Michael and Francisco's masterwork - a 3-bedroom home in a 15 foot POD, leaving us extra space to work with
    Vlad G.

WOW. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about these guys. Without a doubt the BEST movers I've ever worked with. From Drew's responsiveness to Michael and Francisco's ruthless efficiency, warm and engaging demeanors, and total professionalism, it's been an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE working with these guys, which I've now done three times in less than two years. Michael and Francisco have been my movers the last two times and they've made it a stress-free, and even fun process. Watching them play Tetris today fitting a 3 bedroom home's worth of items into a 15 foot POD was seeing a masterclass in technique - they were so efficient that they actually left four feet of space in the POD, which we can now use to throw in more belongings! I give these guy's my highest recommendation and would use them eight days a week for any moving needs.

Oversized for the loading dock, but manageable.

Ah yes, moving time once again! I inquired a good 30 days prior to my apartment move out date, and was helped by Jacob. I didn't feel any pressure by him, other than deciding on a Saturday morning or afternoon move time. A Sunday move was out of the question. But between a morning or noon start time, and due to an apartment loading dock issue, I had to request the crew show up at noon. They seem to wanna start the job early in the morning, but luckily my noon time move was acceptable. All set, although I was confused with only a "verbal" confirmation about the date and crew that will be there. Not a huge issue, as I did call again a week prior to, just to confirm we were scheduled. Most moving companies that I've dealt with will usually assess the amount of stuff I have, and then give me an estimate. But I was never asked about my stuff. They seem to have a set pricing which seems like a market price, and fine by me. They were a bit cheaper than the other estimates I received. $192/per hr, three men, one truck, and drive time cost. In which I was less than seven miles away from the new place. And I emailed them (to lessen the shock) a list of items to be aware of; Number of heavy boxes with books, what beds needed to be wrapped, and what furniture required extra protection. They did provide shrink wrap, blankets, and packaging tape, but majority of my things were already packed and ready to go. Moved day was with Juan, Jose, and Fernando: ~ They arrived 15 minutes early (11:45am), two thumbs up! Nice guys! Hard workers too! ~ They protected my furniture, loaded all my heavy boxes, and cleaned up a bit after. ~ Arrived at my new home, and they placed the red protective runners for the stairs and hallway. Excellent! ~ Move complete at 3:15pm. Not bad at all. ~ Although, what I thought would be a $600-800 move ended up being $900+ including tip. Overall, would I use these guys again? Hands down, YES! Why? Not necessarily because of price, but because they didn't damage anything. Not even a wall scratch.

I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. in the end this guy ruined my 2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

Two Asian dudes showed up, barely spoke to me, one would only speak his own language while the other would then speak to me in English. They rudely took pics of my apartment, then went and sat back in their truck. After about 20 minutes, the guys came out and said they couldn't do the move because it was "unsafe". Prior to that it was because I had too many small items, and in between that I was told it was because I asked for 3 hours and they'd need 7-9 hours. I called dispatch again and told Karina she sent me two racist movers. She claimed that couldn't be. I explained my stance and she said she'd call me back. Meanwhile, I have no way to move my stuff. Karina said she would talk with her moving team and call me back. Guess what? She never did. I guess you get great service when you have the right skin color. Move your stuff yourself and save the headache. The worst company ever and I don't see how Yelp recommends them. I'm disgusted.

I also gave them photos and suggestions for off-street parking. On moving day, they arrived 40 min late and had no information about the parking situation (+15 min for moving the moving truck). Either the estimator or dispatch listed me as a single room rather than top-to-bottom 1,000 SF apartment. They only booked a 2-person team for 4 hours (needed to be double), and nowhere near enough packing materials to finish the job. Between the late start and fixing all the problems, we burned 2 hours before even getting started. The guys were complaining TO ME that they wouldn't be paid overtime. Their preferred time-saving method was to simply empty kitchen drawers (including sharps) into huge boxes that also had paper lantern floor lamps, decorative pillows, and random stuff from my office (lamps were trashed). There were only 2 closets; both had gotten the floors cleared, but no one bothered with the overhead shelves. Due to limited space on the truck, I had to make other arrangements to move my couch, 2 living room chairs, and my bed. Once we got to the new place, they ignored the room labels and simply piled everything I own in the middle of living rm/kitchen. Instead of using the rest of my weekend to unpack, it took me TWO WEEKS to dig out, distribute, and get stuff put away. I made several trips back to my old apartment to clean out the closets and rescue other stuff that I discovered. I paid another $900 to have those last 4 pieces of furniture carted out and donated. Hire these idiots at your peril.
