Update: The office called me to explain the situation, offered to rectify the issues that were caused by the move, and meet with the crew to use this as a teachable moment for the future. Review score updated accordingly. I hate to do a bad review, and never really do, especially because I used this company back in 2021 to move previously and I only wanted to hire movers because I have health issues and chronic pain. The whole day did not go well and not worth what I paid. I was called at 10:17 am telling me that a crew was available early and was coming within 30-40 minutes. Queue me calling at 12:58 pm because no call/no show they say they on their way. They finally show up at 1:33 pm after I called the office and they called the crew. The move then proceeded to take from 1:33ish until 8:15 pm. The first half of the move was going okay for a while until I heard them throwing some of the bags and boxes down the stairs. They took apart some of the pieces of furniture, but just left pieces of them back at the apartment. Around 3:30 pm I heard who I believed to be the lead mover say, "I fucking hate this move, her stuff is disgusting shit." And then he proceeded to sit in the truck for about 20ish minutes on the phone while the other mover tried to finish the move, but couldn't because he needed help. I ended up moving all of the lawn furniture that I have out of the lawn, over the fence, and next to the truck so the one mover could actually get it on the truck. When the lead mover finally started working they didn't finish the truck until 4:30 pm. I was then told that they needed to take lunch since they didn't do it before coming, which I get, but they didn't get to the house until 6 pm (which I was charged for the hour in traffic, not the lunch, last time I used the company, I was not charged for transit time between locations even when they took a lunch) but they didn't let me know that they were on their way, I had to call the office again. The unload took 2.5 hrs, and overtime started at 7 pm. They ruined the one room in the whole house with carpet by not putting anything down when moving items into the room. Now, the next day I am finding pieces that broken, furniture and things that were packed with Styrofoam peanuts within boxes. I also did not have them move my plants, but they trashed three of them, nowhere near the door as they moved things out of the house, ripped off stems and branches, unripen fruit ripped off the plant and trod on. I am just so frustrated because I used this company before and they were amazing, sweet, and efficient. This time it was the complete opposite and felt like I was a huge burden to them. Also it cost $400 more than the last time I used them. So disappointed. read more

WOWZA!!! This company is top notch. Good job to personal and management for hiring such excellent staff! Thank you. From the lovely woman I think her name is Suzanne answering the phone to Mitch and Malik the very professional movers. The move was so easy and seamless from start to finish. We were in a pickle! We had set up a different mover to move us on a Tuesday. We were moving from a cabin on Mt Hood. This different company from hell showed up in flip flops and shorts in the middle of winter? Then this mover refused to move us because there was snow on the ground? They walked off the job and left us in the lurch. We had taken off work and the new owners were taking possession on Wednesday. STRESSFUL!!!! Got a referral from a labor only company called Oregon Trail Moving and they recommended All Service Moving. I called All Service moving immediately on Tuesday and got Suzanne. She was so sympathetic and laughed at the flip flops of the hell movers. She immediately checked the schedule and said they had that Thursday open! What a relief!!! My experience with Suzanne was she promised and then over delivered getting me items before her promised time. Excellent sense of humor and compassion with Suzanne. When Mitch and Dalik showed up on in the All Service moving truck on Thursday they had called and texted 3 times to let us know when they left. When they hit Sandy and when they were coming up our road. They were 30 minutes early! They were very professional and we could tell that both were very experienced. Mitch took a look at what needed to be moved while Dalik set up red carpets over the snow so they wouldn't slip. No time was wasted! Both Dalik and Mitch got right to business. Handling paperwork. Gently wrapping up our items and very safely lifting and using body mechanics to transport our items. It took less than 3 hours to organize and move. We were blown away by their efficiency and senses of humor. And even better is our items were delivered the next day! We didn't have to wait for 3 weeks from the hell moving company. Mitch from All Service texted in the morning letting us know he was 10 minutes out. He safely assessed our road which is narrow and decided to back into our road and driveway. Malik was also safely guiding the truck and driver during this time. They only took an hour to unload. And even offered to move a mattress and few chairs to our lower level. They were smiling and so nice. You have a very good team and we would recommend your company immediately. Can't say enough nice things. Bright, courteous, honest, very understanding, and experienced men in their Portland, OR home-office reliably helped me to fully plan and execute my move - from Santa Monica, CA to Vancouver, WA . My move was from a second floor walk-up apartment, into a third floor walk-up apartment- all of which was accomplished quickly, efficiently, & without any complaint or any extra charge ! I encountered no 'hidden' or unanticipated charges or expenses at all in this move . Of especially very great importance and reassurance to me, their two excellent movers expressly drove a separate moving van- on that 1,700 mile round trip-that was dedicated exclusively to my move and to my household items alone . This secured my personal belongings, and avoided the risk of long delayed, or of permanently lost ( or stolen ) household items that can frequently occur - as I'd fearfully read in many reviews- when the major movers very