For a weeks i was looking to find a shop and have them to cut a piece of plexiglass for the cover of a box,,, every glass shop i visited the price was between 45 to 50 box... my friend told me about this store... i got my piece cut in 2 minutes for ten dollars, he was very nice and professional and fair...i am sure one day you will need something from this store keep in mind to visit him... hope he will survive this unfair corporate competition and continue to service... read more

Came here for a 45x45 cut of acrylic and was greeted by Tom, the owner. He was super friendly and asked how thick I'd like the piece. I said it was for my window to block out some of the city sounds and recommended 1/2" so I went with that. The process took less than 10 minutes for him to cut it to size and we were done! Paid for it, had a cool conversation with him, and then off we went. The install went perfectly! This is definitely probably not the most conventional use of acrylic, but it does muffle the sounds but I'm tempted to buy another piece for extra soundproofing. Any thicker and it would have been a little too heavy. Thanks for your help! read more

Went to that "other" plastics place in Sun Valley and was told I needed to buy a full sheet that they would cut down to the size I wanted (36.5" x 27"). That was going to cost $150 and at least a day's wait. Fortunately, they recommended I go to All Valley Plastics. What a great experience that was. The atmosphere is 1000% better, with friendly and helpful people. I was in and out with exactly what I wanted in 15 minutes and for 1/3 the price. I had a great experience working with Tom and his crew. I came to him a couple months ago looking for him to fabricate some elements of a filter I was designing for my fish pond. Seeing as this was my first time getting acrylic components fabricated, Tom patiently guided me through what was possible and what was not, what would hold up and what might not. Tom really helped me simplify my design into something that was much more feasible and cleaner than my original design. What I appreciate about this is Tom taught me "how to fish" - I now have a good understanding of his process and general fabrication methods that I feel confident that I can design other components for him to expertly fabricate without quite as much hand holding and still achieve a great result (I imagine his business wouldn't be sustainable otherwise). Besides their help, after committing to the final design for fabrication, Tom went above and beyond and added additional reinforcement to ensure there will be little to no chance for part failure. The end result was nothing short of perfection and when I finally got my finished filter together everything looks and functions just as I had hoped. Thanks to Tom and everyone at All Valley Plastics! One final word of advice: as I previously mentioned (learned during this experience), I don't think Tom's business would be sustainable based on his high level of interaction with customers and EXTREMELY reasonable prices without rush jobs from the studios. Try to give them the benefit of the doubt and trust he will get to your project and he will do a great job, even if he doesn't have time to communicate that to you. read more

Located in NoHo, this little shop is most likely instrumental in providing most of the sneeze guards you see everywhere. I'm sure business has never been better. The cost was fair... the turnaround time was lightning fast and they were all nice guys. The only thing I can say is that I had only been in there for about ten minutes, but as soon as I got back in the car my girl had to roll down the windows because I smelled like chemicals or whatever. It lasted for about an hour. It just clung to my clothes. It was pretty gnarly. That said, it was a small inconvenience for receiving a sturdy product. Thanks guys! read more

Stopped by to get a quote for this job and dropped off digram/logo files a week and a half before our deadline. (Simple project three letters and a medium size tray to hold liquid.) My assistant checked in with them multiple times to make sure the project would be completed on time. The "secretary" advised that it would be completed. However, the day we went to pick it up? The owner advised that it hadn't even been started so we had to pay another company double to rush the container/letters for a shoot. This business cost us a tremendous amount of money and time. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION! There a numerous plastic vendors in LA/ Burbank. I do not recommend this business. read more

Fantastic service, couldn't ask for nicer people! Cut me a piece while I waited, price was good. Tom asked me what it was for, I told him for an aquarium top, he found an offcut of Lexan and charged me for acrylic, telling me that it is more heat resistant. I told him I want to come back and buy a full sheet of 1/2 inch to make a new aquarium, he told me that he would cut the pieces to size for no extra charge. His saw is for Acrylic and leaves to edges cleaner for polishing. His showroom is full of samples of work he has fabricated for clients, does excellent work. read more

Tom is the best. I had a simple piece for a cascade fountain that needed to be designed and made. Santa Monica plastics couldn't do it under $250 + $80 for the material that she almost charged me $250. They couldn't do in time or even perceive the design I was goin for and Tom visualized what I had immediately. He got it done in a few hours after a holiday weekend. Plastics! Who knew you could do so much with it? This crowded little shop is jam-packed with things that are made of the hard stuff -- coffee tables, urns, signs. They obviously have fans in high places: There's an autographed poster on the wall from Meg Ryan: "Tom, you can go 'Sleepless' with me any time." Tom will answer all your questions and if he's not there, Ricardo in the back will custom design something for you and go to great lengths, like hand-frosting a sample, to show you exactly what you'll get.
