This is a great Christian Barbershop to go to. Check out OJ. I have been getting service from this Barbershop for over 10 years.

I've been a loyal, consistent customer at the Cut & Shave Barber on Eisenhower for two years now,…read moreand for good reason. In my opinion, their customer service is second to none. Between the convenient location and very reasonable pricing, it's easily the best value in the area. While I have tried several barbers and even explored their other locations, I always find myself returning to the Eisenhower branch. Once you find a team that truly understands your hair and provides a top-notch experience, they earn your long-term loyalty. The Standouts: Kim: She is a fantastic stylist. Beyond her technical skills, she has incredible listening skills--she truly understands what you want and consistently exceeds expectations. She delivers 100% on every cut and genuinely aims to please. After speaking with other regulars, I know I'm not alone in this assessment. Anne: Kim was on vacation this week, so I had the pleasure of sitting in Anne's chair. She is kind, respectful, and highly skilled. I'll definitely be asking for her whenever Kim isn't available. I highly recommend this location. You might see a few "haters" or trolls posting negative reviews to downplay the competition, but don't let that deter you. I promise you won't be disappointed with the Eisenhower team. Pro-tip: Schedule your next appointment with Kim or Anne for the best experience--and tell them Bruce sent you!

Old Town Barber Shop at 222 N Lee St # 2, Alexandria, VA 22314…read more I've lived in Old Town Alexandria for close to fifteen years. In all that time I've looked to a number of barbers but hadn't really found one that worked well for me. Two months ago I was exploring Lee Street, just east of King Street, and discovered the Old Town Barber Shop. It's tucked in between Jack's Place (for breakfast and lunch) and Diya Indian Cuisine - and about three blocks from the Torpedo Factory. The free Alexandria DASH circulator bus service stops about a block from the shop, so it's easy to get to from either King Street or Braddock Road Metro Stations I was in the area visiting the new pub, the Commodore, which opened earlier this year next to the barbershop. When I saw there was no waiting at the barbershop and knowing I was due for a haircut, I took a chance on Old Town Barber Shop - and it turned out very well. The shop was clean, well-lit, and I met two barbers, Annie and Helen. Annie did an excellent job listening to my concerns. She made sure she knew what kind of cut I was looking for and then set about her work. She had no trouble achieving the results I was looking for, and I thanked her, paying $30 plus a $5 tip, a price that I've found to be well within reason for the area. The truth about a haircut shows up not as you walk out of the shop but how the hair looks a week later. Annie's work definitely passed that test, and for the next four weeks my hair looked like I wanted it to look. When I returned the following month, Annie once again met and exceeded my expectations.

Once he finished, which was in less than 15 mins, I attempted to pay by debit card on square, as the sign on the door reads- only to learn that *he* doesn't accept square. Before heading to the gas station ATM, I asked about the cost, which was, according to my husband, 17 bucks- the barber told me 20...and that's what he charged me to CLEAN up my TWO yr old's Mohawk - a cut he's been rocking for 8 months now. I can't understand how cutting the sides lower and trimming the top can cost the same as if he shaped the entire head. Never again, from this dude, who by the way wasn't the friendliest, not even with my son. And the slim guy next to him is more precise... DISHONEST, and OVER PRICED. I try so hard to support Black owned businesses, but yet again... Update: I see that Tye had his "friend" write a review, referencing mine...how incredibly unprofessional. *IF* he, or she read (or can read), you'd see that he charged me $20 for a $17 mohawk that was in fact just a SHAPE UP. Word to the wise Tye, address my review yourself, don't get your "peeps" to comment on *my* experience. Is this a beauty salon, or a barber shop? How childish and unprofessional... again, further proof of why you should go to the slim guy, if you must...
