My first experience was not great but I read a APP story about the young man and how he spent his college money on this bagel store so I wanted to give it another try. Unfortunately, it was terrible. I went today, a Sunday, at 9AM and it was empty. Under previous management the store would have been packed. I ordered my everything bagel with cream cheese. The first thing I noticed was the Bagel was the size of a hockey puck. I mean ridiculously small. There was hardly any cream cheese on it and I don't know how it's possible but it had absolutely no taste. How do you make an everything bagel that has no taste? Unless this young man makes some drastic changes fast I'm afraid he's not going to make it in this business. read more

I had high hopes, everyone on base raved about All Star so I tried it. Horrible. These bagels are so tiny,thin and just not a Jersey bagel. I barely had any cream cheese on my bagels. 27 dollars for crap. Plus, I was about to pay and the woman at the register yells back how much my platter was, and I see her mouthing something to the guy in the back. So unprofessional, uncomfortable and makes me think they switch their prices to each person. Also, it was 7 in the morning and barely any bagels out and they were still baking them....why?? If they had a rush, they wouldn't last 20 customers. The bagel shop I grew up going to were up at 2 am and had an entire inventory locked and ready to go for morning rush. First time in all star with the new owner. Inside of the restaurant was nice, the service was great. The food on the other hand wasn't. Compared to what it used to be the bagels were not as good the bacon wasn't crispy, the pork roll was decent. But what got me was when I opened up my sandwich I didn't realize that were would be an ounce of grease in the small package that my sandwich was wrapped in that spilled on my sweat pants. They are now completely ruined and the stain won't come out. Definitely have some sort of warning that an ounce of liquid hot grease may spill on you and ruin your clothes. Just moved to the area, this place is right by my house. Service was quick and the staff is pretty cool and really friendly. Ordered the standard pork roll, egg & cheese sandwich, it didn't come toasted, so I'll have to ask next time. That being said, the bagel was super light and soft. Very yummy! They have a nice variety of flavors, including French Toast, which you don't see everywhere. All in all a nice little joint, worth giving it a shot! read more

Customer Service is the "iceberg" that sinks this new business. I have eaten here at least twice a month since it opened. I am generally satisfied with the food, but by 9AM, the selection of bagels are slim and not as fresh as when they first opened. Coffee canisters have been found empty many times, seemingly unchecked with up to five employees behind the counter looking at each other. My LAST visit I walked in to order a bagel sandwich at 12:45 PM on a Saturday. They close at 1:00 PM and I was turned away after being told the grill was off for the day. The is a customer service FAIL! You clean all the burners, leaving one on until closing, you check the coffee canisters every 10 minutes.... I shouldn't have to tell them how to run their business. I took my family and my money to another location on Rt 70.. that cooks until they're actually closed. I will never return and although my $20 purchase a week will only put a little dent in their business... I hope they take this review and steer clear of the iceberg that is dead ahead. I will not be returning to this business when there are several better choices available that are interested in my business. read more

I couldn't be happier with this place! The staff could not be friendlier! Always sweet and personable... The bagels are awesome (esp French Toast!) and the Veggie spread is to die for! I usually get there after church (12:30 ish) so I rarely expect to find much selection and since they are very busy, I don't always get to indulge in my favs. That's my problem going late, not theirs! I need to change churches and a very real obstacle is that I enjoy going to this place quite frequently afterwards and will miss that! read more

Delicious bagels and a wide variety to choose from! Always a wait but usually well worth it, sometimes they're not too generous with the flavored cream cheese depending who makes your bagel.
