The president, Patrick, explained that they usually have someone come out in person and look over the contents to be moved. And then the rep would give a quote then and there with no additional costs/fees (as long as nothing changes with the inventory of course). However, because of my short notice, it was advised I send over a detailed inventory list. Throughout my correspondence with Patrick, he always responded fast and eventually gave me the things I requested like multiple quotes based on different inventories. On moving day, the foreman, Anthony, arrived with a team of three other movers. They were all professional and efficient. Apartment move to a house took about three hours from the time they arrived at the apartment until the time they left the house.

We were quoted a little over $500 for a three-hour, two-person move. We fully disclosed our inventory in advance, including our king mattress and the weight of our adjustable base. We specifically asked whether additional movers would be necessary and were assured that two movers would be more than sufficient. The move ultimately took approximately 10 hours instead of the quoted three, and our final payment exceeded $1,300--more than double the original estimate. This was not a minor miscalculation or a reasonable overage. The move took more than three times as long as represented. The first crew handled our belongings extremely poorly. They initially refused to bring our king mattress and adjustable base upstairs, even though both items had been fully disclosed before the move. The mattress was only brought upstairs after we insisted that the job was not complete without our bed in the bedroom, particularly because it was our only place to sleep that night. Amplified later sent a second two-person crew, and those two movers handled the adjustable base without difficulty. That made it clear that the issue was not simply the number of movers. It was the preparation, execution, and competence of the original crew assigned to our move. After unpacking and inspecting our belongings, we discovered damage to nearly all of our furniture. Two of our three televisions were also damaged, in addition to damage to our flooring and a curtain rod. This was not one isolated accident or normal wear associated with moving. The damage was widespread and affected a substantial portion of our belongings and home. When I spoke directly with Patrick, the owner, he was rude, dismissive, and refused to take meaningful ownership of what happened. He suggested that we needed to make "compromises" in order to be happy. When I directly called out how poorly the move had been handled, Patrick then accused me of being rude. Is that really how an owner speaks to a customer whose three-hour move turned into a 10-hour ordeal, whose bill more than doubled, and whose furniture, televisions, and home were extensively damaged? Holding a company accountable for its own failures is not being rude. Customers should not be expected to stay quiet or "compromise" when their belongings are damaged, major disclosed items are initially refused, the estimate is wildly inaccurate, and the owner responds defensively rather than professionally. Amplified Moving turned a quoted three-hour move into a 10-hour ordeal, charged us more than twice the original estimate, damaged nearly all of our furniture, damaged two of our three televisions, caused property damage, and then blamed and insulted the customer for raising legitimate concerns. This was one of the worst service experiences we have ever had. I would not recommend Amplified Moving under any circumstances.

Jose told me about using our insurance and getting the claim #. I have to say they were out to our house so fast! They went right to work, cleaning up the area where it leaked into the cellar. Even carted away the damaged stuff. They put down mats on the floor that are hooked up to machines to get the water out of the wood floor! For start where you drop off your belonging and where you are told your belongings will be stored IS NOT WHERE IT WILL BE STORED. No one will inform you of the change and if some of your belongings will vanish or get destroyed in the process- WELL embrace yourself you will get a penny per kilo if NICK is in a good mood. Storage facilities are dirty, no temp control. Objects that can melt, will. Better to give your belongings away then storing with NICK. Luckily they no longer offer moving so no danger there. Keep researching storages so you find another option other then the disastrous flexible warehousing.

The roof above a small portion of the back side of our house had caved in and the water was sitting above the roof causing damage. We didn't have the funds to fix and rebuild the roof but needed the water to flow away from the house to avoid damage. Frank was able to solve our issue and added a small gutter to be back side of our home to have the water drain away from the caved in section. It has been over 5 years and holding up as new (no water in our house since Gutterworld added the gutter). Most recently I called Gutterworld because our homeowners insurance said our house was missing a 1 foot section of soffit from below the roof. And if we did not fix it they would drop our insurance. When I spoke with Frank he said he would try to accommodate us but he was booked with jobs & going on vacation. Within an hour he had called and said he moved a few jobs to help us fix the soffit (to avoid lapse in insurance). Frank is an amazing person - he went above and beyond for us to avoid any issues with our insurance company. He did the job quickly, clean and efficiently. He even matched the soffit color perfectly. However, in this case, I was very impressed with the work performed by Gutter World following the installation of new vinyl siding on my home. Gutter World was the subcontractor called in by the siding general contractor. I made it my business to get to know the owner of Gutter World, Frank Puorro, due to my GC not being on-site at the time gutter and leader work was to start. I must admit that I was apprehensive at first, yet, within a short period of time, I found Gutter World performing their work in a very measured, methodical, and precise manner. Frank, the owner, worked side-by-side with his foreman while measuring, forming, cutting, shaping, and securing all new replacement gutters and leaders, including detail work where leaders (downspouts) transitioned down to grade for final draining of storm water. Gutter World's box truck was equipped with a seamless aluminum gutter / leader roll machine which formed, rolled, bent, and cut the required lengths of material. I was on-site the entire time and observed the team working smoothly during the install process. Prior to positioning the leaders at grade, Frank and I discussed the manner in which I wanted the ends oriented. With suggestions from Frank, my input was utilized and those details came together much to my satisfaction. All debris and miscellaneous trash was cleaned up and removed from my property by Gutter World. The entire job was completed within several hours.
