Super deceptive ads. They've sent out 2 mailers in the past month that make it seem very clear that you won money, but it is not real. See photo attached. They told me "the codes and arrows mean nothing" and to "read the fine print." I bought a van from All Star last year and it was a very pleasant experience. I received a recall notice in the mall and called to make an appointment. The appointment was easy to schedule and was able to get in a week after calling. I drove to service area bay, checked in and left my car. The service advisor Megan was very professional and helpful. I was sent a text with a tracker to see status of the van, however since it was a recall it did not update as it usually would. I can't stand lying, deceptive, misleading, misrepresentin' m-f's, esp. in business--which is where most of them seem to gravitate toward. This ALL STAR CDJR is a big used car dealership in Bridgeton at 11503 St. Charles Rock Rd., and they send out these huge, full-color mailer cards (Must cost them thousands to do a mailer like that.) whenever they have a "special event." (Translation: "We want your money, so we're gonna make you THINK we're gonna give you some money with our funky lil' "$100,000 Prize Is Right Game." Yeah, it's a "game" all right--a CON game.) The front has 6 perforated tear strips (2 columns, 3 rows), hiding 6 series of symbols like a slot machine. If you match the 6 symbols in any of the 3 rows, across from each row is the key that says, "PREFERRED CUSTOMER." (What a joke.) "PULL OPEN ALL TABS ON CARD. MATCH ACROSS TO WIN." Across from my "winning symbols"--3 dollar bills in each column--it says "$1000 CASH." So I go in there--wasting my time and gas--and told an employee, "I'm here for my $1000 prize." He said, "Yes sir, let me get you somebody to help you"--and they made me wait 10 minutes. I finally had to go to the counter and ask the guy if they were on their way because I had other stops. He sends me over to a table where a woman had been sitting for minutes with no customer there. (I saw her during my 10-minute break from good customer service.) So I sit down and said something like "I'd like to get this rolling, I have other places to go." (Paraphrased from memory. Everything is recorded, BTW, on my DVR that I keep on me and turn on whenever I go into a public place.) I think she asked me "What would you like to do?" or "How can I help you?" or something, clearly disinterested in me, didn't offer me her name or ask for mine. I told her I was there to get the $1000 I won in their game. (The following is paraphrased from memory:) "Where does it say that you won anything?" "Right there, on the front of the card. $1000." "Where does it say that you won $1000?" I pointed out the key to her. "That doesn't say you won anything. Now use your intelligence, and show me where it says you won anything." (She was extremely cold, rude, and condescending. The only reason I didn't tell her off and say there's no need for sarcasm or condescension is that I didn't want to louse up my chances of winning. Now I see it wouldn't have mattered, the whole thing is rigged to begin with.) Then she rips the tear-strip card off the card it was stuck to and says, "Read that line, what does it say?" She pointed to some tiny print under the card that I hadn't seen. I read it: "ORDER OF WINNING SYMBOLS DOES NOT MATCH ORDER OF WINNING PRIZES." WTF does that even f***ing mean? "SERIAL NUMBER DETERMINES ACTUAL PRIZE WON." "Read the fine print." I told her "I did read the fine print. All it says is the odds of winning." And she points to the serial number and circles it with her pen, and says I have to look it up on the board. (It's in smaller print than the caveat. I saved the mailer and had taken a picture of it and made a photocopy of it, in case something like this were to go down, as I suspected might.) My number was not on the board, at the bottom of which it said something like "ALL OTHER NUMBERS WILL RECEIVE A SCRATCHER CARD." I told her I was gonna report this to the Attorney General. "Go ahead, it's all been approved." I stormed out yelling what a bunch of bogus bulls**t it was. I was looking forward to that grand, as foolish as that may have been to think they'd actually honor a winning customer and run a legitimate game where, if a customer has the winning symbol and it says right across from it that you've won $1000, they would pay you $1000. My point being, long story long: I wouldn't trust a dealership where they treat a customer like that, would you? The "used car salesman" persona, almost anywhere you go, has always been depicted as a shady, mistrusted character for about the past 80 years--with good reason. They live off of their commissions and every sale counts. They're always hungry to make even one sale a day. And they let these crooked, misleading, misrepresenting games be run at their business. (A lot of car dealers run these promotions. They're actually run by companies that travel all over the country--like the carnival snake oil sellers who used to prey on people's gullibility.) If this is the kind of promotional sales event they have--with shady, misleading rules and reg.'s obviously intended to suck you in under false pretenses, and then treat you rudely, condescendingly, and coldly, expressing their obvious disinterest in you as a customer or potential customer or who might have a cousin needing a car--how are they gonna treat you on a service issue or a refund if the vehicle doesn't work out or just basic common decency? read more

