I can't believe I never left this place a review before! I came in a couple years ago on the recommendation of someone at Lowe's. I have been searching for some acrylic sheets that my father was going to cut down so I could use to frame some artwork. Unfortunately, Lowes did not have them in stock but their employee was so considerate and suggested I contact these guys. I called them and they were able to help me immediately. I was able to drop off eight very large custom frames and they cut the acrylic sheets to fit them. When I picked up my frames they had each acrylic sheet for the inside of them and if she had protective film on both sides. They gave me one frame at a time which allowed me to take my time putting them into my car. Now it is used later and my framed art is still looking great! My only regret is not picking up that spray cleaner and the gentleman was telling me about that they also sell. I have just use water to clean these and that works fine but I do think their cleaner would have been ideal. I will be back again whenever I need more custom acrylic made. I needed an adjustment to a cat litter box I had custom made years ago - seems one of my boys was high peeing over the 16" tall sides (he's very lazy and does not squat.) Plastic Depot is close to my office, so I stopped in one morning on my way to work. Kyle was very helpful in coming up with ideas for an insert that I could use, as well as other suggestions, including box placement and trying different types of litter. We had a very nice conversation about cats and pets in general - he is truly an animal lover! He also cut a notch in the front of my existing litter box to help my senior girl get in easier. The price was reasonable and turnaround was about a week. I am happy to report that the new height (22") has contained the cat pee and the walls have not been breached! read more

I wouldn't use them ever! They literally destroyed and very expensive piece and pretty much said I was the asshole! If they cannot do the job then don't accept the job and destroy a one of a kind prototype! They don't have any concept of how to do their job at all! The damage that was done to the piece is insane and that didn't happen with the first pull - totally excessive pressure with initial test pull by an Inept tech! They have no concept of what fragile means and had no problem passing the blame onto me as if I brought in a destroyed piece. I resolved the issue myself without any destruction! Come to me if you need anything people! The second piece we did ourselves perfectly! They weren't allowed to run it since they destroyed my original! Do not trust them! Was looking at having a new polycarbonate tray made for my daughters' wheelchair. I came in to pick up some ABS Plastic pieces for some car aero dynamic parts like a front splitter and a rear diffuser. I heard a few negative reviews about customer service and the owners being rude, but to honest I had a pretty good experience. The people helping me, which I believe who were the owners just have really strong personalities but are totally in love with what they do. When I spoke to whom I believe was Kyle, he was so open about providing ideas and suggestions about my project, I was just so impressed. Once he found out I was a young guy into the classic and new car scene, we immediately connected. He was a gear head talking about his passion for cars and how his plastic industry business was involved in the car scene. A really cool dude! I'd def come here to shop again. They can cut and do engraved items custom for you, just make sure you have the digital drawings or they will charge you a bit extra. But overall, pretty rad experience! Let's start with the phone call. My husband and I never needed a store like this before, so we lucked out by finding this place on Google. My husband broke our acrylic wedding sign and it broke my heart so he gave these guys a call and they said to bring it on in to see what they could do. So we went in, Kevin took a look, and said he would fix what he could by cutting off the cracked pieces and the broken edge that my husband did by drilling through it incorrectly. We told him we didn't need it anytime soon and he said that he would stop what he was doing to fix it right then. He would come ask us a couple questions to make sure that what he was doing was what we wanted. It was funny when he went into the shop and said "I'm a sucker for young love" to his co-worker. Kevin is just a cool guy who seemed really busy but wanted to help us. We paid him a little cash and we were out the door with it fixed and my heart put back together in about 30-40 minutes. NOTE: These guys at Plastic Depot are cool guys that are in the zone always doing projects (which means they are good at what they do to always be busy). They like to move at a fast pace, which I appreciate, so I don't care if i'm wined & dined with customer service. It was a quick and genuine conversation to get the sign fixed and for that I am grateful. There was another guy working that came up to the front to help other customers while we were waiting and he definitely knew what he was talking about. They don't beat around the bush here and as a woman, I like that they are treating me like everyone else. This place is a gem!! I broke a plastic cover for a piece of artwork. I measured it but they suggested bringing in the original anyway. I did and realized all of my measurements were not as precise as theirs. They gave me a quote that was probably $40 lower than I would find elsewhere. After fabricating and gluing the piece, they let the glue cure for days so bubbles would not appear at the seams. The piece was ready when they said it would be, they called me to pick it up, it was nicely wrapped to avoid scratching, it fits perfectly and looks better than the original! But there's more! a friend of mine's horse had eye surgery and has to wear plastic goggles. I called Plastic Depot to discuss how to remove scratches from the goggles. They spent a generous amount of time on the phone, suggested products that might remove the scratches and offered to review a picture of the goggles. I don't believe my friend ever followed up with them, but they're willingness to help was very impressive! read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my employer. I just can't believe what we went through with this company and the owner Kyle, specifically. All I will say here is he is rude, treats you like he doing you a favor even though he charges you more than his competition and he is dishonest. He lies to cover up his mistakes and won't compensate you for it. He makes it seem like it is your fault. If there are good reviews on here I find it hard to believe that they have not paid for them. If we could leave a no star review, we would. My husband went in today to get a quote on having something cut from lexican. He had some questions and wanted to get a ballpark estimate of what the job would cost. $5ea? $50ea? Just needed to know sort where it would land as we need 200 units cut. He showed them a sketch of the item and they told him they couldn't possibly estimate the cost. Really in all the years in business, they couldn't estimate? The woman was incredibly rude and James was an ass. Not only was he rude to my husband but to the other customer that was in there as well (mocking his foreign accent.) The smartass remarks were uncalled for and totally insulting. Not sure why they bother opening their doors when they clearly don't want your business. We wish we had read the other reviews here before bothering to drive all the way over there. read more

