We stayed at Loon Point Resort for 4 days and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Jack Pine cabin, which is one of the smaller cabins. It was clean, everything in it worked and the view was beautiful. It had a screened in porch and a charcoal grill as well. It had a queen bed, which was very comfortable, and 2 twin beds which we didn't try. The owners, John and Sherri, were really friendly and accommodating and helped us with anything we needed as well as making great conversation. We rented a small motor boat which was nice and worked perfectly. We didn't catch many fish but other people at the resort did, so it was probably a result of us being fishing amateurs. The property and lake were beautiful with a ton of wildlife. The main lodge of the resort had games and books for use, and had cell phone reception and free WiFi, but honestly it was nice to be without a phone for a few days. The owners told us about Joyce Estate, which is an old abandon resort deep in the woods, we went and checked it out and it was very cool, but it was a pretty long hike. My only complaint about the whole trip is that the bait we bought at The Balsam Store was dead and rotten when we opened it. I'd recommend going to the Hollywood bait shop, their bait was much better. All in all, we had a wonderful time and absolutely loved Loon Point Resort, and we have already booked another stay later this year. This will definitely be our go to resort for trips up north in the years to come. read more