Absolute worst new car buying experience I have ever had! The sales team was not very knowledgeable about the offers, promotions, and rebates available for the vehicle I purchased. Since the purchase, I have been trying to rectify an issue I had with the federal electric vehicle rebate program. It has now been 5 months since I purchased the vehicle and the team at All Star has yet to fix the issue. They are also very poor communicators and difficult to get a hold of. TERRIBLE customer service. Scheduled an 8am appt days in advance for a Monday morning, dropped the car off the evening before, only to have no one even look at my car until the following afternoon. No one bothered to even call me. After repeated attempts to call trying to find out the status of my car with either no response, being sent to voicemail mail, or "we'll call you back" it wasn't until 3 o'clock the following day they called to say they had just begun looking at my car and wouldn't be done until the next day. No apologies were given, no offer for a loaner car, no accountability whatsoever taken by anyone I spoke with. When I picked up the car, still absolutely no apologies or accountability. Purchased a 2024 Wagoneer working with Jayshawn sale agent, he was super busy with other sales that same day so he passed us along to MJ. MJ was nice and pleasant saying he was getting back into the sales part of things. So we finally decided on a vehicle and he kept saying how he would try and help us make our decision. Said we would get a $1,000 gift card and Jayshawn also stated in agreement with him as "it was the deal they have right now." Then when purchasing the vehicle the guy cleaning the car noticed a dent to the rear passenger door, sales said "it's okay they'll cover it and get it fixed soon as possible just set the appointment" Fast forward. We had to wait 28 days til we were able to pick up the title along with the extra key, no one called us to update when we could pick up the documents and key, I had to call weekly leaving many voicemails. Then on day 27 getting an answer saying "yes pick it up today!" So no communication with anyone! Then regarding the door dent I made an appointment to have it serviced and get it completed! They acted like it was such a big surprise, it has to be done by another auto body shop that's connected to them but has to go to another location. Saying the part can take several weeks to arrive, so appointment set for a "tentative date" and guess what? Nothing! having to reschedule then was told "Dustin the manager would call me!" Haven't heard from him yet, not even regarding the gift card he was "supposed" to talk with MJ and Jayshawn about! Literally was calling Jayshawn, MJ and requesting return calls sending emails regarding the gift card, no response ever. Finally spoke with Dustin when dropping my vehicle off to be serviced for the door, he said "it's only $50! And the deal is gone! No way they said that, and he will talk to them about it and will send something In the mail" nothing in the mail, no response on why that was communicated, nothing! The communication is horrible. Wish we went ANYWHERE ELSE instead cause the continuous let down experience we continue to receive from them is horrible! I will never purchase another vehicle from them! Service! No one really that eager to help. The lady that did greet me did not really seem like she wanted to help me, plus was very rude when I was asking why they charge 200 some dollars just to look at your car to see what's wrong with it. Understandable they need to make money, but when I just want to know what's wrong with my car when it's something small and quick I shouldn't have to pay for them just to look at it for five minutes. It was nighttime when I picked up the car they said was mine. I had never seen the blue in person, and it was too dark to tell the color was incorrect. 2. Their first excuse is I "said I'd take grey". NO. If that was the case, I wouldn't have signed the paper stating I'd purchase the blue when they got it in stock. They said they couldn't find that paper. (how convenient.) 3. Their second excuse is I waited too long to complain. NO. I called immediately. I picked up the vehicle on Oct. 12th. You backdated the paperwork so I could qualify for the Chrysler September deal. 4. The third excuse is the vehicle was no longer considered 'new' as it had over 500 miles on it. Of course it did...because you sold it to me with 485 miles on it!! (as per the title) 5. Better Business Bureau tried to mediate this, since All Star refused to make this sale good. The only option All Star offered was for me to trade-in the car for a different one. No way I was doing business with you again. So... YES. All-Star FORCES CUSTOMERS TO TAKE VEHICLES THEY DO NOT WANT. Again, love my 300. But All-Star treated me horribly and unfairly. I was led to believe a Second key and referral bonus was apart of my purchase and would arrive in the mail with registration papers. After having my vehicle for almost a month I only received registration papers. When I spoke to one of the managers over the phone, (at this time I will not disclose his name) he assured everything would be taken care of and booked me an appointment to have the window / body coat applied, and check why my service engine light had come on. At that appointment another manager told me they would not honor the verbal agreements because it was not on the " what we owe you page" of the deal. At purchase day i waited for about 2 hours for them to "get the car ready." I suppose that was just a wash and vacuum, because when they brought it to me to drive off the lot, the tire pressure in the 20's and a half tank of gas. This was my second vehicle purchase from them this year in 2020. Surprisingly the first purchase 2020 Gladiator had a similar issue with no spare key, put they eventually supplied me with one. I have had my car for almost 4 years now and the USB went out. I called to get an appointment because I HAVE an extended warranty and so I called to see about getting an appointment. The girl I spoke with said it would be $250.00 diagnostic just for them to look at the car because "their guys have to get paid". I told her I have an extended warranty and her reply was that she doesn't know if it is covered until they look at it. I asked then will I be reimbursed when they find out it is covered and she said no. So, now I am stuck with a relatively brand new car with $23k miles on it and no way to charge my phone because I'm not paying $250.00 just to have them look at it. They have zero customer service after the sale. This will be my last Jeep even though I love my salesperson, Scott. They don't care about the customer because they don't have to. read more