YAY! After going to Solter, this place was quite pleasant! A little shop with essentials and then one guy working there who was quite nice to the older gentleman asking questions about acrylic. I asked for 1/8 inch Acrylic sheet in black and yellow, 1 sq. foot each. At Solter, they wouldn't cut it for me, and made me buy $60 worth of what I only wanted a sq. foot of. Plastic Depot brought out the two colors to show me, and went in the back, and came out less than 3 minutes later with exact square feet. I didn't need fancy colors, though it looked like they had the basics red, green, yellow, blue, black, transparent black, white, clear etc but make sure you call ahead to check. If you don't need anything fancy (weird size or glitters or weird color) then this place is great. There's a sign that says, "1. GOOD, 2. CHEAP. 3. FAST. Pick two" or something to that effect, it's a joke, I got all three. read more

They've also got some resin casting materials & peripherals. If I could give Kyle a higher rating, I would! He's amazingly knowledgeable and has a wealth of experience about all things pertaining to plastics. And his customer service is top notch. He was upfront about what I needed for my project, and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need. And when I followed his directions, my project came out exactly as I desired and as he described. They have the worst customer service, condescending, unfriendly and overall a pain to deal with. If only their prices were competitive.... Avoid like the plague: first they are WAY more expensive than their close competitors in the Valley, second, their craftsmanship is subpar, and their attitude is UNBELIEVABLY BAD. I had very simple parts to cut (squares and rectangles), their competitors were closed so I went to Plastic Depot, I chose the materials, give the dimensions and the guy walk to his workshop, I call him to ask a last question, he ignores me... ok whatever. He comes back later with the parts. I asked for an additional set made with a different material (the reason I wanted to ask him before he walked away). he answered that he doesn't have the time to walk back and forth between his desk and his workshop (15 feet) and refuse to cut the other set... All that with the attitude of a teenager asked to go mow the lawn on a Saturday morning 8am. Seriously who does that ???? I was flabbergasted, a big What-The-F**k moment... Kiss Cool effect: I came back home and realized he 'effed up the cut and the dimensions of one of the parts were wrong !!! I took half a day off, I drove 40 miles to get there and get some very simple parts cut and this jerk with no chin doesn't even want to walk 15 feet back to his workshop and gave me attitude the whole time. This jerk better not be surprised if his job disappear in the near future, either online, overseas or taken by south Americans immigrants who are usually much friendlier and hard worker. read more

Custom Fabrication, except when they don't feel like it. I went into Plastic Depot about a week ago - the owner, never did get his name, was dismissive from the get-go. As soon as he found out that I wanted something more complex than a flat square, he wanted nothing more to do with me and even answered his cell to talk to a friend right in the middle of our conversation. His answer when I asked him why he would not do the work? (Even though it says complete custom fabrication on the website) He didn't 'want' to. The only fabrications here are false promises.
