Six stars aren't possible, unfortunately. I can't say enough about our great server, Jake, and how terrific his service was. Jake was charming, kind, and very attentive. He brought over some of their chickpea fries for free (which were delicious), he kept refilling our glasses, brewed a fresh batch of decaf for my in-laws, and really went above and beyond the call of duty in terms of making sure we were happy. But the real kicker: when he offered the dessert menu to us, my MIL mentioned it was my wife's birthday next week (but my wife didn't need dessert) -- but then he brought over a little cupcake with a candle in it, unprompted. It's these kind of things that make you want to be a regular. It was just a very kind thing to do. Oh yeah -- and the food was terrific. Went here for the Easter Brunch. It was ok. It was basically $50 and didn't include Mimosas. They served salads, traditional breakfast foods, fried chicken wings, and a cold bar that had smoked salmon, oysters and shrimp. For dessert they had these little pastries cinnamon and sugar donut wholes and brownies. Yaay for the brownies except they had nuts in them so i could not eat them . Very beautiful ambiance and decor. The food was okay pretty tasty but not mouthwatering. The service was pretty standard and we were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant without reservations on a weekend which is a plus for me. I did notice 2 male staff members in skinny jeans that seemed very flamboyant appearing to be joking around and making remarks about the customers but when they realized I was watching them they stopped. I discovered this restaurant after being in the area for a concert at Fillmore. The food is delicious and the ambiance is very nice. I've returned multiple times now over the past year and I will definitely be back again. The service is always great and the food doesn't take long to come out. The last time that I went, there was some construction going on which made getting to it a little more difficult but that may be done now. It's been a few months. My fave dish is the old bay wings. They are outstanding and cooked to perfection! I like their caesar salad as well! The only thing that I got and didn't like was the fish tacos but that may be because I just discovered that I'm allergic to avocado and it comes with an avocado lime sauce. My first impression of all set was that it was very well taken care of and aesthetically pleasing! There was a long line outside for the Fillmore but that just served as extra entertainment. The food was amazing! I had the clam chowder which had a little grit in it but I can overlook because of the flavors. My wife had the lobster roll which was very tasteful. One word: STELLAR! After reading about All Set on the Washingtonian, it's been on the top of my list of restaurants to try in the DMV. Lucky for me All Set is very close to home and they have earned the the title of my new favorite spot in town. The bestie and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for All Set's all day happy hour. And we are so glad we did! They offer Sunday Dinner and I love the concept and will definitely be back to try it out. The food: First things first, $1 Oysters during happy hour are a DREAM. We ended up ordering a dozen and they were delicious. Tim, our server/bartender, recommended that we get the chickpea fries since Oysters aren't exactly filling. We agreed and NO REGRETS. They are delicious and the avocado lime aoeli that comes with it is delicious. We also got the fish dip to share and it was a great snack. Definitely for those who are a fan of smoked fish. The bread was warm, buttery, and crunchy aka all the things I love about bread. Unfortunately, we had dinner plans with a friend somewhere else, but again I'll definitely be back for a full dinner. Also, I have no pictures of the food because when I finally remembered to take a picture our plates were empty. Oops! The Drinks: We got the House Punch and it was ALL kinds of amazing. I've never been to a place that serves something this unique. We tried two different flavors: a lavender green tea punch and watermelon basil. Both flavors were perfect for summer and very refreshing. Also, they had a nice kick to them. The Service: Every one we interacted with was so friendly and attentive. Being the indecisive diner I am, Tim was super helpful with suggestions. I have nothing but amazing things to say about everyone I interacted with when I dined here. I came back for the food but will return again because of the service. I went for my second meal at All Set this Saturday evening. The food and drink were again a huge hit. Top quality. First I had the Hihowhya cocktail that was very good( a suggestion from my server). I non-inventively repeated the appetizers from my first visit but the fish tacos and chickpea fries are just so darn good. My entree was the Rainbow Trout with crabmeat and it was not only cooked perfectly but seasoned extremely well. The real star of the night was our server. Her name was Megan. She handled our table with ease along with a large private party. She was always there when we needed her and