The lady was kind and patient with me- as it was my first time she took her time and did a fantastic job. She was conservative when it came to my eyebrow shape- I told her up front that I didn't want them too skinny and she really nailed them. If you've never been threaded before, it hurts but honestly it's no worse than a bikini wax. But unlike a wax you don't leave red, irritated and oily. I'll be back for sure. First, let's get the elephant out of the room-- this area looks rough. If you are not used to the less "Austin" parts of Austin, this location will scare you, as it did me. All Star is located next to the Fiesta Supermarket, and the walls are paper thin, so you WILL hear heavy music pulsating through the salon. Asked for a clean up of my brows and they took so much off.....my brows haven't been this thin since the 2010s, so I guess I'll be adding castor oil to my beauty routine and pray the grow back process is quick. My eyebrows were a mess and I din had time to go to my regular place so decided to give this a try. Firstly its a pretty good size eyebrow place and clean, only 1 lady to manage and do the brows. Secondly it's not worth at all. I had to ask the lady several times to clean my face and remove the extra hair all around. Seemed she wasn't too keen on knowing what the customer wants. I had not done my brows for a while so the shape was gone I kept asking her but felt she wasn't must interested. Just wanted to finish her work ( when there was no one else) !!! I had a wonderful experience at this salon! I went in on a Sunday around noon & there wasn't a long wait for service. The woman who was working made sure that herself and clients were following COVID protocols. She even had a customer enter without a mask & was able to provide one for her :) so kind! As for the services I received, I went in for only eyebrow threading but ended up getting my entire face done. It took no more than 20 minutes in total and it was the least painful threading I've experienced. My brows look on point and my face is so soft. I've been to Alante Salon on Guadalupe and one in H‑E‑B off Parmer in north Austin. This is by far my favorite threading salon. Thank you!! read more

I've been here twice during Covid. The gal who owns the shop - very friendly - wears and mask and a face shield and sanitizes beforehand. She's done a great job on my brows both times I've been - this is now my go to threading place. Yes it's next to the fiesta off I-35 as one reviewer noted so not the most visually appealing location but that didn't bother me. You're in there to get your eyebrows done not get a spa treatment - 5 mins max. Don't let the location deter you. read more

I walked in here and got seen almost immediately. I hadn't gotten hair removed in a while so it hurt but she was quick and efficient. I told her I wanted natural looking eyebrows and she did such a good job, I was still getting compliments a week later. For $14, I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded really nicely. She asked if I wanted them clipped on the sides a little and used these tiny scissors. She put on soothing stuff on my face afterwards and was really friendly. The location's a little hard to find (it's next to Wells Fargo) but I went grocery shopping at Fiesta Mart next door afterwards.
