My hair was blown out with no styling, which I was okay with since I didn't want to pay for any additional services. I came in with hair length past my shoulders to mid-back. Ana states that I had a 4 hour service when Armen started on my hair at 2:10pm (my appointment was at 1:45pm but he was busy with another client) I got up out of that chair at 4:56pm... how is that 4 hours? Clearly the people that run this business don't know a thing about numbers. The lady that was there on Sunday 6/29 when I went to get toner again (as Armen advised) told me "oh yes toner would have been free if you would've stayed the same day of your appointment but today will be $70 ." The toner only took 20 minutes! plus why did I have to get it done the same day as first service for it to be free and when you yourself, Ana, said "we could always add more toner if it's too light". The lady that was there Sunday also stated the blow dry is $50 dollars, the people here don't even know what's being advertised lol or how much to charge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Like I said, I never asked for the blow dry Armen insisted and I said ok after he asked me the 3rd time and I said yes to help him out cause he said he wanted to take pictures (which I understand he wants to promote his work) Ana took pictures and video on her phone for Armen[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The blow dry took about 20-25 minutes. This is why this place is on its last leg. Maybe stick to your prices and your word and your employees and clients won't end up leaving. read more

I've never done anything with my hair before so I was pretty nervous to finally commit to balayage. This was also my first time at the Look Hair Salon as well. Appointment: I was able to make an appointment within the week for the first time slot on Saturday at 10am. Because the cost of the service would come out to more than $100, I paid a $50 deposit over the phone when I made the appointment, which got deducted from the final bill at payment. Stylist: I had Rubina and she was extremely kind and professional. Since it was my first time getting my hair colored, I had a lot of questions and she was so reassuring and knowledgeable. It definitely put me at ease and I really trusted her opinion and expertise when it came to the cut and color. I came in with one "inspiration" photo that she was able to match pretty well and made suggestions along the way to better match my face. Cost: Everything was exactly as written on the website, which is incredibly reasonable for the high quality. Keep in mind that you pay separately for color, cut, style, and olaplex treatment. I've been coming here for over 10 years and it's sad to see Rubina who did my hair is no longer there. I loved my highlights and I know that they keep an index card with all the details of all my visits and what she uses to do my partial highlights. I returned and gave it a try and so the lady who did my hair didn't speak English so another person (I think the owner) explained the partial highlights. She put the foil in pretty fast. After being under the heat and then wash, unfortunately my hair was orange and brassy. I asked the owner kindly to fix it because I don't want to drive back again because I live in OC. I think they dyed my hair in the sink cause I can tell that my dark hair is now this weird brown color and the highlights got lighter but it's still not how I wanted it. Even after a couple washes, the owner said it would get lighter but it still looks gold and brassy. It's really ugly and I'm unhappy with my hair. I have spots that look like cheetah where the colors are all uneven. She didn't even try to touch the roots!!!! See photos. Prices have gone up too. Which I can understand. This is my second or third time here! I remember when they opened a few years ago when I was looking for a reasonably priced haircut. The last time I came here was in 2017 and today I came and had the same hair dresser. Her name is Rubina! She does such an amazing and quick job. She listens carefully to what you ask for. Last time I got a shorter cut but it came out fabulous, and this time I wanted long layers and volume added to my hair. She was able to do the job fast and it was exactly what I wanted. This review is long overdue. I cannot help but express my gratitude for the number of great haircuts I've received from Valentin. I specifically always ask for her because she has technique, is great company, and always leaves me feeling refreshed and handsome. My haircut looks the very best about a week and a half after and has always been this way. I have shaggy, thick, wavey hair and my best word of advice is just to trust the process, even if you feel it's a little short at first... Give it a week and a half till you give yourself the opportunity to fully judge it. (This applies to any haircut you get anywhere.) I'm very analytical and sometimes I need to remind myself to surrender and trust, however, Valentin makes this easy because she always gets it right. Great hair salon in Glendale. Been coming here for about 10 years. They have great hair stylists who are knowledgeable and great at cutting hair. I go for a zero fade once a week and I am always happy with the