had an amazing knowledge of both the menu and the wine and cocktail list. Amazing is all I can say! "pretty in Pink" was amazing!! Did just what it needed to do; reminded me of a spiked mimosa. The slow smoke wings were BOMB, I'm still dreaming about them a week later. The food and drinks were a 3.5, but the service was amazing! I had the bacon cheeseburger and the chickpea fries. The cheeseburger was good and very juicy. So juicy that I had to switch to fork/knife to finish it because the bun was soggy since nearly the beginning and quickly started to fall apart. The avocado lime ranch sauce for the chickpea fries was really zesty and flavorful. I appreciate how the waiter was really attentive and came to check if we wanted anything before happy hour officially ended. I went to all set for happy hour with friends. The food wasn't bad at all but the service was atrocious. I don't want to sound like a snobby and entitled person but first there was only four tables seated including mine. It took the waitress 15 minutes to even acknowledge our table. After getting our drinks, she didn't take orders for food but rather waited another 10 minutes to come back for our order. It took her forever to even take our orders. When trying to obtain the check, after telling the waitress I wanted to pay, she disappeared for another 20 minutes she had actually forgotten I was trying to pay. Then after this she took forever to give me my change. The service really does leave something to be desired. With regards to the food, the chickpea fries are pretty decent. As to the date this review is written, you can get a free plate of chickpea fries by checking in on yelp. Also the fish tacos are pretty small but are packed with flavor. I've been so bothered by the words "All Set", that I didn't even bother writing this review the day (or week for that matter) I visited. I recently moved right down the street from All Set. I was sooo excited to be just minutes from a seafood restaurant so I made sure I visited soon after moving into my new place. Well, I decided to visit a couple of hours after work (around 7pm). There were very few customers inside and outside so I grew excited as I thought that would mean faster service. Well, I was wrong. It took forever for someone to seat me -- mainly because there was no host at the door. After walking around for about three minutes, I managed to bump into the hostess. She sat me down. After, my waiter too forever getting to me. When she finally came, I told her that I'm undecided between two things and that it was my first time at All Set. She said okay and went to other tables. (Normal restaurants would have made a suggestion........ but whatever). She took forever getting back to my table. I guess she served over tables outside (two other tables)... I can tell that they were annoyed because they started getting up to grab the water pitcher and refill their water themselves. When she finally did come back, I asked for a water and the fish and chips and asked for her to HOLD THE SLAW. She brought the water out pretty quickly but I needed a refill after a while. I joined in with the other patrons and refilled my own water with the pitcher.... which soon ran out. Got my food after a while... with SLAW (I'm lactose to the point where the smell of dairy makes me gag so I always remember to say it... though I got slaw anyway). I was upset but just ignored it.... When I have fish and chips, I usually pick at the fries first. Then I took bites of the fish... I reaaaaaally tried to eat it but it was flavorless and tasted frozen, not fresh. I asked the waiter if it was frozen and she insisted it was fresh. No biggie. I asked to return it. She said she'll bring me out fries. Of course, if you can imagine, eating fried foods can make you thirsty... still no water *sarcastic smile*. She brought my fries out. I started to grab my things to go. Then she gave me a receipt.... I quickly learned that she charged me for fries because she placed an order of fries for me. I would've been fine with the fries on my plate but I was being charged for a whole order of fries that I didn't even care for. Whatever. I paid but I doubt I'd be back there. Slow service, horrible customer service. Which I don't understand because on a "busy scale" from 1-10.... they were a 3.5. read more

I wish I could give this place 3.5 Stars because the food was good and the ambiance was AWESOME. The service from the waitress was terrible though and really compromised what would have been an otherwise really good experience. The Waitress took a long time to acknowledge us after we sat. When she came to the table she did not introduce herself or say hello, she just asked what we would like to drink. On top of that, she greeted another table that sat down after us before us. I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and not assume it was not a race thing but that's how I felt since it was obvious that my friend and I had been sitting there over 10 minutes because she walked past us helping other guests multiple times and still helped the "non minority" guests. The management service was stellar. Over the