Died in downtown STL. It goes from Bad to Worse. First time they looked at it said it needed two new fuel pumps. $2200. Ok fix it. Good news, only needed one pump so only $1600. Car now runs. Gas guage didn't work when we got it back (don't they even check anything?) My daughter (lives in STL) takes the car back in (we took home her car from college) and they say it will need that 2nd fuel pump. No extra labor just the part. Take it in and leave it, Good News, doesn't need the 2nd fuel pump it was something else. In Hannibal now to get car back to Iowa. Got the car from my daughter. Get car back and gas gauge still doesn't work. (Must not have checked this again after being made aware of it the first time). Get car back to Iowa and take it to local dealer who tells us it's going to need that second pump. All Star had it twice and didn't do this. My guess is the second time they didn't actually do anything since they would have to spend 5 hours taking the fuel tank off/on. All Star also pinched the fuel harness assembly wires when they did put the tank back on causing damage. So I had to shell out another $1100 to get the second fuel pump in that they should have put in the first time. There was also an oil leak in the engine they didn't check/catch. Worked with Ben in service and he called me back maybe half the time I left a message. Sent a message to head service person never heard back. Sent several messages through website never heard back. They were about 4 for 10 on returning calls/messages. Asked if they would compensate me for labor for putting second pump in and it was crickets. Now if they put up some message that they are sorry and I should contact them that's just them trying to save face and look good. Contacted them plenty of times and never responded. I purchased my used vehicle November of 2021. The check engine light came on the night I drove it home. They supposedly repaired the issue however they only bandaged the problem. The department of motor vehicle informed me that the vehicle did not pass inspection when it was sold to me. This experience has been horrible and very unsettling. I've been dealing with the same issues with the check engine light for months now. I've taken my vehicle back several times and paying for repairs yet the light is back on. It's only been bandaged for months now. My vehicle was returned to me after 4 days on Friday the next day Saturday March 26th the light was back on. Had the worst time, I've EVER had with a service dept. Initially, took my charger here for a windshield recall and what should have taken less than a day took over a week. The day they were supposed to checkout the windshield adhesive, they said the windshield "shattered" upon taking it out and then they had to order a new windshield for the charger. Which I was not forthright told about. I had to call them almost at the end of their work day for an update on my car's readiness for pickup and I was then told the status. I was also given a black challenger rental to hold while they were fixing my car, but the challenger wreaked of weed!! Also, the car barely wanted to start every morning I had to drive it and the heat wouldn't turn on until the car decided to. The buttons on the display wouldn't fully work for the heat and it was freezing outside, so I had to suffer while driving it. It took over a week, just to get my charger back because the company that was to replace it, didn't show up one day based off of snow, which would push me getting my car the following week as it was now approaching the weekend, eventhough I was told by George they would be able to get it that day. I would have been okay with this, if I didn't have to be the one to constantly call for updates on the status. Once my charger was ready for pick up, I noticed there was a scratch on my dashboard and it was from when they replaced the windshield. Outside of the scratch, my driver side floor mats/door had boot marks on it from snow/dirt that weren't mines because when I dropped my car off, it hadn't snowed yet. The fact that George/whoever was willing to return my car to me dirtier than what I gave to them was disrespectful. I was then introduced to Aaron, the service manager and showed him the problem with the dash and i showed him the dirt/snow inside my car. He immediately took it back for a washing/cleaning and then told me they had to order the dash, which took abt 3 to 4 weeks to come in. When I came to get the dash replaced, it took a couple of hours eventhough I had an early morning appt. After it was complete, that week I noticed my car display would black out off and on and I thought it had to be because wires were loose from when they replaced my dash, but after that first week the blacking out/restart of the display stopped. Now, today, I go to get my car inspected for emissions and they tell me my wires are too loose by the pedals that they aren't sure it'll pass inspection. And this is a 2021! They asked if someone had been down there and I told them abt All-Star Dodge and the dash replacement. The inspection team said they didn't replace the wires back/hook them up correctly because none of them should be hanging and that is a danger hazard and can mess up my car completely. Today, I called the service dept and found out Aaron no longer works there and left a message for Carla, as the Service Dept needs to take a look at their work for the wires of my car based off the replacement of my dash! read more

