The kids used the whirlpool and loved it- nice and large and clean with a game room that kept them entertained. The store is so cute and has anything you could need available for purchase. The staff here was accommodating and MN NICE. Giving 4 stars due to the floors being a bit chilly - bring slippers if staying in the winter! And you can hear footsteps from the room above. The clean, VERY WELL maintained cabin included a warming fireplace, crispy clean bedding, all required utensils and virtually instant hot water in the shower and kitchen. The grounds provided space for casual walks (escorted by hummingbirds and chipmunks). Fishing was good and the lake scenic thanks in great part to limited development. As important as anything, Loon Point's owner/operators were not only visible, but helpful as well. Loon Point provides lots of lessons for owner/operators of "Mom and Pop" destinations who believe they'll stay in business by doing the "same old thing." It's just not gonna happen.
