So I found All Star Driving School and decided to give them a try. Ben trained my son and he was able to pass his test. I had paid for my son to get three sessions, but towards his last session, he got injured pretty bad which requires surgery and he could not walk or do anything for himself for almost 3 months. It completely slipped my mind that he had his last session, but when I called after three months to try to schedule his last session, they told me I could not use his last session because it's been too long. I explained to them that he had a medical issue and I can show proof that he was not able to use His right leg and could not drive at the time. And they said they still cannot honor it. I sent two of my children there, and it was very disappointing to me that they would not be able to honor it given the circumstances. read more

Don't waste your money on these crooks. We bought 3 sessions for my son. He tore his acl before his 3rd session. We had proof (still do) of his Acl surgery. When we called to schedule his 3rd session once he recovered enough to drive they told us it had expired. That is a total lack of integrity on their part. How can the sessions expire we paid for three it's just their time that they got paid for but somehow we lose the money because of an injury. Pretty much they just stole from us makes zero sense that he would not get the time he paid for. Go somewhere else these people are terrible! read more

My first 2 lessons was with Caesar, he was very helpful and was fun to talk to! He was also very honest. My last lesson was with Brett. Around $390 for 3 driving classes! They do 3 classes of 2 hours to meet the 6 hour DMV requirement. Very pleased that the whole process was able to be done over the phone. They were able to schedule all classes and take the two payments over the phone. I let them know my sisters permit would expire soon and they helped me with scheduling her 3 classes in a month. Afternoon and weekend classes are harder to come by and have a lot of availability in the morning. Her instructor for her last class was Zack and he was great! He gave her a mini practice driving test and she passed with no problem the following week! read more

They are compassionate, gentle and patient with their students, constantly on the lookout for driving improvement. They teach you everything you should know about safe driving and the best techniques to operate vehicles. They have new/well maintained vehicles and flexible scheduling, ensuring costumer satisfaction. They prioritize safety and teach practical driving skills as well as defensive driving. There's a variety of skills taught aside from that, such as freeway driving and parking. Mock driving tests can also be taken to have an authentic pre-test experience to know exactly what will be taken throughout the test. My daughter had a behind the wheel lessons with Allison today and we are so happy to have had her for an instructor. I have used all Star for all 3 of my kids and have been very happy each time. But without a doubt Allison is the BEST instructor any of my kids have had. She was engaging and encouraging all while fine tuning my daughter's driving skills. We will definitely request her again. All Star has been great for all 3 of my kids...they all passed their permit test on the first try and both of my older kids passed their driving test on the first try as well at 16 years old. read more

My son was required to have behind the wheel prior to getting his license. We contacted All Star and would recommend them. He had 3 sessions. The last session prepared him for the dmv test. He did not have the same instructor for each session, but we had no issues with any of the instructors. The office was accommodating and professional. We did have to make some changes to his sessions due to him being in high school and working, and they were great. He passed his DMV test the 1st time. read more

Be careful when they say they are only charging you the deposit. I spoke with the employee there twice before I agreed to pay the deposit and both times I was told that they only required the deposit up front. I agreed and schedule my son's first appointment. The next day I checked my account and they charged me the whole charge of $402. When I called to ask why I was charged the full amount the girl told me that they charged me because they were going to be changing their prices for the New Year and to get that price I had to pay the whole thing. She said I was told that which I definitely was not or I would not have agreed to be charged at all. My son was paying for the classes on his own and had only saved up enough for the deposit at this point. I have asked for a refund and I just keep getting told the manager will call me about it when they get in. I asked when that would be in and she says she doesn't know. The people that answer and schedule the appointments are very dishonest. read more

So both my children have gotten their permits. As a mother, i am terrified at the thought of them getting behind the wheel. Today, my eldest got her first lesson from Nick. I was panicked the whole time she was gone. When she got home, she was so excited after her lesson. He taught her the basics but most importantly, he made the entire process very comfortable for her. She was a bit worried about driving with a stranger, but when they were finished, she asked if Nick could do all her lessons. Thanks Nick! Great job. read more

Bad communication. We scheduled my son's 2nd instruction 3 months prior. This company reminds you of your appointment, 24ish hours before, and advises to reschedule within 48 hours to avoid a cancellation fee. At that point, since they called/text at the 24 hour mark, they are guaranteed to get the $35 fee from me. Why even call/text to remind me? Then, after I leave a message to cancel, I received a voicemail the next morning, acknowledging my message. However, their driver still contacts me and my son to confirm the pick-up time. Apparently, they don't communicate within their business as well. All around terrible communication. read more

Very poor customer service, paid for 2 hour sessions and first session was only 1.5 hours long because the instructor had to go back to the office. They won't call you to schedule any appointments, but you can't schedule all 3 appointments ahead of time either (only 1 month out from the date you call). So you are at their mercy of open driving times. If I hadn't already paid for 3 sessions (no refunds) I would find a different company to use that is more customer oriented. read more