result. They also do women's hair too, so when the kids need their hair done, we still go to the same family salon. After making an appointment a week in advance, once we got there they made us wait for so long. The hairstylist went scissor crazy and cut a long bob as requested into a short bob with layers. The lady at the front desk was so rude to all the clients that would come in and she ended up charging us $45 extra for a few curls?????? When we said that was extreme she got the worst attitude and said it was our fault. She even said what if it was $200 you would still have to pay? As I explained a $200 haircut would not be in a salon next to Starbucks and a fast food place. Plus they didn't wash or give any $200 service. The worst service, cut and experience. This place has gone under. Really bad service and had no idea what I wanted for a cut. They couldn't translate to my stylist what I wanted. When we got things going it was a complete mess they chopped my hair and my bangs were horrible she didn't even part it right when I tried to tell her she said it will look better trusted her and she tried to fix the problem with gel it was bad. I would like to start with I'm not a person who cares enough to usually write a review. Sometimes it can be a bad day and let me tell you yesterday was a terrible day for me. I came in with gorgeous long hair that I've been meaning to get trimmed for 3 months. However, I was never in the mood to get it done. Yesterday felt like the day and I went to this salon. I've been going to this salon for over 5 years. I get my haircuts here and I use to get my hair colored here. I've recommended friends and family here and they've loved it. I come in with extremely long and wavy hair. I sat down and told her that I wanted to just cut it 2 inches and get front face framing layers. I told her I'd like to wash my hair so it can be even and she touches my hair and goes it's okay. She bunches all my hair together and I can hear here butchering my hair. I can hear 3 chunky cuts and she shoves part of my hair in the front. She tilts my head to both sides while she cuts more. While doing no comparison to the back. She proceeded to do my front layers and she only did one side. At this point, I can tell my hair is just horrendous. I'm just waiting for her to stop. When she believes she's finish, she puts all my hair to the front and she's like it's good? I look at my hair and it's significantly uneven and shorter than I asked for. This could possibly be due to her lack of skill and her correcting. My hair in the front or outer most layer is about maybe an inch longer than the back and inner layer. Oh I didn't ask for any layers only the front...which technically should be shorter...I tell her it's uneven and she puts the longer layer in front to hide the uneven part and goes it's okay. At this point, I was done with her. I pay quickly with cash and run out to my car. I drive to a beauty store and I'm thinking I can maybe salvage it. I ask the brutally honest and helpful store associate and she's tells me how uneven my hair is and I need to go to another salon to get it fixed.. but I'll need to cut more which upsets me cause I like my hair long. Touching my hair is sad. You can feel the unevenness. Honestly, I'm never coming back here. I've already told all my friends and family who were regulars here because of me about what happened. I'll be converting them to a new salon. The worst part is that she tells me I have such beautiful hair before she mauled it. read more

The staff was very sloppy about wearing masks. The 3 stylists rudely speak in a another language around clients, even though they can speak English. You get the feeling they're talking about you! I asked for a trim and got what I'd call a "chop job". My hair does not lay nicely at all after the cut. Stylist took large sections at a time and just chopped away. The other part of my service was color. I explained and showed pictures but what I got was not even close. Meanwhile, they were all talking among themselves in a language I barely understood, and then they all chimed in (in English) trying to convince me that was the best color for me! The water was freezing cold at the start of the rinse, after which it got too hot. The sink and chair arrangement is totally uncomfortable. When I got home there was dried, caked, un-rinsed color at the nape of my neck and near my ears. I kept the mask on but she didn't bother to lift and rinse under the straps! No skin protectant was used before applying color. The whole experience was the worst lack of professionalism I've ever seen. Liz was my stylist and I will never return to this salon. I didn't see any of the stylists which are pictured on their website. In fact, I had to double check to be sure I have the correct shop! Absolutely horrible experience. Asked for 4 inches off long hair and cut long layers. I received a short bob with no style. I was devastated. I've never gotten such a horrible haircut. Some people may say "it's only hair", but I now have to go around with a haircut I hate. If she couldn't do what I requested I wish she would have said so. I have my daughter's birthday party coming up and I won't want to take any pictures. This affects people's lives.
