I'd give 4 or 5 stars except the area is so run down. There's rundown motels and 2 adult xxx shops within view of the parking area and lots of transient and etc traffic in the area!!! But once inside it's not bad. They have a nice arcade and it's a family friendly birthday party place but I didn't see many birthday party's when I was there on Saturday morning. This place used to be packed before the area got so bad. The bowling alley so needs to change to a new location. I'd probably bring my child or grandchild if they were invited to a party but I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving or just dropping them off there. Too many sketchy people wondering around the streets and many and I do mean many rundown sleazy type motels in view from there.

We choose to do a very different date night last night and played a round of putt-putt golf. It was $6.00 an adult, which was very cheap yet reasonable for an 18 hole game. The girl at the counter told us to take as many balls as we wanted so we both grabbed 2 each. Really wished I had taken a few more as 1 of my balls hit the water on hole 2 LOL.. luckily my Husband played guard on other holes that was near the water. It was peaceful and we loved the waterfall and rock formations there. It wasn't over crowded and the music rocked!

When it's past dinner time and a movie won't cut it, the next night time activity for the under-18 crowd, would be bowling. As I understand it, Don Carter's is the place to be for any bowling in Baton Rouge. From the looks of it, the locals are right as this place is bustling with people left and right and is spacious enough to accommodate all of them. There are many lanes here and the place is sprawling with young people and families. The facility is clean and the bathrooms are surprisingly nice. Bowling experts should consider bringing their own bowling balls, since the house balls aren't all that great. Using the scoring marker system isn't difficult and the staff is helpful. It's not all bowling here though, they do have a snack bar and plenty of tables for those who just want to watch and eat (and there were plenty of those people). This might be the only bowling alley I've ever heard of that caters Cajun food, like red beans & rice and jambalaya. I also noticed they have a pretty mean arcade as well, but this place wouldn't be a complete bowling alley without one. The prices might be high for Baton Rouge, but they're not expensive compared to where I've bowled. $3.50 a game or $ 17-20 an hour seems reasonable enough for me. If for some reason this is too much, consider downloading the coupons from the website to make the experience even cheaper. There is also a $3.50 fee for shoe rental, but I've been fortunate to get that fee waived each time. Be it a corporate event or a kid's birthday party, it's safe to say Don Carter's is the go-to spot for all things bowling. They close at 1AM each night and 2AM on the weekends.

We love the kids league bowling on Saturdays! From bumpers to the majors, they have a great time learning basic bowling to oil patterns and how to pick up spares. Wonderful sport for the whole family.

This is a great place to bowl. They have 64 lanes, so there is plenty of room. They offer family specials, which are a little cheaper than bowling by the game. Some of the specials come with pizza and drinks. At night they have the bowling with the strobe lights and disco lights. We've come here many times to bowl and always have a good time!

This is a nice little place to come have fun at! Their prices are great and the environment is very family friendly. We like to come here on Sunday mornings because of the $1 per person per game! Can't beat that!! And Thursday night they've got ladies bowl for free & $10 unlimited bowl! They also have lots of food choices & other games too.

These nachos don't look like anything special but they tasted amazing!

The establishment was pretty clean but I didn't use the bathroom. The nachos were amazing! My husband wanted to "split" them with me by offering me half his fries. You do not get any refills on drinks which is always a downer. The food came out pretty fast. My husband got the burger meal. He spent the rest of the day complaining about a stomach ache. While he was eating it is said it tasted a bit funny. I wouldn't suggest getting the burger. The rest of us got the hotdogs. I didn't realize they all came with chips or else I wouldn't have gotten the extra small fries for the kids to split. There is a soda machine right next to the concession. If your meal doesn't come with a drink you are better off just getting something out of the machine. Only two of our kids bowled. The monitor was easy to navigate. For one game for two kids and shoes it was about $16. A little expensive I think but the other bowling establishment didn't have any lanes open until 6:30pm because leagues were there. In the end the kids had fun and we left there extremely full.

It was ok for the kids. I hadn't been there in such a long time. It hasn't changed. Good for the young kids.