often combine multiple people's moves within one large van . My two movers from All Service Moving were two younger, very remarkably strong, well-trained, energetic, enthusiastic, polite men - Willie and Omar. They showed up exactly on time, worked carefully yet rapidly, diligently, & very independently, and completed my household packing well within the several hour time-frame that had been projected .The truck was loaded in a well-planned manner, that served to secure my furniture, etc. from any damage on the long drive - along California's not always meticulously maintained roads and Freeways . Observing all of this helped me to feel secure enough to avoid buying optional full coverage insurance on all but a couple of my most delicate items. There was, in fact, no damage at all to any of my furnishings, computers, large flat screen T.V., or to any other of my possessions . Everything was placed unhurriedly and appropriately in my new apartment, and set up/ reassembled correctly, as needed. I was especially relieved and gratified that there was no damage at all to my possessions, nor to either apartment or building, despite the narrow passages and tight turns of the hallways and staircases ( especially in the 65 year old apartment that I was leaving ) that needed to be negotiated in this move . Willie and Omar were especially careful to secure my two curious cats from any risk of harm . I plan to confidently engage All Service Moving again in ~ 7 months time, for my then final move into another apartment that will then be completed, in the last phase of my new apartment complex's construction. If you're reading this review, you're probably considering to hire All Service Moving (ASM). Here's my recent (09/22/16 - 09/23/16) experience with ASM and why you shouldn't consider anyone else. ASM help us move across towN, from NE to SE. We decided on ASM because they provided packing and moving services. I was worried because we needed to move and wasn't sure how it would be handled, we've never had someone else do our packing. We decided to split the whole process into two days to make it easier on our family. Day 1: Nikola (lead), Jackson, and Isan showed up 5 minutes early on Thursday. They were very nice, professional and got packing right away after a quick house tour. They packed every room into nice stacked and labeled boxes, which was nice because they made it easy to see where that box belonged. Day 2: We were worried they would send other people that we had not built a rapport with. However, Nikola, Jackson, Isan, and RJ showed up 5 minutes early again on Friday along with two moving trucks.The guys really worked as a team, communicated very well with each other and made the whole process look very easy. When we arrived at the new house with the two trucks, they quickly got to work after a quick tour. The guys rolled out a runner to make sure that the floors didn't get ruined. They assembled our bed, and placed the furniture where we wanted. I have a large executive desk that I was sure I would have to get rid of because it might not fit through the door. The guys assured me to not give up hope until they had at least tried getting the desk inside. They calmly took the door off and got it into my new office without even a single scratch or complaint! They most definitely deserve a medal for helping me keep my solid oak desk! When it came time to hook up the dryer, the guys noticed that it was a gas hook up and that our electric dryer would not work. Thank goodness they noticed, and kindly asked us where what we wanted to do. Nikola, Jackson, Isan, and RJ made this move possible, their attention to detail and the level of care they took of our belongings quickly made us recognize them as a valuable asset to ASM. I would highly recommend them for their packing and moving services. Like they say, they might not be the cheapest but they're the best! After living in the same house for the last 17 years, my mother found out her landlords were finally selling the property and that she was going to need to move. A co-worker of mine had mentioned they were moving around the same time-frame and said that his wife had done a ton of research and decided on All Service Moving to get them moved. Knowing how thorough is wife is I recommended All Service Moving to my mom as well. My mom did some research on her own, compared several other companies to All Service Moving, but she said that All Service Moving had the best most detailed website, they were able to give her even more detailed information over the phone regarding her move, with an estimate, and the other companies she spoke with were not nearly as professional when dealing with them over the phone. She decided on All Service Moving as her company. Chris and Randy showed up the morning of Saturday, November 14th, 2015 (see uploaded photo), at my mother's house. Chris "The Veteran" immediately introduced himself and shook hands, and he had his trusty side-kick Randy "The Rookie" with him. I walked them through the house and gave them a once over and they immediately got to work. They worked non-stop during the entire move, were careful in moving my mother's items, wrapped and padded up furniture like you would expect a top quality moving company to do, and were polite, professional, and did I mention hard-working...oh yes, I did mention that above, but I'm mentioning that again. I was very impressed with their work ethic, and it's apparent that All Service Moving as a company goes out of their way to train their employees on excellent customer service. There is reason this company has so many good reviews here in Yelp, and on Angie's List. It was apparent that Chris was the more experienced mover and that he had Randy under his wing, and these guys really did do a fantastic job, were expeditious, efficient, and they worked straight through until everything was moved and didn't even take a lunch break. I would definitely use All Service Moving in the future for any move that I would be doing, and would highly recommend the company, and Chris and Randy. Nice job guys! It's been almost a month now, and I'm still waiting on that phone call from them. We picked this