My home is a rental property and Dave remembered me from the previous work he did. He really looked after my interests and sent me photos from the initial walk, right through the day of work. Dave came out within about 2 hours of my first phone call on Monday, sent me pics of all everything I needed done. I needed the Pine removed, and my other trees trimmed as the limbs were all growing onto the roof. I received photos along the way, the team is professional, they use professional equipment, and sent me the document I needed for the HOA to take the tree down as an emergency. As they have arborist's on staff the letter is acceptable to the state for the emergency removal requirements. Dave and his crew are really great, really friendly! Office is great as well.

Salesman quotes low and leaves written quote with potential buyer. 2. Crew shows up to do job and totally populate client's property with all their equipment and personnel who start to look at client. 3. Company rep saunters over, shakes head, and says "shazam shazam," he cannot do the job for what was quoted. "Gosh but the work is so highly technical." 4. Instead of let's say elevating two trees completely, he says he can trim back two branches of one tree for the amount quoted. This is about 20% of the original agreed to quoted work scope. 5. Customer is pressured into accepting the reduced work for quoted price or else sending crew away and nothing being done. 6. Of course immediate payment is required before job is performed (and payment is processed before crew leaves site) or the off fall will not be carted away. Caveat Emptor

Out of the 4 requests on Yelp, 1 contacted me immediately, two contacted me the next day, and one never did. One of the Yelp that contacted me the next day never bothered to show up for our appointment, nor did he contact me that day. The three google companies, one contacted me back immediately, one in a couple of days but were booking work many weeks out, and one never did even though 2 separate requests were made about a week apart. Please please please do your research when contacting a tree service and do not put up with a company who ignores communication. Also, make sure they are licensed & insured. Anyway - back to CTE. I got the number from a friend who used them a couple years ago. Tommy called me back the same day, gave me options of when he could come out in the very near future. He sent me the contract and proof of insurance through email when he said he would. He did the work when he said he would. Him and his employee showed up not just on time, but early on both days they did work for us. ***Side note: Our job was a very, very large one. We had 1 oak tree in the front, and 2 in the back removed, as well as 4 additional oak trees trimmed.*** Tommy's prices beat competitors by a landslide, and he had equipment to get in our small back yard that others did not. Tommy and his employee were very friendly, and checked frequently with my husband and myself to make sure the work they were doing was acceptable for us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I now feel much better going in to the upcoming hurricane season knowing we have done our best to maintain these trees.
