Brisket sandwich, corn bread, potato salad and more.

Maryland, College Park area: love this place! Thick carved juicy brisket sandwich which comes with coleslaw and pickles is so satisfying! Added a small amount of their standard BBQ sauce to the sandwich. since I had a couple of sides, I had leftover sandwich, good for a second meal. Potato salad is creamy, with mustard and herbs. Corn salad has a ton of flavor. Corn bread is sweet and has a cake texture. Writing this review is making me hungry. Looking forward to my next visit

Finally getting a chance to check this place out.

Business lunch yesterday. My guy was fiending for this place (again) after I turned him on to it a year ago. I wanted something closer, but endured the drive. For some reason it wasn't nearly as good although everything appeared the same. I had the Jalapeno sausage and a dino rib and neither were particularly exceptional as had been the case in year's past. Not sure what's changed - but something has. The rib was overseasoned and the sausage lacked substance. I took them both to-go after tasting. Still good service and still minimal parking options. Wishing DC had more/better BBQ options.

I recently visited after a brief hiatus. I forgot how much I really like this place. I first got introduced to them through a online Yelp event during the pandemic. Since then, they've expanded with a DC location and they've won awards. This is all warranted! They're just that good. I've recommended this place to many people and they have all been pleased with the food. Parking is still a little tight, but there's a parking lot across the street. I got the prime brisket during my recent visit! It was so good! Drooling thinking about it. If you haven't been to 2Fifty Texas, you need to!

To start of with the food here was excellent!!!! There was a parking lot across the street but it was small and pretty packed. We hawaiian line outside to get food but it moved fairly quickly. The inside was small but comfortable and there was another section which I believe may have been for carry out. Once we got inside, the line continued for us to order. Ww sat down and ate and then realized we wanted more food, so we were able to order at the table instead of waiting in the line again. We tried the beef ribs, which was one large slab of rib. It was very flavorful and tender. sit easily pulled off the bone to take leftovers home. We tried the brisket sandwich and equally delicious. I decided to try a special they had a brisket tostadas and it was one of the best things Ive eaten. The different textures with the meat, vegetables and tostada were very balanced and fun to eat. the flavors from the slaw for the vegetables was citrusy and refreshing with the meat. We also preferred the wings to go and I didn't find them that tasty when reheated. They were mostly smoky flavored, but I'd like to retry them when they are fresh.

They have the meatsssss! I would come back for the pork spare ribs! No sauce needed.

SO and I arrived 5 minutes prior to opening on a frigid February 2026 Saturday. We were the second party in line and the people just kept coming. The door was opened for us and we were immediately greeted. The dine-in space was bigger than we anticipated with four large multi-seating picnic tables/benches, 2 pub tables/chairs and 4 standard tables/chairs. They do also have outdoor picnic tables/chairs. The smokey bbq smell tantalizes your nose and made our mouth eager to grab some grub:) We ordered an assortment of items and the hits were the pork ribs, jalapeño cheddar sausage, corn bread, brioche roll and banana pudding. One of the co-owners was mingling with customers enjoying their food and ensuring they were happy. We expressed our dislike of the wagyu brisket and pulled pork and he generously brought us a sample of their American brisket and side of pulled pork with crackling. So unexpected and truly appreciated. They take pride in their offerings and it shows. We're already planning our next visit when the weather is nicer.

Ample seating inside and outside the store.

Hands down, the best BBQ in the city. Unique choices. Including pulled lamb stacked on top of nachos with pickled radish and cilantro is a top tier choice to share. The ribs are the best in the area. Nothing compares. DC can be a tough place even in restaurants if you're not local. The customer service was a 10/10. The lighting and atmosphere is elegant while still being modern and rustic.

I took my teenage niece out for a birthday lunch + shopping day, and she picked 2Fifty Texas BBQ. It had already been on my list, so I was excited she chose it and honestly, great taste runs in the family. We ordered the brisket and beef ribs, which I was very happy about since neither of us eats pork. Shoutout to them for having beef ribs because that's not always a given. For sides, we went with baked beans and mac & cheese. My only real wish? A green vegetable. I was hoping for green beans, collard greens, or even a simple salad. They only had a watermelon salad, which wasn't for me but I'll survive. Now let's talk about the meat. The setup where you grab your own sauces is a win because I like to sample, not drown my food. The brisket was tender and juicy, and the beef rib meat was falling off the bone - clearly cooked with intention and care. The space itself is pretty small. There is outdoor seating, but it was below 25 degrees and had just snowed, so absolutely not. You wait in line to order, then get a number when your food is ready. One thing to know: you can't grab a table until after you've ordered, so don't send someone ahead to hold a seat, it won't work. Overall, the food was delicious and cooked to perfection, and service was quick despite how busy they stay. The menu isn't huge, but it's clear they're constantly turning over fresh food. I'll definitely be back just not too often, because it's a bit pricey and the portions are on the smaller side. Still, if you're in the mood for really good Texas-style BBQ and don't mind a cozy space, this spot is absolutely worth the visit. Cool aunt approved.

