I wanted to call out three of their workers for absolutely exceptional customer service. The first one and biggest amount of appreciation I wanted to extend is to Cody. His general knowledge of the tcgs gamers sells along side an encyclopedic knowledge of their inventory are both indespensable as a customer. I cannot count how many times I've come in for cards in the case and BECAUSE of his knowledge I've ended up grabbing cards I otherwise wouldnt have purchased I also buy my singles from gamers because they are always honest on the condition of the cards, another thing I wanted to specifically commend cody for being exceptional at. Next is Jessica. She's always very friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and makes us feel noticed and welcome whenever we are in the store. Her warmth is absolutely radiant and I truly think she's another standout. The last one i wanted to commend is Samuel. I have less interactions with him so less to say but my few interactions with him have all been positive and I generally feel hes another gem among the staff And then just to repeat it one final time, Cody is an absolute standout every time we go to the store. I often drive out of my way to come to gamers over alternatives after calling to confirm cody is there and working. It's that impactful and important when he is there that we will go out of our way to see him. 10/10 recommendation on all fronts. Do NOT miss this store if you like anything gaming and collectibles. They are cooler than any museum and friendly to boot.

They have a good selection of comics, graphic novels, and collectibles. They also sell ice cream/milkshakes, etc. I've yet to partake of the sweet treats, but everyone that I've seen order them, appears to enjoy them fairly well. I like the "feel" of the place. You can tell it was started by someone that LOVES comics and the geek life. Which means they are my people. I enjoy talking with the young man who usually works when I make my monthly pilgrimage. I appreciate this place and I usually end up spending more than I originally intended to. I don't mind supporting them because I want them to be around for a very long time. It is certainly impressive being greeted by Spider-man battling Doc Octopus overhead. Tons and tons of comics, magazines, books, games, etc. So much to see hard to take it all in. The only thing I missed were the displays of beloved titles from the 1940s to 1960s. So I was told of a huge comic show in Boston and large stocks were sent up there. A very impressive store. Everyone was very helpful and answered questions that I had. I even brought a small box of my personal comics for them to look over. They liked the books and the condition and we agreed on a price for them. Very nice people and very pleasant atmosphere.

Be warned, they barely have anything priced. That being said, I found a few I wanted. Took them to the counter. I asked for the prices on the books I had on the counter. He proceeds to "look them up" on a monitor. Proceeds to give me a very high price. I counter offer $10 less. They wouldn't take it. I turned it down. Then the young man took the book and said, that belongs on the wall. So, I worked for them in finding that wall book. I dug thru a dozen long boxes, found a nice book, made them a reasonable counter offer and then they put it on the wall to try to make $10 more. If I wanted to pay Ebay prices, I would buy from there. I did the work they were supposed to be doing instead of sitting around talking and joking. I won't be back.

In the area visiting friends in Hickory, I spotted this comic shop close by and decided to stop by…read moreand check them out. I was astonished at the variety and depth of stock items. Comics, cards, figurines, Pops, Star Wars collectibles, Star Trek collectibles, Hot Wheels, etc. I would not have believed the huge stocks from the outside. Plus some oversized Star Wars items: R2D2, a Droid, and a diorama of Dogabah. These guys are fans first and retailers second. Had a nice conversation about comics and left them with information on checking out my collection and possible deals. They were friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help. Check them out! Just leave enough time to browse around and maybe find that one item you have been looking for.
