The place was busy, the food was delicious although the menu was limited, and the service was great.

About two blocks from the main cross-streets of Downtown Silver Spring. Worth the brief walk to come for dinner. It was a nice evening and we decided to sit outside. For starters, we got the New England Clam Chowder and an order of Chickpea Fries. New England Clam Chowder - definitely a chowder and not a soup (heavy cream base) with a nice flavor and a healthy amount of clam bits. Chickpea Fries - A nice portion of well prepared fries. Nice crunch on the outside, but moist on the inside. Well seasoned and not oily. Comes with ketchup and an avocado lime ranch, which was ok. It's a huge portion and we took most of it home to enjoy later. Good use of chickpeas. Branzino - This is a whole fish split in half. Pretty easy to remove the bones oneself. The skin was nice and crunchy with the meat inside moist. Well prepared. I'm not a huge fan of dill and I think the seasoning of dill is a bit overdone here. (I'm pretty sure it's dill. Whatever it is, it's too heavy for me and detracts from the meal.). The wild rice side dish is very good. Lobster Roll - Excellent. My partner ordered this and the only comment was that the large was very big and next time they likely would get the small one. Lots of delicious, cold lobster meat. The fries also were excellent. The service overall was very good. Our food was served at an appropriate rate (apps, then main, which seems not to be important at a lot of restaurants these days) and the water service was excellent. Recommend this restaurant. I probably would not get the Branzino again because of the heavy dill seasoning, but there are other items in the menu that look interesting. read more

We were greeted by a host who immediately sat us down The food items looked great and we got smash burgers and their fries. One person got some Old Bay chicken wings and they looked delicious. Overpriced food, quality OK. Don't get the hope about this place. My clam chowder soup came in a very small cup, there were no clams just potatoes and crackers. I have ordered the Cobb lobster salad. It was a Cezar salad with sliced boiled egg and lobster. The blue cheese and lobster did not make any sense. You don't serve cheese with seafood. Service terrible, one of my co-workers ordered another lemonade that did not come until the meal was over. The server tried to sign a Christmas song and tipped herself 22% without asking. I came with a group of friends on a Saturday early afternoon (12:30), and we were one of the only couple of parties inside...I will say, it got busier when we were leaving around 2:30 though. I got the Seafood Pasta which was played beautifully. The flavor was pretty good and the serving size was great - had plenty left over for lunch. I also ordered the Basil Gin Ricky, which I don't think is on the menu anymore but is still a favorite. Another friend got more of a seasonal drink that looked delicious, I think the Wicked Good Morning. I would like to come back soon for HH because that used to be my favorite! MR Bake's Preview Party at All Set The world famous, Kareem "Mr. Bake" Queeman hosted a viewing party with his friends at All Set. We, as friends and fans were thrilled to be invited to watch an episode of the Halloween Bakeshop on the Flavor Network, where he is a judge, They had some delicious items on the menu for purchase, the item I wanted to try (jerk salmon) was unfortunately sold out. They had great drinks that were sparkling, and raised the excitement while we waited to watch the preview. To celebrate they had a few desserts available to everyone in attendance, gourmet full-size cookies, mini cupcakes and banana pudding. It won't be a party without desserts. It was fun watching the baking competition. I think the best part of the evening was when Kareem gave inspiration thoughts about his journey and encouragement for those on similar paths. read more

This is a new staple in my rotation! Food, service, and ambiance are up great. I came here a few years ago and it was a pleasant yet unmemorable experience. However, I went a couple of times recently and have had a positive experience each time. During the last visit, we tried the oysters and loaded fries from the happy hour menu and the smash burger and the fish and chips from the regular menu. During the most recent visit, we ordered the oysters again, jerk skewers, slow smoked honey sriracha wings, Caesar salad, and regular fries all from the happy hour menu! The burger and fish and chips were decent flavor wise but satisfied hunger! The oysters, loaded fries, and slow smoked honey sriracha wings are outstanding!!! They give you a great amount of the toping for the loaded fries. The oysters are $1 each for happy hour and great quality meaty oysters. Def recommend All Set for happy hour!! Drinks are great and flowing. The Boston tea party, hi bish, and pretty in pink were all delicious and strong!! Service is prompt. All Set is a bit of a throwback in all the best ways. Met a friend here because we were dying for oysters and discovered the Sunday happy hour. We sat at the bar, had amazing service, and split a dozen oysters. I usually eat my oysters plain with lemon, but All Set serves them with four little squeeze bottles of horseradish, mignonette, hot sauce, and cocktail sauce. Very clever. Wines by the glass were decent, and we also had the sliders, which were amazing. Definitely going back. This is not a trendy place. It's not that pretty. But I loved it. read more

I have walked past this restaurant on the way to The Fillmore from the Spring-Cameron parking garage countless times, but decided this past Sunday would be the day I stop. I ended up being late for my reservation and the hostess was warm and accommodating over the phone. My waiter was attentive without being overbearing, and I had pleasant interactions with the rest of the waitstaff. They have many happy hour drinks and food options to choose from in a wide range of prices. I appreciated the balance of seafood and non seafood options across both the happy hour and dinner menu. I had plans afterwards so I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted, but I had an excellent time and will be back again to try all the food/drinks I didn't get to try. read more

