Our next meeting was to review estimate. The stages of the project were well defined with a payment schedule tied to completion of various benchmarks and city inspections. The status communication throughout the project was excellent: we received regular-ins and updates (by text, phone and in-person) on what to expect over the next few days. When I refused to pay and referred to the contract details and payment schedule, they raised the total amount and threatened to put a lien against my home if I did not pay. They hired an UNLICENSED contractor named Fabian Rivera with LC Construction to build a putting green valued at $17,000 who used cheap materials fromHome Depot. It looked like they used a carpet knife to cut the cheap turf and was shredded and incomplete per the contract. When I disputed paying them more than what was in the contract they disabled my pool, knowing I am remote and threatened to keep it non functional putting it in jeopardy for damage and said they would make it functional again if I give them more money. They will not deliver on the remaining work that was paid in full because of their own misunderstanding. I sent thorough proof of the contract and rationale for their discrepancies at which point they stopped answering my calls and requests for resolution. I had no other option that to take them to court, which we are beginning proceedings on today. These guys are scammers and use unethical practices like threats and violating your property when you are not there to scam you for more money. Avoid them at all costs- Stay away!

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Dun-right Plumbing…read more I am compelled to share my profoundly unsatisfactory experience with Dunright Plumbing. Yesterday and today, we faced plumbing issues, including a stoppage, a leak inside the wall, and a broken disposal. We called out home waranty and they assign this compnay for us to urgently take care of issue. We were scheduled on Thursday between 8am -4 pm I had to take a day off to be home on that long time frame but nobody showed up nobody called to give us update. When I called around 4 pm on Thursday Theresa was sorry about what happened and we respect that and gave them benefit of doubt and let them to schedule us for today first thing in the morning. Despite a promised early morning appointment between 10-12 today, Dun right Plumbing was a complete no-show again and no call. When we called for an update first she said oh I thought my tech already is there and then she said she will follow up with him but again I didn't hear anything from them, they continually changed the timeframe and failed to uphold their commitments, demonstrating a lack of responsibility and communication. Our attempts to address the situation with Theresa at the store initially seemed promising, but it quickly turned into empty assurances. The repeated delays and unfulfilled promises left us feeling taken advantage of, especially considering we were accommodating and flexible. It appears they played games with our appointment, prioritizing other clients over us. Despite relying on our home warranty for support in such situations, Dunright Plumbing's incompetence and lack of professionalism left us without a resolution. Even our request for the owner's name was denied, reflecting a lack of transparency. Now, it's Friday, and we are forced to seek alternative solutions for our plumbing issues, depriving us of the basic amenities of a functional home until next week. The entire experience has been nothing short of miserable. I share this review to caution other clients about the unreliability and unprofessionalism of Dunright Plumbing. I answered in detail by performing a financial analysis of his quote. He quoted $875 for a small project that requires modest supplies and 3 hours of labor. I had it done for $300 twice in the past . Even if the supplies cost $125, which they don't, it works out at $250 per hour of labor. I told Tim his rates were unreasonable. And I was looking to hire a painter, not a Fortune 500 CEO at $250 an hour! I contacted two other contractors and they acted very professional and quoted less than half of what Curtner Painting quoted. Do you know what Tim told me in the follow up email after I gave him full answer and analyzed his quote? I quote: " I priced it on the high end, so you would pick another contractor. While walking around the house, I had a bad feeling about you". I never had a contractor before who developed any feelings about me before, let alone bad ones. Being caught with the super inflated quote, Tim admitted to inflate the price. And he did it as a sore loser. People don't double market rates in their quote and act as sore losers after losing to a reasonable contractors by saying "they priced it in the high end, so the customer picks up another contractor". If the company does not want business they say they are booked for the next few months and don't waste time on providing a quote. Two other contractors did not have "bad feelings" about me, and provided reasonable quotes. I am happy to go with either one of them. Stay away from Curtner Painting. Dishonest and unprofessional.