We decided to come here today, Sunday for the kids after it just briefly rained. A couple of my co workers and their children joined. As soon as we walked in here we were hit with a bit of heat because the ac seemed to not be operating. In addition a couple of the employees were walking with make shift fans. We decided on one of the packages they offered for around 30$ dollars. Of our choosing this included mini golf,go karts, and a $10 game card. We weren't told how the mini golf here worked and had to walk around and figure it out. Again it had just rained so not holding it against them but we choose not to play in particular areas due to the puddles of rain. Digging golf balls from the holes filled with water isn't fun or the cleanliest. The fountain outside wasn't working and didn't appear to be working for some time. It got a bit hot so we went inside to deal with hot ac.. Our kids rode on one game for "8.0" credits and immediately it said "insufficient funds." We went back up to the counter and she had to adjust both of our cards. After our cards had been adjusted they participated in maybe 5-6 games and the cards were empty. Most of the games weren't working so the kids could play together. I asked if all of the games were 8.0 credits she stated it was mixed throughout the arcade. Most of those games are 8.0 credits and the cards went fast. Yet, they want you to continue to put money on these cards for games that are working. The pizza is decent here no complaints. Our other party had arrived and was turned away due to open toed shoes policy. However we weren't told anything for our kids that were wearing opened toed. She went home anyways to change shoes. She also had the same issue with the cards not being loaded properly. It was time to ride the go karts. We make our way over and we see that only 1 family Kart was working and about 3-4 singles riders. We of course had to ride with 3 of our kids and we had to go one at a time due to this which took away the fun and enjoyment out of it. They also seemed to be hosting a birthday and weren't able to accommodate those riders either. The go karts starting stopping in the middle of the rides. We had only rode 1 time due to the large party and were turned away the second time because the karts were down now. Make our way over to the kids karts for 1 kids kart to be working!!! Oh and we had to pay for the kids go kart package for them to only have 1! Kart working. The train wasn't working apparently and the batting cages weren't either. The prizes are trash and you don't get many tickets from the arcade. The money we spent here today would've been a fortune at Chuck E. Cheese, were we will be going moving forward. I don't understand why this place is open this experience wasn't enjoyable for the kids and they all agreed to never come back and they are under the ages of 8. I would like to be contacted for a refund not only for myself but for the other 2 moms in company.

After the excitement of the LSU game(and unfortunate loss) , this was the perfect way to wind down and still keep the energy high. The setup is not your average mini-golf course , each tee is themed after a different part of New Orleans, and you actually get to learn pieces of the city's rich history as you play through all 18 holes. It's such a cool blend of fun and culture--where else can you work on your putting game while learning about the traditions, neighborhoods, and landmarks that make New Orleans so unique? The course is well kept, creative, and just the right mix of challenging and lighthearted. Whether it's for a casual date, a family night out with the kids, or even a group of friends looking for something different, City Park Putt Putt checks all the boxes. Amazing staff. Reason for 3 stars : We went at night and it was insanely DARK, like we used our phones to see where the ball went. Could have used more lighting. We also went the day after it rained and 40 percent of the holes were not draining and were filled with old rain water... gross!!! Drainage could use a little help. I had not been in some time, my last few experiences were filled with drunk kids at the bar and I figured it was a place I was too old for. But recently, I went in after work to meet with some friends, and the place certainly had a glow-up. They have a decent wine selection, and the cocktails were on point. The bar is clean and I like the different levels. The lushly decorated outdoor area is comfortable and a nice way to relax and enjoy conversation. And everyone who worked there was helpful and engaging. We also attended a Galentines Day event recently, and that was a great way to expose new people and those who had been away to the location. Delicious catering items were spread throughout the space. While I likely will avoid any large scale events there, it is nice option for grabbing a drink after work or attending a special event. Of course a note about parking.... because the area is separated by a fence, it is a little dicey. You can park in the lot on the other side of the fence and walk around, or you can drive to the back behind the building. Please be aware of your surroundings if doing so as it is pretty remote back there.

The worst part about it every time i went in the bathroom most of the employees would be sniffing drugs.. like what type of bar are you guys running ? This bar needs to be shut down.... Let me update my review since it's being misconstrued and talked about . This review has NOTHING to do with anyone that worked at this bar. I've worked in a bar 12+ plus years ! I know how old you have to be to serve and yes that's correct it's 18 . Drinking and serving underage is highly illegal and I saw both of those things . Along with the drugs in the bathroom . My review still stands and no it's not biased . It's a great atmosphere but it needs to be ran the correct way .