Do not give this place the time of day much less your business. Strap in. This might get a little rough. I have just "completed" my new purchase. This is my third and last car that I will buy from this place. I am going to attempt to be brief. My Charger needed a $2000 headlight repair, yes that is not a typo. Higher mileage, so decided that it was a good time to trade in. I went on line searched for what I wanted to try and purchase. Stumbled across this Durango. Nice price, had most everything I wanted on it so I went for the deal. Took a test drive, worked the deal no problems, lowered my payments, we even had home delivery due to Covid. This was great. Signed all the paperwork at home and this is where things fell apart. Salesman was supposed to contact me to set an appointment to complete the deal, (More on this in a minute) that didn't happen. Ok chalked this up to weird times, contacted him to set appointment, he didn't remember the deal, got it scheduled. Next. I set an appointment with DMV to take care of registration. Get there and the dealership screwed up paperwork so car could not be registered. I went back to dealership immediately to get this fixed. Again salesman had no clue who I was or remembered the deal. I explained the problem and gave him my expectations, nothing big just paperwork corrected and any penalties taken care of, to which he stated that it sounded reasonable. He took the paperwork had gave it to someone to be corrected, a little while later someone who turned out to be a manger came out and "shoved" paperwork in my face and walked away. No apologies, nothing. Irishman is not happy at this point and shared his thoughts to anyone who might have been within 10 ft of him, while maintaining social distances of course. Manager attempted to kiss ass and make up, but it didn't really fly with me, he did agree to cover any penalties incurred. Car registered, no penalties. Car brought back for add ins to complete deal. I was to get a loaner. They wanted a credit card, for this. I asked why as this was to be included in the deal. I was told and i quote "to make sure you don't trash the car". Irishman reappeared. I gave explicit instructions not to change the look of the car. I was having a trailer hitch installed and did not want it through the bumper. I wanted it under the bumper and not to change the look of the car. Guess what. It didn't happen. They punched out a plate in the bumper and did exactly what I did not want. I asked for a zero dollar receipt when picking up the car, because at this point this place has earned my total lack of trust. I was then told that they cannot do that. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Took the car. Get in the car after walking around it to inspect it. Again earned no trust. No damage. Get in the car to leave. Radio station changed to a station I would NEVER listen to, air conditioning changed and played with, personal items went through, and discovered that most definitely that someone had been in the interior of the Durango for no reason, storage area in the back had been completely rearranged. Nothing missing, (that i can tell at this point) but none the less gone through. So. All-Star. All I have to say is and peace out. You have done nothing to build your business with this deal going forward. I will be going through the car with a fine tooth comb and if I discover that anything is missing, I will be contacting the police and a complaint wil be made. The service was definitely lacking. I went to All Star after finding a car of theirs on cars.com. The sales associate told me nothing about the car and could not answer my questions about the car except in the vaguest terms, like "the safety ratings are good." He didn't ask me what my car needs were or make additional suggestions. Luckily, we found the car online , and I was able to look up more about the car after test driving it. Which reminds me, the associate gave me the keys and set me off by myself to test drive the car alone, which I thought was awful because I don't know what to look for in a smooth driving car, & I didn't know what features the car had. Though maybe that is the practice at this dealership. Anyway, I feel like I did 100 percent of the selling myself. I would have preferred to do something more like 70 percent of the selling myself. What's more, the associate was very unenthusiastic. The finances associate was very abrasive and offended me. For example, when I try to read the fine print he told me I didn't need to, & with the way he said it I felt pressured not too. He may have realized I was put off in general, because he later tried to relate to me and develop a customer relationship. Finally, I thought I read online at the All Star website that we got a free carfax report, & I never got that, though I didn't clearly ask, either (forgot). Unless you find the perfect car online, like I did, I would recommend steering clear of All Star Dodge. read more

