Again , the awesome people here have taken care of my Chloe, ( cream, dachshund) This is the only place she'll gladly go. Because she just needs a wash, her nails and ears checked, Im able to just give a call. If you just need your furbabies nails done between bathes,today its 9- 2:00, check to be sure when you can bring your baby in for nails, because of Covid they had to limit and juggle safe times to bring them in. But I called and theyre back to normal, costs only 7.00$ they do a lot of grooming with cutting and all that encompasses grooming for each breed, and/or what you want. I could go on and on. A trusted and loved groomer is as important as a good vet. Im pretty picky but they wouldn't know it.I've been so happy and Ive had 3 doggies that have been taken cared of here. I moved into the area a few months ago and came across this place for our Husky. She is only 7 months old now and full of energy. I can't recommend this place enough. Tami is the best! We don't have dogs that need regular grooming anymore but she always takes our dogs in for nail trims as walk ins.

I used to come here with my poodle for 12 years. Then she passed and I got another dog. A bichon poodle mix. I took her to my regular groomer at all tails for her first puppy grooming and they had a hard time with her. Give me a break. She is a young puppy and you have to be patient and gentle. After the second time they apparently couldn't deal with her and made us pick her up. I took her to another groomer who had absolutely no problem with her and said she was very good. And since then she has been groomed dozens of times by different groomers without issue. So we decided to see if they would give her another try since she's older now and very used to being groomed and they flat out refused. How very unprofessional. I can see now that the groomer was the problem and not the dog. They must have been rough with her. Because she's never nipped at anyone and certainly not any of her groomers that she's had. I'm very disappointed in All Tails. read more

I have taken my dog here 2 times. She is a puppy and the first time at 7 months old after I took her there. They said they were unable to do anything with her cut because she wouldn't let them. She is a very sweet havanese puppy and was probably really scared her first time at a groomers. So I tried again at 8 1/2 months to get her hair cut. She did have some mats in her hair that i couldn't get out. I was hoping they could help me out with that being the experts. The lady said when I dropped her off that she would have to cut her shorter which I said was ok. Never did I dream she would buzz all her hair off and chop up the hair around her face! My poor dog. Plus it is just the start of Chicago winter, and now my puppy has a summer buzz cut. The hair around her face was cut so choppy, I am embarrassed to take her out in public. Also she suggested a sedative for her. I don't agree with that. My puppy can take a lot of harassment at home from my 3 year old, she is used to being handled a lot. I took her here because I was impressed with the price. Well I guess I got what I paid for. Will def. go somewhere else the next time. read more

This place is great. I'm confused by any negative comments because I feel the owner is a great communicator. Have a problem? Call and talk to Tammy first... I don't know why or when it became custom to complain to a bunch of strangers before opening a line of communication, but I digress... The staff is friendly and the price is beyond reasonable. My bichon-poo always comes out clean and fluffy! Of course I have to keep her on a regular schedule otherwise she gets mats and they take her shorter, but I much prefer that over them trying to brush the mats out. Imagine not brushing your own hair for 6 weeks and expecting your hairstylist to make you look like Jennifer Aniston! Common sense people... I'll keep coming back because they obviously care! Been a customer for several years but afraid I won't go back. I don't know if it's a change in policy or the new employees idea but I feel someone has put my dogs life in danger. First time several months ago she tells me my dog chewed through her collar. This tall blond told me my dog somehow got her collar from hanging on the outside of her cage and chewed it in half. Funny she is not a chewer at home. Course I had to buy a new collar before leaving that day. I give them the benefit of the doubt and take dog back. I arrived within 15 minutes of getting the call she was ready for pick up. The same women again tells me Lady chewed her leash and car harness this time. She admitted they keep leashes in the cages with the pet. Why doesnt someone monitor the animals in the cages???. She could have choked on the piece bitten off. You knew this was an issue several months ago why keep putting collars and leashes in the cages .I Like the owner and groomers but I can't afford to keep buying new collars and leashes with every visit , I won't go back. read more

I absolutely do NOT recommend. I was treated with absolute disrespect over a situation where my dog received razor burns on his testicles and penis. They say that he was " severely matted" in that area. However, when I walked into the shop there was no mention of him being "severely matted" only that he was matted and they would need to cut him down. Keep in mind that this was my second time bringing my dog there. My dogs penis/testicles was so badly injured that I had to take him to the vet. It was difficult for my dog to eat, sleep and he kept shaking. The vet even had to call to find out what happened. You cannot imaging how horrible it was to listen to my dog scream in pain at the vet. Absolutely, heartbreaking and this is my first dog. So yes, I cried because as a pet owner you love your pets. The owner and I went back and forth via voicemail and I will say that she did offer to pay half the bill which was fine with me. However, when I tried to call her so that I can send her the vet bill. I spoke to another female employee who argued with me and said that this situation was my fault. Absolutely disrespectful! I shouldn't have to argue with an employee! No apology, no asking about the well-being of my dog, not one care about him. Just saying that this is my fault that this happened to him. This shows me that the employees do not care about the well-being of the animals that are in their care. Nor do they care about their customers. This could have been a teachable moment for myself and for them but it ended up being a mess. Everyone that I have spoken to has told me to take them to court. read more

I been here many times before with my fluffy dog and they have done a fantastic job. I've brought my short hair dog a few times with no problems. Tammy does an awesome job. I went in today after not coming for a while and the place has changed. Victor is in charge now. Well, Victor, you need to have the young man answering the phones to learn some professionalism and attention to detail on the instructions sheets. Businesses don't answer the phone, "HELLO". You ask what the person wants done. Don't just write the dogs name on a sheet. They had a new groomer for my shedding short haired dog because Tammy wasn't there. My dog came back to me half done. The groomer, said she didn't want to do more on him due to his dry skin I noticed some dry areas that were red. When I got home, he was bleeding and raw in many places. Before I left, she mentioned the shaver. When I called when I got home, the blonde said she only used a metal raking tool. In either case, wrong answer for a short hair dog. My dog is never coming back to anyone but Tammy. read more
