If i cant get to Joes this is a good not so quick hit. They are much better since they sold/changed staff a few years back. Original people were horrible. Lines can get crazy just have to hit them at the right time. Nice open place and coffee is decent. read more

I went to the new location in Ft Monmouth this morning. Paid $7.75 for a bagel with butter and a coffee. Service was not overly friendly. Atmosphere was okay just because it's new. Bagels just meh. Coffee wasn't great. Definitely not worth almost $8! Next time I'll save myself money and the trip and have a Lenders bagel at home. Or continue going to more reasonable prices and better bagel shops in the area. read more

They know what they're doughing! Bagels are my favorite breakfast so I've tried all sorts of bagels. This shop's sundried tomato bagel and vegetable cream cheese were delicious and among the best I've ever had. My husband's vegetable omelette bagel sandwich was also amazing. So good we bought an extra half dozen bagels to bring home. And the coffee! Love their iced coffee. We'll def be back whenever we visit Point Pleasant! read more

PROS: This is now my favorite bagel shop in all of Point Pleasant. Their menu has the largest variety, prices are unbeatable, very spacious inside, and also very clean. Decent amount of parking as well CONS: They overload the bagels with the topping of your choice. If you ask for Peanut butter, creme cheese, or anything else they put a 1 inch layer of it on the bagel which makes a mess. I get that you get the best bang for your buck, but a little less would be nice OVERALL: I'm absolutely coming back here when im in the area and im hungry for breakfast. Service is not in their philosophy, apparently- so here's what happened: I go in at a time when there's no one except a few orders called in, late morning. The man (owner?) takes my order of bagel with butter and another with cc and hands two bagels to the one girl doing ALL the orders at the front. He stood there with his gloves on, next to another girl, both doing absolutely nothing while first girl worked her tail off to fulfill all the orders and I stood there about to be late for an appt bc my two bagels took almost 20 minutes to smear. I asked him why so long and he stood there saying 'she's getting to it.' Really? And what are you two doing? There's a tip jar for 'THE CREW.' It should say "FOR THE ONLY CHICK WHO DOES ANY WORK HERE; but manager is an entitled loser, but your bagels elsewhere". Never again. UNREAL! read more

Really deserves 3.5. Place was great size so even when crowded you won't feel squished. Bagels were solid. Breakfast sandwiches could have used more cheese melt and pork roll cooked bit more. You're better off going to McDonalds. The platter looked like a kids meal with two eggs a frozen hash brown square and 1.5 hockey puck sausages for almost $16. Dog friendly establishment which is great because my groomer at Over the Moon Dog Grooming is right next door! I asked for crispy pork roll, they nailed it. The staff is always pleasant and helpful with any requests or questions! There are a few little tables which in a rainy day was peaceful to sit and watch the rain drops. It's a great place for a bagel or breakfast sandwich, but it didn't live up to the hype on Yelp. My Taylor Ham and egg sandwich was good. Good enough, but that's about it. No "wow" factor. The bagels are of the big, bulky style. Lots of varieties and even a rainbow colored one. Wonder what's in it? I know I didn't toast the bagel, but even a normal untoasted bagel doesn't have texture like theirs. The wait time is long., the bagel portion is big, the price is high, could be over 7 bucks if you add some contents inside the bagel. This is our second time trying this place. The first time was through a delivery service. They were out of the items and told me that I had to cancel the order on my end. Anyone who orders through delivery services knows the customer still pays a portion if they initiate the cancellation. I told the business this and they argued. They then repeat called me and left messages to request that I cancel. Really unprofessional. I was willing to let it go (maybe they were new to using the service) and try again. This time we received our food... but we're very confused. Plain bagel with cinnamon butter wasn't toasted and was just butter with pure cinnamon sprinkled on top. The cheddar bagel was an egg bagel with a slice of unmelted cheddar cheese on top. Reminds me of cheap/lazy kitchen concoctions I made as a kid. Lol. I understand how you can run low sometimes on one bagel or another but when you are completely out of everything on a weekend when you know you're gonna be busy I think you would try to do something to make sure that doesn't happen. The pricing is definitely high. I understand you have a good product and it's the season but be fair. If you know you're gonna be busy on the weekends, staff up. Be able to handle the crowd.