I purchased a new challenger. I was not given a application for title at time of purchase. You cannot license the car without it. Once it was mailed to me. The temporary plates had expired and I had to pay a late fee. I was told by the sales manager they would reimburse me. They have not reimbursed me. Part of the purchase agreement was the dealer would replace some brake components at their expense. The follow up and handling of the replacement of parts was terrible. Once the replacement was done. The job was not completed properly. Put my safety and others at risk. Parts were left off the car. I would not recommend All Star. read more

purchased a 2018 Jeep Wrangler for $35,000 I added over 3,000 worth of upgrades from the dealer. I had decided that I really missed having a truck, so I went there to see about trading it in. They offered me less than $28,000 for my trade, with I had only had for 5 months. I had also purchased the oil change package that was good for 2 years. I ended up trading the Jeep in at a different dealership for a new truck. I called to see if I could cancel the oil change package and get my money back since I never used it, they told me it was non-refundable and I would need to take the matter up with Chrysler which was never relayed to me. I called Chrysler they put me on hold for over 25 minutes and I never did get a hold of anyone. So look out for buying a vehicle from them obviously they are over pricing their vehicles by a ton. read more

If you are referred to this dealership, please RUN. I have had issues with getting my title after 3 months. When I did go to get my tags, the title was incorrect then the follow through was horrible. They try to give you the run around and expect you to listen. It happened to a personal associate of mine and then it happened to me. Even though my temp tags were expired, while I awaiting my title, I was told if I get pulled over to just let the police know that it's and issue with "tags." WTH- keep away if I am you. The sales team great very knowledgeable But after dealing with finance manager I see this place is the worst !!! Stay away !!!!! Go to another dealership not worth the time hassle and plan rudeness !!! read more

Go here if you would like your valuable time to be wasted. I was interested in a specific vehicle at All Star. I reached out via their website and Melissa Walker followed up with me via text message. On the 5th of September I let Melissa know that we would like to schedule an appointment at 9am on 9/7. She set up an appointment for me with Cory Johnson. This was confirmed via text and with a calendar invite to my gmail calendar of which I also confirmed. On 9/6 I sent a text to Melissa to see if I could come the evening before (had some time free up in my schedule) of which she told me that I would be unable to test drive the vehicle because "I just spoke to Cory and he informed me that he just sent the Wrangler back to the show to make sure all of the inspections were complete and up to date so it would be ready for you tomorrow and is currently not available to drive because of that." Ok, fair enough.. It was short notice and this, while seemingly fishy, was okay with me. I responded, "Ok. That is fine. So the car will be available tomorrow morning?" She responded, "It should be. We will let you know tonight if there is any hang up so you don't drive out here without it being ready." So I drove 2 hours the following morning for my appointment having not received any calls. When I showed up and met Cory Johnson he said to me... "Did Melissa tell you what's going on? The car threw a check engine light during a test drive yesterday and is in the shop until the part can be fixed." So.. I left and went and purchased another Wrangler, with cash, at another dealership. No follow up call from Cory. No follow up texts for the oh-so-helpful and professional, Melissa Walker... Stay away. If the dealership cannot handle simple customer service, what else will they botch in the process of purchasing a vehicle? read more

I took my car in for an oil change and to replace a headlight. (Chrysler 200 headlight replacement requires removal of the Air Filter Housing.) Price was reasonable, service was quick, the waiting area was clean and comfortable. And, most importantly: I didn't feel gouged, and (unlike Firestone, who replaced a bulb 3 years ago), they didn't damage the air-filter housing in the process. Keep up the good work! read more

If you don't want to buy a car, this is the place to visit! Came in, well aware I was upside down in trade. Sales rep and finance manager never followed up, I even told them I just needed to know how much i would need to put down. I'm a green tag customer. I had the down payment in savings. Lack of follow up made me shop elsewhere. Don't waste your time, your business isn't worth theirs. So let me start off by saying my experience in buying my Jeep Trailhawk was top notch by Matt back in 2014. Not once issue with him on this review. 4 years later here is why I've decided to write a review regarding this place. 1. the service shop isn't really all that great. Always trying to sell you on more crap than you actually need done or go in for. Then they always pull the "can you complete the survey for me?? Please give me a 10 because anything less than that doesn't really help me!" Then why the hell ask me to give you a review? I'm not giving you a 10 because I came in for a $50 oil change and you tried to get me to spend $700 on other crap I didn't need. Here is what really really drives me nuts about this place and why I will never purchase anything from them again. I've now been harassed by them for the last 2 years nonstop about selling my jeep back to them. I get calls several times a month from the 3rd party they hire to call trying to get me to buy a new jeep and they will pay me top $ for my 2014 jeep. I've ask them probably 50 times and I've actually blocked the number every time to stop calling. They continue to call me. It never stops. It just happened to me again. I ask the lady why isn't my number being removed??? Her exact words "All Star sends us a new list every month"! At this point it's harassment and I've filed a claim with the attorney generals office to have this looked into. Since it won't stop when I've ask. read more
