If you care about covid don't come to this place. George won't wear a mask and also when I asked him he said No, and I asked him if at least he is vaccinated and he was really rude and said "and do you believe in that shit ?" in an aggressive way. You can't be that rude with a client you can always say "no, I'm sorry, you are welcome to leave if you don't like it", and you can avoid this review. You never know what's the client story and if they have relatives or fiends who died of covid or so, you just can't be rude or aggressive. First as soon as I walked in I said hi and no one responded. Waited to make eye contact with the only one barber working on someone and he finally saw me and said "yes" after I asked if they were open. I asked because there was a sign at the door saying closed, but three open sign was lit up and the schedule said 8pm closing. It was 6pm. Another guy came out about 5 min later and just pointed at his chair. I sat down and told him I just wanted it a tapered side from 1-1 1/2. It looked okay after he finished in about 7 minutes. I got home and I noticed there visible seams running horizontally around my head, as he didn't blend it at all...and there were longer strands sticking out near the top. Overall a rushed and messy job. During the haircut he even answered a phone call and continued to talk with the phone wedged between his head and shoulder while still cutting my hair. I came in on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30ish. The sign said they closed at 3:00pm. I brought my son in begging to get his hair fixed since a salon up the street butchered his hair. They were kind enough to accommodate us. I was so pleased with the end result. It was such a relief that they were sympathetic and fixed my sons hair! read more

Uggh. Where do I start? I walk in and there's two guys cutting hair. Not one of them says hi to me. I wait about ten minutes and one client is finished with his hair cut, walks out and another guys drives in and takes a seat. I'm baffled. They still have not even acknowledged me. I walk out in complete shock about the poor customer service. After taking two steps out the door one of the barbers tells me they are appointment only. Excuse me?! Why didn't you tell me that while I was sitting and waiting for a haircut??. He said the other barber will finish soon and he could take me. However instead of charging me $12 he would charge me $15. I have been been cutting my hair with sev for over 4 years now as a loyal customer i will follow him to any shop he decides to move to. All Star Barbershop is by far one of the nicer barbershops i have ever been to. This place is huge and the barbers are not crammed into eachother. Who ever set this place up has some taste. They carry a large variety of hair care products from hair gels to razors and pomades. They also sell trimmers for the at home beard touch ups. Parking is never a problem here its huge!! They also have a back parking lot with the entrance directly behind the building(alley). Now for my barber.. I love the way sev cuts my hair as he takes his time and never rushes any hair cuts. Been cutting my hair with Sev for over 5 years and he recently set up shop at All Star Barbershop. First off, the location is very spacious, clean, and relaxing (idk about you, but a haircut is a chance for me to kickback and relax for a bit). The place features its own vending machine, in case you're craving a Monster or need a coffee before you continue about your day. Secondly, Sev is easily one of the best barbers in LA. He's attentive to detail and isn't afraid to take his time to make sure you're satisfied with your cut. We walked in without an appointment. My first Impressions were that the place was clean, spacious and inviting. I approached one of the barbers and asked if they can have my child's hair cut soon. They were friendly and George said he will do it as soon as he finishes the client he was working on. While waiting I observed how they cut other mens' hair and I really liked the swiftness they worked with. George asked me how would we like my child's hairstyle and did what we asked for. The results were awesome, service was quick and fairly priced $12. The parking is relatively easy since there are enough spaces, in the shopping complex. read more

I was driving by on San Fernando Rd and saw the Grand Opening sign and I was due for a cut. So I decided to stop by and give it a shot. George (the barber) was very welcoming and attentive. There was 1 person getting a cut and I was next. He got a clear understanding of how I wanted to get my hair cut and cut it exactly the way I requested. I was very pleased with the Customer service friendliness and his ability to cut my hair the way I wanted it. Cost is only $12 so it's pretty cost effective as well. I'm an avid Yelp user but have never felt the need to write a review. That said, my experience at this place was so wrong I had to write one. I took my 5 year old son in for a hair cut. When we arrived all 3 barbers were cutting hair. We waited about 30 minutes (which is no easy feat with an active 5 year old boy). While waiting two other people walked in. All three barbers finished at the same time. My son and I got up and walked to the first barber who motioned us to go to the one next to him. That barber said one of the two other guys waiting had an appointment. That was questionable as the other guys obviously knew the barber based on how they had been chatting with each other, but whatever. So we turned back to the first barber who then also said that he had an appointment. Now I knew something was not right. I could tell what the third barber was going to say before I even asked, but I asked anyway. The answer was, "I have an appointment." No one else was in the place at the time, but that was his response. I'm glad my son was with me otherwise I probably would have said something regrettable. It was obvious that we made the wrong choice in coming to this place so I just cut my losses (and wasted time) and politely said, "okay", and walked out the door. I've lived in Glendale over 13 years and not once in that time have I felt excluded from anything because I'm not Armenian until coming to this place. Did I mention everyone in the shop only spoke Armenian, until they refused us service. That they told us in English. This place is wrong. No stars.