course of my visit a manager bussed my table or asked me how my food was on 4 different occasions. It didn't however save the waitress from her overall lack of attentiveness, lack of enthusiasm and general indifferent unfriendly attitude. The food was good however. I had the chickpea fries with the yelp check in. They were awesome!!!! I also did the restaurant week menu. I had the spinach artichoke dip which was very average. The toast for the dip was a little over cooked. The steak with broccoli rabe and augratin potatoes were pretty good. I requested my steak be medium and it came out closer to well done. The manager was the one who asked me about my food in time for me to order a new steak early enough in my meal. The new steak was cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the clam chowder which was phenomenal and the Caesar salad which was pretty decent as well. Had the cookie sandwich for dessert which was decent. read more

I found this place on Yelp. It was a good "find"! The food was delicious. I had the Brick Chicken, which was seared with flavorful spices and served with mashed potatoes and kale. There was plenty enough to take home a doggy box! Others had the Arugula salad, Fish and Chips (great portion too!), and Shrimp and Polenta. Since merging with Money Muscle BBQ this restaurant has gotten a lot better. They now are serving oysters again and have changed recipes making their menu much more enjoyable. Tonight our server Patricia was AMAZING. Her service was 10/10. My burger was over cooked and she immediately rushed to fix it and got us fresh fries and I hate complaining so I was so grateful she remained fun, attentive and bubbly despite the hiccup. First time here and I love it! We sat outside which has so many tables and TVS on each side. They also have large industrial fans to keep you nice and cool. The menu has a great variety of food from bbq, seafood, sandwiches and salads. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and a mixed green salad. The ciabatta bread was nicely toasted and the chicken was grilled to perfection. Nice and juicy and well seasoned. The fries were crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. My fiancé ordered the grilled salmon salad and loved it! She really enjoyed the blue cheese dressing. We also ordered two glasses of Cava which came out cold and bubbly. Just a really great lunch! The service from Ama was extremely delightful. She was so attentive and welcoming! Everything we ordered was amazing . First I must say don't miss happy hour for $1 OYSTERS !! Apparently happy hour is 7 days a week so considering it is walking distance from me I will be back often. I'm just now realizing I took absolutely no pictures lol I checked in and was able to get the chik pea fries for free which were surprisingly delish . We also ordered the calamari as an app which was lightly fried and not too heavy . 3/5 of us ordered the lobster roll which you can either get warm with butter or cold with a Tabasco lime sauce . I have zero tolerance for douche food but rly like my lobster rolls cold so I went with cold . The sauce had great flavor and was not spicy at all . My grandpa got the ribs which came two sides and they were huge and he basically cleaned his plate so I'm guessing he enjoyed it . Lastly I had the "pretty in pink " since you can't have happy hour with out a drink or two. The drink Prosecco , tequila and cranberry. New England style restaurants always reminded me of home which meant I had to try this place. We came during happy hour so of course we took advantage of the $1 oysters and they were delicious! My boyfriend got some wings that he enjoyed. We both had the fish and chips for our entree and it was delicious! Big pieces of fish, freshly fried served with scrumptious fries. What nice restaurant let's you get happy hour in the dining room?! So we quickly ordered. But then after our waitress was long gone I saw something else on the happy hour menu I wanted. She magically knew I was looking for her and reappeared and then right at 7:00pm let me place another order off the happy hour menu. I lended up with a lovely inexpensive meal. I then splurged on the donuts for dessert and wowwww AMAZING. So glad our waitress recommended them. Truly incredible. Living in DC, my parents are in town. I wanted a place that offered seafood brunch but needed accessible parking because they can't walk very far Also didn't want a long wait. Was drawn in by the New England themed menu (all of us being from the Boston area). Was able to park across the street, make a reservation. They have a very nice selection for food on the menu. Very much enjoyed the lobster Benedict and fried oyster Benedict. My step father stated that the French toast and bacon was very good, "If anything, they gave me too much." I've enjoyed the mussels and grilled bread the most, and have also ordered & enjoyed the chickpea fries, fried oysters, and fish & chips. The romaine & kale cesar salad is also delicious, with chicken skin cracklings for a unique, crunchy twist. They also make a great mule cocktail. I've heard it's half black owned also...winner!