Good solid bbq. Came on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 pm. There was a line out the door took about 30 mins to get inside to order. The service was pleasant and patient with questions about the menu. We ordered the brisket, pork ribs, beans, coleslaw, cornbread and larger. All the meat was tender with decent flavor the sauce is vinegar base just fyi.

Excellent BBQ. We went for the Waygu Brisket Waygu (very tender but not much flavor), beef rib (smoky , tender, fatty in the good way and huge) and cheddar sausage (perfection! My son and I make a mission to try the sausage at different BBQ joints and we both have this ideal in our head that hasn't been met--today it was. Squirts of cheese and spice enough to say hello but not enough to burn) We also had the Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes...both very good but wished they had pepper and salt on the table as that would have taken to the next level. Cornbread is average and Texas toast is from a grocery store bag. The sauces: regular is like a Kansas City BBQ sauce and a NC BBQ sauce had a baby. Loved it. The spicy was literally Taco Bell hot sauce with some BBQ seasoning. Honey mustard very mustard forward but good. Overall, amazing and will be back!

    Ginormous Dino Beef Rib!
    Jenaya P.

I get the hype about 2fifty!! I was so excited to come here and I came for a mission and that was to try thier ginormous dino rib! I arrived to 2fifty later in the evening and I was worried that the dino rib would be sold out. The line was somewhat long but it moved fast. Soon as I got to the register, I hesitantly asked the cashier if she still had the dino rib left, she checked and said they have one more left and of course I took it! I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. They gave me a light up button and about 25 minutes later my order was ready. Everything was good! The rib was flavorful, juicy and enough to feed a family of four. The mac and cheese was also good. Restaurant is small with a few tables to dine in. Overall I paid around 50.00 and it was well worth it!!

Great customer service! They repeat your order to confirm and ensure accuracy. Started with a brisket burger and potato fries. The 1/2 lb. burger came with a seeded bun, pickles, caramelized onions and cheese. It was cooked to medium well, was juicy and smoky. The sweet potato fries were well seasoned with herbs and crispy. I also had the brisket tamales and 1/2 lb. of Wagyu brisket, yes there is a theme here. There's quite a bit of tendernism going on here as it did fall apart. Juicy, smoky, This is the closest thing to Texas in Maryland. The brisket tamales were what tamales are. The surprise was an added grilled red pepper, definitely smoked and spicy . Love the Austin Blood Orange Hard Cider, crisp and cold.

Today 5-1-26 I finally visited 2 Fifty to see the hype! . It's overly hyped but VERY GOOD TENDER BBQ for this spot to be Salvadoran-owned & not Uncle Mike's or James" Backyard Que it Hits the spot!.. Don't expect a thick bbq sauce like I did since it's Bbq because it's Salvador flavors and more so a wet pour or soak your food it's a different taste . Ordered 2 Wadyu Beef Brisket sandwich Combos which comes with 2 sides for 22.00 plus tax. The sides were Potato Salad and Mac and cheese!.. the Potsto salad I wasn't a fan the relish pickling mix and the possible fresh dill or whatever herb they use didn't like it at all it didn't flow with the Que at all. Idk if it's the pickling brine of the relish or just too much apple cider vinegar but Damn horrible my mama said maybe just potato salad with eggs salt pepper leave that relish mixture out. THAT MAC tho was a 10/10 , excellent cheese pull seasoned well just right of the seasoned noodle and cheese blend nothing overpowered PERFECT!!... wish they had a side of greens or string beans instead of salad mix . The Wagyu Brisket itself Tender , highly seasoned highly smoked just right. Will definitely come back! saw the Dino rib for 36 dollars my mama saw it in person and it was TRUE to size and tenderness. They give you a buzzer type thing like red lobster used to when your order was ready. They have different Lunch Specials. Place your order ahead on line because the line was out the door and down the street half way. I LOOOVE there's a sign saying there will be a wait because they DONT RUSH their food! Definitely Worth it for Bbq. Service was kind Ambence was chill, moved quickly in a timely manner Come EARLY because even parking across the street from the spot gets packed fast it'll say customer parking / The Green house! The Ambience is chill , lines out the door inside its small tables and chairs not really a sit in spot plenty of seating outside

For $100, my family of four got slices of bread, corn, cornbread, mac and cheese, coleslaw, brisket, chicken, rice and peas, beans, and a zesty salad. It was a very large meal, and everything was tender. The brisket and chicken were especially juicy, though I do wish they offered more than just barbecue sauce--there's no steak sauce. Regardless, you come here for the tender meats that fall right off the bone. If you're able to sit down, the service is pretty quick and very friendly. I will say this: the place is small. You'll likely wait just to get inside, so hopefully you're patient. And if you're a small party, don't order too much. I also really like the jazzy feel--lots of mambo music playing in the background. If that's your vibe, you'll appreciate it.

Our friends ordered the Rasta Pasta, which was very heavy and spicy, and the Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas. They had asked for wings but got dry grilled strips instead, which was disappointing.
