They should stick to just laying sod and not taking on jobs they know nothing about. We're having to hire another Company as I tried to communicate with the Owner but he was extremely argumentative. We're hiring somebody else who specializes in millings/asphalt who will have to re-do all of the work we paid for, and we will be sending Local Sod the bill. Also, we paid for 3 sickly pallets of grass of which they laid and it died. The Owner knows we took great care of it, but it was just bad grass. We shall hire somebody else to take up this mess, lay new grass, and send Local Sod that bill as well. I shouldn't of accepted that grass when it was delivered but that's on me.

My 82 year old mom quite frankly did not understand why the company installed a 3 zone system on a 4 zone irrigation sprinkler system already in the ground. Not surprisingly, an entire sprinkler zone was not working. The owner Jake returned the phone call and immediately started yelling, and screaming like an unhinged lunatic. Instead of trying to understand what information I was asking for he started screaming and using foul language. It was a rather frightening experience on the telephone, and Jake the owner seemed to lack any control over his anger. I've read some of the glowing recommendations from other people and it makes me wonder if maybe he's normal when everything goes his way but when confronted with potential problems who knows what this explosive guy is capable of.

He was extremely professional and apologetic, confirmed that the driver involved was immediately terminated, and assured me he would be reminding all staff of the importance of safe driving -- especially when operating a truck with a trailer, which requires longer stopping distances. These are marks of good leadership and accountability, and it speaks volumes about how this company is run. Good small businesses like this are the bedrock of a good community, and I appreciate how seriously they took the matter. Original Review: Earlier this morning around 8:45 AM, I experienced a dangerous encounter with a Quik Care Services vehicle. As I slowed to about 25 mph to turn into my neighborhood, their driver tailgated me, crossed the double yellow line, and honked aggressively. Fortunately, my Tesla's cameras captured the entire incident. While that behavior was unacceptable, the owner's immediate and thoughtful response completely changed my view of the company. I had Matt B (Nephew of Jim - Owner) at my home yesterday to service our 8 zone system as our Rain Bird System had an error code. He came out assessed we had a dead solenoid, as well as some heads that required service, and a necessary new pipe and irrigation installation. His initial estimate was on the high end but he later explained to me that it was secondary to potential increase in time (charge by hour), should they encounter tree roots, etc. Made sense to me. The eventual price was quite competitive. I had already written a check for the high end estimate, and gave it to him. When he finished the job, he actually handed it back to me telling me the bill would be ~ $100 less! He could have totally kept the extra money and I would not have known differently. Talk about fairness and honesty! To say we are thrilled with this company is an understatement. Thank you Agape!