My son didn't get all three of his lessons, then when I called to try and get a lesson because he had his drive test scheduled they sent him with a guy who was not a regular instructor. All the instructor could talk about was getting home to have a beer. Then my son takes the drive test and didn't pass so I called them and they want to charge another $100 to give him his last driveling practice because they said they waived it because he already had his drive test. This is an update/rewrite of my last review. I did not want to include some of this info in my last one but now I feel like I should. I had 3 instructors during my time learning how to drive with this service. 1. Glafira, I believe her name was. She was very hard to understand due to a thick accent but I did not mind. I thought she was nice enough. Then, about 30 minutes into my lesson, going over SMOG and taking right turns around a neighborhood, she started munching on powdered donuts. Weird, but okay. Then, awhile later, she sat her bare feet up on the seat, which was also weird. Throughout this she had answered a phone call and talked with no intention of hanging up. Later, driving for THE FIRST TIME on main streets, I was stopped at a major intersection waiting to do a left turn. I was nervous enough, waiting next to a huge truck. Her phone rang. She answered. The light turned green. I was shaking and turned. She yapped on the phone, feet up and grabbing the wheel, not letting me drive while I was nervous out of my mind going down the street for another minute. Did not enjoy it at all. 2. Juan, a bus driver. He was very kind, very knowledgeable and I enjoyed my time with him making small talk. He mostly helped me with pulling up against the curb and making better stops. When I made a major error, we stopped at a park and he told me what I did wrong and how to fix it. He let me ask a lot of questions and was overall a wonderful, wonderful instructor. Nothing bad to say. 3. Michael. He was also really nice, and made a lot of fun small talk. He mostly helped me drive against curbs, holding the wheel correctly while turning and parking in parking spots. Again, very nice and made me feel very confident about my driving and about testing with certain instructors at Norco. Overall good experience, 5 stars. I won't let one experience with 1 of 3 people ruin how I think of their teaching and useful lessons. read more

This place is a joke. Literally did not show for my appointments I paid for 3 separate occasions. I had to pay someone to babysit my 2 year old for my 2 hour lessons that I never received. Save yourself the hassle and go to a legitimate school. Was also told I'd get my money back(after doing the math they offered $20 short of what I should get) which I still have not received. Hope someone gets this handled as I will be filing small claims. read more

UPDATE: I had retained the services of a previous driving "instructor" who I paid almost $300 upfront (for 6 hours of instruction) and my daughter got one free 40 minute lesson and a second lesson that was not free of 40 minutes. All the other times, he rescheduled or did not show up. Turns out he was borrowing someone else's instructor's license so I asked for a refund and he literally became unhinged when I reviewed his "business". NO REFUND. His response was that he felt sorry for the students who went to "the other guys." Well, guess what?? My daughter PASSED with flying colors, from the Norco DMV, and All Star instructors, Leah and Michael, were AWESOME! Michael, thoroughly instructed my daughter and she immediately gained confidence in her driving skills and successfully passed her exam and is now a licensed driver! I've never written a review before but wanted to warn others of the lack of professionalism at this driving school. First lesson, driver shows up over an hour late. I wouldn't have left a review based on that alone, sometimes things happen. On the third lesson, same driver as the first lesson shows up and tells my son to tell me he needs $50. I paid in full so I didn't understand. I went to talk to him and he didn't know why he was told to charge me $50. So I asked him to call the office. He calls, they don't know either. So I asked if my son could do his lesson and I could straighten it out with a manager later. So he calls the office and we have to wait for a manager to call him back. Then he tells me my time started when he arrived so my son would lose out on the time this was taking. Even though he was over an hour late to the first one! I didn't get to straighten this out with a manager until over a week later because they don't return your calls in a timely manner at all. Finally I spoke to manager Angie. I explained the situation to her. Told her about the over an hour late on the first one and how my son was docked time over the $50 that needed to be straightened out. She was argumentative. I asked her if they can work with me a little bit, she refused. The $50 turned out to be because this whole process took my son a year. I was a little thrown off by that because after the online class and permit, the first driving lesson was a couple months out. So I asked if I could schedule all of them at that time (few weeks apart) and they said no, I needed to schedule each one after the previous lesson. So, every time we went to schedule another lesson, it was difficult. They rarely answer the phone and when you leave a message, they rarely call back. And when they do, they schedule you 2-3 months out. So, expect to just pay the extra $50. I asked Angie if she could credit some of that back or give my son another driving lesson, as he was still not confident and was docked time on his last one. She said no and was very rude. She admitted this $50 for going over a certain amount of time was nowhere on paperwork that I signed or anywhere I would have seen it but that it was the "owners rules". I asked if I could speak to the owner and she said he is always out of town. So I told her I would be writing my first yelp review if she wasn't interested in working with me. To which she replied "that's fine, it's all lies!" I questioned her if she was calling me a liar and she said yes, because there is "no way they could have been late the first time" because the guy giving the lesson has worked there 5 years and there's no way he would ever be late. This is a long review, but this place will charge you more, it will be frustrating never being able to get a hold of them, the owner apparently has unwritten rules and is "always out of town", and manager Angie is rude and completely unprofessional. If she hadn't pushed it over the line for me by calling me a liar, this review wouldn't even be here. read more

Great place to send your teenager! Signed my 16 year old daughter up for drivers ed and 6 hrs behind the wheel and she passed her permit and drivers exams both on the first try! Everyone here is so friendly, nice and helpful! I also referred an older friend to Allstar, because she had taken her drivers test at DMV 3 times and failed. This school was notorious about cancelling appointments can't keep their drivers on staff they kept telling me that they lost the driver he/she quit etc. When I setup my daughter to have them drive her I advised them of where we lived and where she went to school and where she is when she waits for me to pickup from after school they said oh no problem took my money and then it was always an issue with them thank goodness we are finishing up with this school today but I highly don't recommend them they are horrible with keeping scheduled appointments and pickup and dropoff locations. read more

I do not recommend this school. Although the instructors were nice and thought my daughter much, the cars are falling apart. The day my daughter had her DMV driving test, just before leaving my house the right mirror fell off. The owner of the school declined to switch cars, his excuse was that it's not Illegal to not have the right mirror. Although that may be the case for a new and inexperienced driver it is nerve racking. Not only that other parts of the car were held with tape because they were broken. The day of the test my daughter was supposed to have 1 hour route practice before the test and all the time was wasted as the instructor was trying to get the car switch. The school did not care at all, they didn't even call to apologize about what had happened. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this school. read more
