We have had the unique experience of having to buy the same stone from Stoneland USA not once but twice, because our home unfortunately burnt down in the Eaton Fire. Before our house burnt down we shopped around at all the slab yards before falling in love with a particular Rosa bellini slab at Stoneland and bought it for our kitchen renovation. Then, after the fires and we were ready to source a new slab, we knew there was only one place that would have not only the best selection but also the most special options - Stoneland USA! We shopped around again a second time but it was NO COMPARISON. Stoneland just truly has the best selection of slabs out there in the southern CA area. And the best part was, even after doing all our due diligence, we still ended up choosing the same stone a second time. It was too good to not have in our home twice! We are anxiously awaiting the day we get to have it in our finished home and see its beautiful colors ever day again. I believe they are the largest supplier of stone specifically natural stone, which is exactly what I need for my master vanity. Extremely disappointed with Stoneland USA. Purchased a slab for a kitchen project after an in-person consultation with one of the owners, Gali, where we discussed the intended use in detail. At no point were we advised that this type of stone was unsuitable for countertops, only to learn afterward that it should never have been recommended for this application - the surface etched and deteriorated almost immediately. When we brought this to Stoneland's attention, they refused to replace the slab or offer any discount toward a replacement. We ultimately had to scrap the stone entirely and spend thousands more to start over. Every other designer, fabricator, and industry contact we've asked has the same feedback on Stoneland's reputation: "They'll sell you anything just to move material, they do not care." I went to Stoneland to find some specific marble slabs for my home reno. I did find something I liked but it turned out majority of the slabs in the same batch was on hold so Shannon told me he would find out what he could do to get the slabs for me. It was like pulling teeth to get any kind of info about the progress unlike other stone yards. Shannon was always preoccupied with other customers and made me feel unimportant because I need fewer slabs than other bigger clients. He would be talking to others while on the phone with me which is basically RUDE. He was beating around the bushes without actually working to close the deal. Even asked me if I was going to be seriously buying the slabs without giving me any concrete details or promises. Dude. Dear Shuki Rubin, I'm a designer here in LA so working with stone yards is not new to me. To be honest I thought your salespersons were quite good when in selling mode. It all fell nastily apart in post sale customer service. Upon reviewing the received slabs - the only bluestone slab we needed was not the one we selected and not at all the same quality. There are many small issues as to why that I won't bore you with here. Suffice to say, due to NO FAULT of my own I was repeatedly shut down with inane and immaterial excuses as to why we received a slab we did not select and that was that. There was NO interest in considering any fault on Stoneland's side. After much heated back and forth, in the end I was offered to make an exchange at my own cost (the slabs were now in La Quinta, CA). Hardly an appropriate response to a Stoneland error. I had a fantastic experience with Stoneland. I was having a hard time choosing stone for our countertops and they were so helpful and patient - I came back six times before I made up my mind and they never rushed me. They have nice samples of the different slabs to take home, it was great to be able to look at the stone where it would be installed. Stay away. Not to be trusted. Tried to give us a different slab of (very) expensive stone that we had ordered, then gave us slabs that were different numbers than what we had ordered. Our invoice clearly shows the exact slabs we paid for. There were many ridiculous excuses given but the fact is they sold the stone we paid for to someone else (and who knows maybe to multiple people). Went and purchased a stone slab from TRI STONE company and had a terrible experience. It had a flaw through it on delivery and they would not do anything about it so I wasted $2700. So I needed another 11 slabs for another room and I decided to try stoneland. Wow what a difference!!! Shannon helped me source some gorgeous marble and he could not have been more helpful. Huge selection of slabs and lots of inventory. Most of the slabs are stored indoors and they have some stones that others don't carry. I was able to find a nice quartzite in a brushed finish that was not readily available around town. My salesperson was Shawn - he knows his stuff and has some good suggestions on stones to use and colors. Lots of fabricators deal with them but its open to the public and you can go there pick your stone and have your fabricator pick it up. read more

Stoneland offers a great selection of surfaces. We found a Quartzite that resembles Carrara marble but they said, would not scratch or stain. We picked out the slabs, in the warehouse, when it's in a vertical position-- probably should have looked at it, outside, with it in a horizontal position as well. When our fabricator brought it to install, it was wrapped in a blue cellophane. Should have inspected it when the cellophane was removed and before installation. Our counter tops are scratched, even though the sales person said they cannot scratch. Nobody would take responsibility for the scratches. read more