The place is not big at all and tend to get crowded due to the happy hour being 5pm-close. -The wings were not good at all. They were so huge and bland but was salty on the top (If that makes sense) lol... -The calamari were good. - I ordered oysters but never received it, but my brother said his oysters were good. - kale salad was delicious. We've been coming to All Set for years and it always hits! Although the BBQ was good, I'm glad to see the menu has gone back more to the original one (more of a seafood focus). The inside nautical atmosphere and decor are great, we also love sitting outside (they have TVs out there usually playing sports if that's what you like!). Our top hits include the lobster cobb, old bay wings (literally the crunchiest wings you'll ever have!), the chick pea fries, lobster roll, crab cakes, and fried shrimp. The menu selections and variety would suit any pallet. The many beverage choices to complement your meal as well. I visited All Set with a large group on a Saturday night and I am pleased to report that we all enjoyed the visit a lot. We were seated a few minutes before happy hour ended (normally daily from 3-6, all night Monday) and ordered a few drinks. The happy hour menu says its only for the bar area, but our waiter invited us to order from it anyway. This was a pleasant surprise and a good way to kickoff the meal. I tried the Basil Gin Rickey ($9) and Whiskey Sour ($8) and both were very good. For appetizers, we had the 1/2 lb Fried Shrimp ($19, 8 pieces), Sriracha Cheddar Biscuits ($14, four biscuits), and Chickpea Fries ($14, 9 large fries). All of the apps were delicious. The shrimp were large, had no shells on them, had a very nice, crispy fry, and a little seasoning so the dipping sauce and lemon wasn't necessary. The biscuits were large and had a bit of a spicy kick. We liked the berry sauce that came with them. I was wary of the chickpea fries but they were also great -- crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and came with two dipping sauces. The fries were a bit similar to the biscuits in that they were both kind of bready, so I probably wouldn't get them together again, but they were both worthwhile. Entrees were also a hit. I tried the Lobster Roll ($34 w/ fries) and Texas Brisket ($34, 1/2 lb served with carrots and mashed potatoes). The lobster roll was a good size and had noticeable chunks of claw meat (the best) along with crispy, lightly seasoned fries. The brisket was also tasty, although a bit overshadowed by the sauce, carrots, and potatoes. I would have preferred the brisket to stand on its own a bit more to really appreciate it. The "Bleu Cheese Mashed Potatoes" didn't particularly taste like blue cheese to me, which was just fine as someone who hates it. Others at the table got entrees like the Fish and Chips ($25) and Branzino ($41, whole fish) which also got high marks. Our waiter was good and very friendly. The restaurant was lively but not packed. It was a little noisy and nearly impossible to talk down the length of the table, which was ok but not ideal. The happy hour menu is solid with both food and drink at good prices. But the regular drink menu is too expensive, especially the beer and cocktails. The beer menu is pretty lame with only two local beers (both Atlas) and charging $8 for Corona or $9.5 for Atlas is robbery. Cocktails are also too high at $15. Wine is $12-$13 a glass and I would like to see cocktails at that price point. read more

Just wanted to grab a delicious bite and read my book and decompress. I ordered the crab cake entree, with their ipa, and had a coffee, salted caramel gelato, and apple cake for dessert. Now speaking of the menu, we were ready for some Branzino as advertised only to be served rockfish instead. It's like showing up for a date with Chris Hemsworth and getting his lesser-known cousin. I visited All Set restaurant on a solo lunch date and later on a dinner date. The service was good. The waitress were very attentive and helpful with my order. The food was good, not amazing, but decent (both times). What stood out to me the most was the ambiance. I really like the nautical, sailing theme. They also played old school 90s R&B music that made me enjoy the vibes even more. There was plenty of parking at the parking garage nearby. Not only were the drinks and food great, Oz provided us with exceptional service. Even with a large party and an event going on, he was very attentive and made sure to check on us. We've been to all set before and decided to come back for a date night after several friends on Facebook reminded us that it could be a fun date night restaurant. The Atmosphere is wonderful. The location is easy. service @ front of house was fine. Food was delicious. Unfortunately our server sucked. She had us waiting 20 minutes to take our orders after taking our initial drink orders as we watched her on the patio spending 20 minutes talking to some friends. She was incredibly slow with taking our orders all night. While she would stop by occasionally, it was clear that other team members were encouraging her to pay attention to her customers versus having fun with her friends. My husband actually had to walk over to her to get her to check us out so we could pay and leave. This was as the other staff was clearly wrapping up for the night. Delicious and great service again! Came here in a whim with some family a couple years back and when I needed to pick a brunch spot to see a friend, this place immediately came to mind. They did not disappoint! Our server was so nice and personable. Food was brought out quickly and water was refilled regularly. We even stayed past paying the check because it wasn't busy and they kept refilling our water! (Y'all know some places act like you're not there once your check is paid). And of course the place is so cute! Themed with lots of seating options, both inside and outside. On to the food! Sriracha biscuits: 4/5. Still a shock every time! You think "sriracha and berries? What?" But it works! I don't even like sriracha, but the berries offset the spice very well. And the biscuits are of course soft and fluffy. Texas brisket hash: 4.2/5. You get a lot of food with this. I took home leftovers and had the rest for breakfast the next day. The brisket was tender, could've had a bit more flavor, but still solid. Came here for brunch with my girlfriend on a whim and had a table right away even without booking one. The overall atmosphere of the place was nice, and it definitely has a great theme to it. The food was very delicious, and the drinks had one helluva kick to them. Only knock on the place was our server put in one of our items wrong so one of us got the food we ordered and then we had to wait for the other order to be made and brought out.
