We picked this kennel on the basis of Yelp review we read. All we have to say is how happy we are with the service and care they provided our sweet pup. The staff were very friendly and professional. The prices were very reasonable and we were so happy to see that our pooch was having fun while we were! The kennel posts pictures of the dogs at play on their facebook page so you can see the fun your dog is having while s/he is staying there. The only downside if you can call it that is that on a holiday weekend the hours to pickup/drop off are limited but that is made clear up front and they are helpful and accommodating nonetheless. I am very upset with the grooming to this place I was going to them for about 2 years and I called to make an appointment for my dog which has a lot of hair. they waited 3 days to call me back and proceeded to tell me they can not do my dog anymore because they are not making a profit on my dog. number one I don't know how they did not make a profit because it was cash only and I am sure they did not claim it. This kennel has an outbreak with Kennel Cough and will not notify dog parents. They blamed it on me. My dogs were there for a week and both of my dogs were diagnosed. My dogs haven't been to vet or another dog in over a month. They are more worried about profit over the safety of other dogs!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! The owner is horrible and said she would call the cops on me for notifying others of the illness being spread. All they care about is the money!!!!! Do not go read more

The staff and level of care at Riordan's is unmatched. Would give 10 stars if I could. My dog can be a handful. She an XL breed and has anxiety in new environments and doesn't trust easily. I did the trial and then left her for an overnight before eventually leaving on a week long trip. They took such excellent care of her and she came home in great mental and physical condition. They are so knowledgeable about dog behavior and definitely gave her individualized care to manage her anxiety and quirks. These people are wonderful! We found these people when we were looking for a kennel for our dog, Babs, while we were in Atlantic City. The property is very nice and they have done many upgrades since we have last been there. Babs is very picky about where she stays, but whenever we drop her off, she always goes to the person sitting at the desk and seems sad to leave. And they always love having her there. The limited hours for pick up and drop off are sometimes difficult for travel plans, but the quality of service they deliver has always been worth it. It has been a few years since Babs has stayed there, but we are hoping to bring her back there soon. I highly recommend them! read more

We have a very large Bouvier des Flanders who can look very intimidating. Truth be told, he's afraid of everything. Scissors, brushes, clippers, thunder,fireworks. Well you get the picture. The first time we went to Riordans he was a mess and they suggested we take him to the vets to be shaved. Which we did. A few months later when his hair grew back in we took him to riordans and they did a fantastic job. When I called Riordans to make a second appointment ( only a couple of ,months) they informed me that my dog was too aggressive and they would not take him. When I picked him up the first time they said he did great. No problems. Again I had to take him to the vet. Bob looks mean and has an unusually deep bark. I don't know where to take him. My husband and are both retired and not strong enough to hold him down in order to shave him. I would appreciate any suggestion I can get. I don't want to give him away. He is not our first Bouvier and we love him. read more

One of our two dogs went here for a grooming today so that I could have an opportunity to meet the staff and view the kennel prior to booking a stay for hun and her sister for a week. I must say that the location and facility is lovely, they have plenty of exercise space for the animals in a large, enclosed play area, and the kennel looked and smelled clean. We recently boarded our 1 year old dog Tucker at Riordan's Kennels for 9 nights. We chose Riordan's because of the large indoor/outdoor kennel area for each dog and the large outdoor play area and daily play group option available. He loves to be outside and play with other dogs so this was a perfect fit. The Kennels are clean, open and airy. We boarded our dog at another kennel last time we were away and when we picked him up he was mopey and super skinny. When we picked up Tucker from Riordan's he looked great! It was apparent he did not skip a beat during his stay-he was happy to see us but still giving running over to the attendant on duty. Another plus was that pictures were posted each day on Facebook. My kids were so excited each day to see the fun Tucker was having while running around with the other dogs.
