I found none of that to be true. I guess it's all relative right? Water does come into play on #8 which is a 115 yard par 3 over water. The balance of the water they refer to are either ponds that run alongside the fairway or creeks you may encounter that cross the fairway. Overall this is a very nice course and plays very well. The Fairways and Greens are in great shape for the most part. On hole #16 there is a strip of new sod that runs all the way across the green. For the most part the tee boxes were all green and in good shape. There were a few that were bare with little grass. It's very scenic and quiet, lots of wildlife and the fairways are wide open with strategic bunkers on most holes. It was 10/8/20 and the high was 85 but it was sunny and a nice breeze and just a perfect day for golf in the Carolinas! They have 2 driving ranges and a practice putting green. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was $35 bucks to ride 18 for the Senior rate which is a great value for a course of this caliber. The carts are electric and all in good repair. They won't let you take the cart into the parking lot so it's best to drop your bag and then park. I would highly recommend this course.

They had a starter on the first tee (# 10…read morebecause they were working on the front 9) and that was it, there wasn't a ranger to be seen all day. By the time we got to # 6 there was 4 different groups on the same hole. When we finished 9 we went into the club house and asked if we could play the same 9 again. The lady working was nice enough to allow us to do that. 3 holes into the back 9 and now there are 3 different groups on the same hole. Several of the fairways were in bad shape. They will not have to worry about wasting my money on their course again. Whoever is responsible for running that course should be fired and replaced by someone that knows how a golf course should be run. To run a course in this manner tells you it's nothing more than a money grab and they could care less about you having a good experience. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the greens are in pretty good shape.

SURPRiSE ha!! and took it in to Golf Galaxy to see about a trade before my son got home from college and saw my grand purchase. Bill Painter listened to my story without hysterical laughing, took a look at 'ole lefty and gave me a fair value for the club. He then proceeded to take the time to show me all of the options available in the club that I wanted in the used section and options in new as well. He explained how to determine what type of club I was looking at, what the numbers meant, basic info. on the difference between flex and regular shaft, etc. all without making me feel like an imbecile (ignoring the fact that I did just bring in a left handed club for a right handed golfer Ha!) I left Golf Galaxy tonight with an awesome RIGHT handed club for my son and the basic knowledge to attempt to go Rogue and buy another golf club one day without a golfer present. Hats off to Bill and the guys at Golf Galaxy for saving my pride and helping me fix what could have been a very costly mistake. Go check them out!!

The fairways are a little thin- mostly they have good body but there are bare spots along the way. The name sake creek that meanders through the course gives it character and adds to the challenge. It is an interesting and challenging layout. It would be nice to have an intermediate set of tees between the white (5800 Yards) and the red (5000 yds) which would accommodate older golfers better. For starters, the studio in goregous! It's in an repurposed warehouse space with other businesses. Beautiful hardwood floors, bright lights, plenty of space (with a nice area with a couch & coffee table & literature wall) & a booming sound system. You're greeted as soon as you walk in at the checkin / reception counter. Kadi Fit utilizes the key ring card as your membership card, so you'll scan it when you come in. Katie (the owner) & one of her employees, Emma, are welcoming, super sweet , & were great to talk to. They didn't pressure me into becoming a member tonight (which I'm going to join as soon as I get back into the working world). I got to the studio a little early, so I watched the Primal class, which looked almost like a prep course for boot camp. :D However, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves & pushing their bodies to the extreme. Now, for the kardio class. WOW, so much fun! 45 minutes of high energy cardio with a fantastic music soundtrack. Katie & Megan (I believe that was her name) took turns leading high impact dances moves & steps. I really enjoyed myself! There were a lot of women in this class, but we still had plenty of space to move - we sure needed it! Katie & Megan had us all over the floor. Katie not only offers a ton of class options, she also teaches lifestyle. Her online site features a blog with plenty of useful information.
