before T'giving and had to rely on pge to keep the place warm for more than a month. The bill arrived, $400! just for me to rattle around this, admittedly larger than needed, house. And even then, that's only when I'm in town. So when I noticed Mary had bought from Glen at All Seasons I asked her whatup, and her very positive personal endorsement was all I needed to head north to SR. I figured if the wood was dry this time of year, driving 60 miles isn't to worry about. What is to worry about is whether or not the stuff is actually "seasoned", ie will it burn. So it was that I came to meet Glen, a really interesting guy btw. We had a bit of time to discuss businesses that are based on agricultural byproducts, which is the basis of what he supplies during winter months. This time of year there's no more oak to be had, but at the same time it's when fruit and nut trees have been taken down, to be replaced usually because the tree is past its prime for growing almonds or walnuts or whatever. I'll say this about Glen, he's genuinely serious about keeping customers as happy as possible, given that unforeseen circumstances do occur as with any business. But you can tell what his intentions are, for one he returns phone calls within a couple of hours at most, and sees for himself that his product is in fact what he says it is. I helped load the wood so I saw what was in the middle of the pile, and it all seemed dry. But the truth is what happens when you try to burn it. Results: absolutely ready to use; so far each fire has only needed one match to get it going. A1 in my book. read more

When Mugnaini in town was out of wood and recommended All Seasons, we figured they must be good. Turns out that All Seasons supplies wood to many of the local restaurants with pizza ovens: I heard Diavola and Campo Fina and was sold. Owner Glen and his office manager were very responsive and informative, and we opted to do as Diavola does, ordering only almond wood for our pizza oven. I chose to pick up our wood to save on the $60 delivery fee and our car was covered in dust and wood chips. Lesson learned: spend the money and have them deliver! read more

Glenn is the real deal here at All Seasons Firewood. He's local, small business, customer focused, and 100% committed to customer service. He's the kind of business owner I'd feel I'd be, and that I love to frequent. He puts relationship first! Oh, and he's also part magician. When we had that big cold snap a few months ago, he still delivered a 1/2 cord of seasoned walnut and oak, my favorite hard woods to burn. I am not sure who can afford PGE these days with the rates they charge. I use Glenn's firewood to heat my home. After a few hours of a blazing fire, my home goes from 55 degrees to 68, by the fire alone!!! I have tried other wood suppliers in the past and not only do you get what you pay for, but with Glenn and ASF, you know your money is going to a local business that supports our local economy and community. Long review but all of it is 100% relevant. I asked a few people for a "firewood guy". All Seasons had a few good things said about them, so I contacted them. The initial phone call was very pleasant. We talked for a while and the owner seemed nice. After that, it was one problem after another. The owner said he would let me know delivery date options. A week or so went by and never heard a thing. I followed up but never heard back. One random day, I hear a knock on the door. I had no idea who it was. The guy said he was here to deliver the firewood. No discussion of a time, not even a day of the week or a date. Not even confirmation of what WEEK. What if nobody was home? First, I was charged literally DOUBLE what I recall being discussed. Someone else quoted me a significantly lower price. I wrote everything down regarding pricing. I'm certainly not perfect; perhaps I misunderstood or misheard so I paid it since it was possible it was my mistake (although I was 98% sure I wrote down correct prices). I had told the owner I needed to have the wood delivered AND stacked due to medical issues. It was a rather long conversation. The gentleman delivering it said he was solo and would have had a second guy if they were told it needed to be stacked. I don't just discuss medical issues with someone I don't know unless there was a good reason. I am 100% sure about the wood needing to be stacked and them dropping the ball. Next, the wood wasn't even dry. At MOST, 10% MAYBE was somewhat usable. In order to use the rest, I had to buy other firewood, Duraflames and countless fire starting aids to get the fire hot enough to get the wet wood to burn to the tune of hundreds of dollars. The wood was way too heavy for the size of each piece= clearly still wet. It would HISS when it was trying to light. Pieces of wood would smolder for nearly two days AFTER having a fire. The house would reek of smoke. Small crackles from the firewood could be heard for a day and a half after the fire was supposed to be out. I thought I was imagining the crackle noises until a couple friends said they thought they heard it without me saying a thing. Waking up with burning eyes and a burning airway is not pleasant. I sent the owner numerous videos of everything I mentioned above. Wood would explode out of the fireplace because it was wet. There would be jets of blue colored flame jetting out of wood for 3-4 inches, completely parallel to the floor. The owner graciously offered to make things right and ultimately said he would replace most of it. It took over 2 MONTHS to pin him down after numerous excuses on his part. It shouldn't take 2 months of excuses to get something scheduled. While the idea of replacing defective goods is a good and proper business practice, stringing along a customer for months after saying it would be dealt with is not okay in any way. Glenn finally agreed to a date and time despite being dismissive in setting and honoring a date and time. When he finally committed to a time and date, he was an hour and half late. He was aware I had to pay someone to help stack the wood since I physically cannot and he refused to have his people do it. I realize things come up and delays happen but at least acknowledge if you just kept someone waiting who is on the clock, at least say something. There were two people in the truck they could have stacked it if they chose to. Given them being 90 minutes late (for which they never apologized), I had to be on a phone call when they arrived since I figured they would have been there on-time and already gone. According to the guy I had to hire to stack it since they refused to, Glenn's very first words after exiting the truck were "We're not stacking this." He didn't say, "Hi" or "I'm from All-Seasons" or "I'm Glenn"... nothing cordial. Just the opposite direction. Wet wood AGAIN!!! The gentleman I had to pay to stack the wood since Glenn and his people refused to, commented the wood was wet before I even picked it up. It sure was. When two pieces of properly seasoned firewood are knocked together, they should sound almost hollow. Knock these together and it's clearly wet wood. The wood was also too heavy for its size. Get a box of firewood from Tractor Supply, Safeway or a hardware store. Compare them to this firewood. It not nearly the same. The store-bought Firewood is actually 100% usable. That's why I had to spend an additional multiple hundreds of dollars just to use the wood from All Season Firewood. While the owner and person booking business is nice to chat with, what was mentioned b dote, it is greatly lacking when told what to expect. read more

We drive up from San Bruno once a year to get firewood. We always have a great experience. This particular day our truck broke down so we had to borrow a friends. We were in a time crunch to get back. We showed up, they loaded the wood for us in no time, and we were off. Glen the owner has wonderful customer service.
