You see, get there too late and your options will be less. This morning before they opened, they already down to a half pound of burnt ends left for the day. They take pre-orders and you better put those in before they open or you'll be waiting until later in the day. Only a certain number of folks can be let in at a time to control seating which is available in and out. I had the short back ribs (which were so delish they fell off the bone), mac and cheese (warm cheesy goodness) and tried some of the baked beans (with brisket, jalapeños and saucy goodness). We also brought home some turkey, and their two kinds of brisket. Sweet baby Jesus. The wagyu brisket is buttery, melt in your mouth delish and the prime brisket is more traditional. Know there may be a wait to get in as you can see and I have heard there have been times of an hour wait. AMAZING! We've been meaning to try this place for a while and it didn't disappoint! The meat is so tender and juicy! It's hard for me to pick which one I like better, but loved it both. Came here to try what we heard was some of the best bbq in the DMV. We arrived early, as there was talk of long lines and wait times for the food. There was limited street parking and off street parking in a lot across the street for customers, but it was not large. We were lucky enough to find a space. We went across the street and stood in line for entry. They only allowed a certain amount of folks in and as people left, they allowed that number in. While waiting, we perused the paper menu. They also have a poster board as well which was used to inform what items were sold out. We weren't in line a long time and lucky there were no items posted before it was our turn inside so everything was in play for us. We went inside and there was still a line to the counter to order. The place was rather small with small tables around the parameter and large outdoor wooden tables in the middle for eating there. It was our time to order. The staff were pleasant and we ordered the beef rib, smoked chicken wings they had on special, pulled pork sandwich with the Cole slaw on the side, mac and cheese, brisket beans, and cornbread. They had an assembly line prep area where they prepared the orders and also a cold case where the cold salads were kept. We were given a buzzer to let us know when our order was ready. We luckily found seating by the front window and our buzzer buzzed letting us know our order was ready. Everything looked good and we got into it: Beef rib: The BEST of our order. The rib was HUGE and is a best seller. When I went to pick it up, it was falling off the bone. The tender smokiness coupled with the great seasoning made this a hands down winner in our book. I went to texas for work not long ago and they had some of the best BBQ I ever had. This past weekend I was going down to DC and was looking for some good place to eat, and someone recommended this BBQ place, when I looked up and saw the pictures and review, I knew this is as close to Texas BBQ as possible in the east coast. I found that there are two location one in DC and one in MD, I decided to go to the MD one on the way back home to PA First when I got there around 5pm, the parking lot across the shop was full, there were already line waiting outside the store, there are plenty of outdoor seating. You can tell this place is amazing just by smelling it from the outside and how long the lines are. There are also free water in the cooler outside of the store. The wait isn't too long as it moves pretty quick, the staff will open door and let you in when there are space in the order line. Once I am in the line inside and I ordered the food, it took no longer than 4min to have the food ready. You can tell all the meat they are cutting are super fresh and juicy. They ran out of pull pork for the day which my wife wanted I wanted to order a bit of everything, my wife and daughter ordered wagyu sandwich, she told me it was so good and she didn't expected that, the meat is so juicy and melt in your mouth, the flavor is so good. I had the pork ribs, it is juicy and full of flavor, fall off the bone good. The smoked turkey was excellent, it is juicy and super fresh and tender. The chicken quarter leg is very good, but I can probably skip this one and try some beef brisket next time. The corn bread was very good, the mac and cheese was also good. There was also free water inside if you wanted. If you can't finish the food there are container box on the counter and you can grab. Ther service was excellent, people love what they do there. There are also many seating inside if you want to eat inside. This is as close to any Texas bbq you can get if not better in my opinion. My first experience at 2Fifty was amazing! The line moved fast, the fragrance of food in the air was fabulous! The wait time for orders was not long. The only thing I forgot was plastic utensils so I could eat a couple bites before I got home. The meat was so tender! Mac n cheese was flavorful. The pulled pork sandwich was good. The mashed sweet potatoes need a little flavoring, but they're not too bad! All and all, a strong 9.75 out of 10!!! Go check this spot out! Today 5-1-26 I finally visited 2 Fifty to see the hype! . It's overly hyped but VERY GOOD TENDER BBQ for this spot to be Salvadoran-owned & not Uncle Mike's or James" Backyard Que it Hits the spot!.. Don't expect a thick bbq sauce like I did since it's Bbq because it's Salvador flavors and more so a wet pour or soak your food it's a different taste . Ordered 2 Wadyu Beef Brisket sandwich Combos which comes with 2 sides for 22.00 plus tax. The sides were Potato Salad and Mac and cheese!.. the Potsto salad I wasn't a fan the relish pickling mix and the possible fresh dill or whatever herb they use didn't like it at all it didn't flow with the Que at all. Idk if it's the pickling brine of the relish or just too much apple cider vinegar but Damn horrible my mama said maybe just potato salad with eggs salt pepper leave that relish mixture out. THAT MAC tho was a 10/10 , excellent cheese pull seasoned well just right of the seasoned noodle and cheese blend nothing overpowered PERFECT!!... wish they had a side of greens or string beans instead of salad mix . The Wagyu Brisket itself Tender , highly seasoned highly smoked just right. Will definitely come back! saw the Dino rib for 36 dollars my mama saw it in person and it was TRUE to size and tenderness. Oh! My! Goodness! We arrived to a line that snaked out of the door and half way down the block, filled with would-be bbq enthusiasts, most of which shared it was their first time too. While in line, we chatted casually with others about the dishes they'd heard about or seen. A nice young lady was at the door, controlling traffic as the anticipation mounted. The delightful smells wafted by our nostrils as excited patrons rushed by with their recently acquired goodies. The atmosphere was electric - filled with people who genuinely wanted to be there to eat good food. We ordered several things to share. Not pictured are the cole slaw and tangerine salad. EVERYTHING was delicious! The meats were smoky, seasoned and scrumptious, and the brisket was especially tender. We ate until full, and had leftovers for a second days treat! It's pricey, but you know what signing up for when you order. The prices are literally on the wall - so, you should order based on your pockets versus your eyes and appetite! This place is worth a review, every time I come. Came here on a Saturday afternoon, and it was packed as always. Be prepared to wait in the lines. I waited about 15 min outside, but they do offer free water while you wait! Ordered my usual brisket and mac & cheese. I'll never switch up on those two. This time around I tried the esquites. I also tried the spare ribs and the special for today was pork belly ends. Soooo good! Whatever sauce they put on the pork belly ends, they can bottle and sell it. Everything is fresh and flavorful. By the time I left, it was pouring raining. But, that did not stop folks from waiting patiently. I will be back again...and again! It's hands down the best BBQ in the area. read more

Hands down, the best BBQ in the city. Unique choices. Including pulled lamb stacked on top of nachos with pickled radish and cilantro is a top tier choice to share. The ribs are the best in the area. Nothing compares. DC can be a tough place even in restaurants if you're not local. The customer service was a 10/10.