company because of the great reviews they have. The morning of the move, they showed up an hour late. Three guys showed up and were very friendly. One specifically was very talkative and would not stop talking about his side business owning ice cream trucks. The guys were given very specific instructions. The move was only 8 minutes away. We had the boxes packed already with names of rooms on some that needed to be taken directly there, some had the text: "be careful, glass inside, don't stack anything on top", and some had "FOOD for fridge or food for freezer, take to kitchen NOW", some had "Medication.. take to master bedroom now".... you get the point. We moved into a house that is getting a huge renovation done on it. So the boxes that went to specific rooms and not the garage were literary 9 or less boxes. The guys ended up stacking EVERYTHING in the garage!!!! food that needed to go into the freezer and fridge, diabetes meds and inhalers that we needed right away, boxes with glass vases and expensive china were stacked at the bottom of huge piles of boxes and broke! We called them right away on Saturday when we got to the new house and saw what had happened. The lady assured us on the phone that she would talk to her supervisor and get back to us same day. She assured someone would be out the next day the latest to take all boxes out of the garage and organize everything. The next day came and left.. and no one came.. no call... we called again, and she was apologetic again and promised someone would come out. I explained to her the importance of our meds ... how we had toddlers and an elderly mother living with us that needed the meds buried in the garage, how the food was all spoiled now, how the expensive glass and china is all broken... she asked we fill out an online claim, which we did... NOTHING EVER happened. Now I'm going to file for small claim courts and ask them to replace all my broken glass, the food, the damages they caused us and so much more!!! And wait till my family and friends hear about this service and share how they feel about this company online. read more

All Service Moving (ASM) deserves this five star rating. We just moved from a two apartment in downtown Portland to a home in western Washington. ASM did an excellent job and provided outstanding customer service. When we started to plan our move, I contacted several companies, and ASM was the only business I called that had a person answer the phone. The person was very helpful and friendly. There were also regular follow up calls from ASM before the move to make sure we had everything we needed. On the day of the move out, the three movers, Daniel, Remy, and Jeremiah, were simply fabulous. Even though we completely packed, we still had a few questions and requests of the three and they handled everything professionally and efficiently. What I most appreciated is that the three movers helped reduce our costs. ASM charges a flat rate on the number of trucks they need to use. In their initial estimate they projected they would need to use two trucks to load our possessions from the apartment and our items from a nearby storage unit. After moving us out of the apartment, they came to the storage unit with the second (empty) truck, but after assessing what we had, they felt they could get everything into the first truck. Their only concern was whether or not the fully loaded truck would be under the weight limit. Fortunately for us, they were able to get everything into one truck and remain under the weight limit (by a mere 20 pounds! Daniel said they have been close to the weight limit before, but never that close). Their efforts to fit everything into one truck cut our bill nearly in half. I am grateful for their efforts in doing that. And the next day when they moved us into our home, they again were extremely accommodating, making sure they placed everything properly, including re-arranging our furniture when we decided to move some things around. Everything from my first phone call to them, to their business practices, and to the stellar work of Daniel, Remy, and Jeremiah, everything was excellent. They made our move relatively painless. Let me start by saying that All Service Moving is the company that I will forever measure all moving companies against! I have recently had the displeasure of having to use another company for a small move because All Service was completely booked and let me tell you -- next time I will wait until All Service is available. I have had two different crews from All Service in the last month and both times the workers were extremely professional, kind, thorough, helpful, respectful, went above and beyond and were truly a pleasure to have in my home. They started out by laying down tarps to protect the floors and then proceeded to wrap all my belongings so that nothing could get scratched or damaged. They made sure they had plenty of water on hand to stay hydrated. They helped us assemble furniture that we couldn't figure out -- it was a piece of cake to them! They were always smiling and happy and kept saying, "You just don't worry about a thing -- we've got this! We'll take care of everything!" They genuinely set out to make it as easy as possible for us! I had to laugh when the first time I used All Service, the team lead, Franco, asked me how I had heard about them. I said, "I hadn't ever head of you guys before." He said, "You never went online and checked us out or googled us?" "No, I said. I was simply meditating one day and asked that I be brought the best movers that would make my move as easy as possible. About 5 minutes later I heard a very large truck outside my window and I opened my eyes to see a huge All Service Moving truck driving by very, very slowly. I knew that was my answer." I have moved 28 times in my 56 years of life on this planet--by far, this was the smoothest, safest and most courteous moving experience I have EVER experienced. Franco and Brian were the most amazing guys. Everything was perfect from their prompt arrival to the minute they said goodbye and pulled out of the driveway from my new home. There were steep stairs on both end of the move and it turned out to be a MUCH bigger job than I had anticipated. These two men NEVER stopped for breaks (except for a quick drink of water) and back on the run. When we brought in pizza for lunch, they ate one piece and we're back on the job!! My parents recently passed away and as a result, I have received many family heirlooms of great sentimental value--Franco and Brian were very respectful of my things--many of them antiques--wrapping and padding everything. They even padded the doorways to ensure nothing was scratched or damaged. Their great care to keep my possessions safe was amazing. You would think they were moving their OWN family! Franco and Brian took exceptional care to ensure the flooring in my home was kept clean and even rolled out red neoprene carpets to ensure no dirt was tracked in. Ok---so now you know that they completely wowed me with their expertise and service.....but here is the big thing you DIDNT know.....it was POURING rain (I'm an Oregonian--but I'm talking MONSOON style rain) ALL DAY LONG with no letup! These guys were soaked to the skin and were just as professional, funny and amazing at the end of the day as they were when they arrived. I hope you will hire them for your next move. All Service Moving Portland, I recommend this place 100% if you are moving long distance. From the estimate to the end of the move, everything was smooth and worry/stress-free. I got stressed a lot from interstate moving and searched all the options. Pods, long-distance van line movers, and all the Portland movers were in my consideration. Not like un-reliable representatives/responses, or un-reasonably expensive quotes from other movers, All Service Moving was the place that contacted me with a reasonable estimate immediately and made me so comfortable from the first call/response. They gave me a call a week before my move for the status update; everything is the same as scheduled. Amazing. Since I had signed my moving contract, they contacted me in advance, not me. There was no delayed response or worry. Two thumbs up!! On the moving day, a driver and two movers came and started protecting(packing) my furniture and loading it. Alfonso, the driver, was excellent. Asking him as your driver, if possible. He is careful, communicating with us everything, and patient. 2 Movers, Jack and Sebastian were very efficient, thorough, and fast, but not rushing. They were great! Loading from my house was done within 3 hours. I hoped these two movers also come with the truck and unload my stuff. That much they were good! Alfonso called me every morning about the status of the truck to us. He arrived at our Arizona home on time and finished unloading and organizing the furniture and boxes with top-quality service. I cannot find any bad experience with All service Moving Portland. They are different from any mover I have ever used for decades. Exceptionally Good! I've moved with ASM 4 four times now, the first three times were residential, one time was business. Until this last time, I was a big fan, but this last move was a terrible experience, a long distance move of only 160 miles. Damage: We have a lot of very nice furniture, including expensive pieces and a few antiques. Almost every piece has some damage. Logistics: We scheduled the move, and talked over whether we would need two or three movers. We specifically suggested maybe we should have three, and were told two would work fine for our particular move. Then, we specifically requested a person to come from the office to evaluate whether a third mover would be necessary for an oversized piece; the person suggested it could go either way, we asked for a third mover at $500 just for loading, to be safe, we were happy to pay the money. The morning of the move, a third mover did not come, and they had to scramble to get a third person. For the actual move, the original two movers did the work. One of the movers was fairly large and strong, and the other was not; the effect was that various pieces of heavier furniture were lifted almost exclusively by the strong mover, so that certain pieces of furniture were being improperly leaned at improper angles. Additionally, the front light of the home we had just sold was damaged. Bad attitude: The entire time, one of the movers was constantly making excuses, trying to come up with an excuse for every single thing causing damage to the furniture. We paid almost $3,000, and some of our furniture has been damaged. Don't use this company if you have niece pieces, I was impressed in the past, but I don't believe I would trust ASM nowadays with your nice furniture/antiques. read more

Had a great experience with All Service, from start to move. I used Yelp's 'Request a Quote' feature to gather the initial information about the company, and eventually booked my move on the phone. On the day of my move, All Service was 15 minutes early, and ready to go with a truck, dolly, hand carts, blankets, ramp etc. Mike and Oleksiy were wonderful and really communicative. We initially thought we'd have a quick move, but we had more stuff than we realized. Our 1100 sq ft apartment was fully packed up and ready in the truck within two hours. This included stairs, a basement and some really heavy/solid oak furniture. In between the apartment and our house, they were going to grab lunch, but Mike called to let us know that their truck broke down on the way. No issue for us -- gave us a few more minutes to get things wrapped up at the apartment. When they were back on the road, they gave us a call and we met them at the house. Unloading went quickly and smoothly. They were helpful in placing furnishings around the house as we requested, and even had some rollout carpeting to help keep things clean. I know moving can be a huge hassle and movers can really be hit or miss, but Mike really made our whole day easier. He was a really great point-person for the day, and just SUPER helpful. Our move did cost a bit more than we expected, but we also mis-judged how much stuff we had to move. We were made sure that we were not charged for All Service's lunch break and truck issues, in the end their time-table aligned with ours from what we expected to pay -- so all in all, easy peasy.
