I wish I'd gotten her name, but my nurse had the worst bedside manner I've ever experienced - administering covid and strep tests should not include shaming, belittling, eye rolling and nasty comments, but even as I was in tears she didn't let up. As someone who hesitates to go to the doctor due to some anxiety around health-related things, this was unacceptable to me. I sat in my suite crying the full 20 minutes waiting for my results until my doctor came back and shared that I was negative and I was hurried out. I came in for severe ear pain and left in tears from the rudeness and aggression from the nurse and with no advice or attempt to make me feel better. Unfortunately, this experience discouraged me from seeking medical care at all in the future, and I'll certainly never go back to this office. I don't recommend anyone else going here either - I only went because it was the only location with open appointments today, and it's pretty clear why that is the case now. read more

It took more than 30 minutes to be sent to a room and an extra 10 on top of actually being seen by a doctor(very urgent...) After the "doctor" came in he seemed as if he couldn't be bothered with that pain I have from this poisoning. He prescribed 3 pills that should help with my situation. Thanks, I'm glad that $150 is worth 3 pills. I have been getting text messages about how your bill is ready to pay but every single link went to an oops/ we are having trouble page (attached below). Finally got fed up and decided to visit in person and pay my bill because I am not the type of person to let something go to collections. I stood in the office for a solid 15 minutes without a single soul around to talk to me. Come to find out the receptionist and I can only imagine the "doctors on duty (because they walked straight back after I had flagged the receptionist)" were out front socializing and having a good time. I get it was the end of the shift but to have no one in there especially when I went down the hallway to say hello is anyone here after I've done it multiple times in the lobby can be a security risk for an establishment. After finally being able to get some assistance my bill was close to $150 for 15 minutes of a doctors time which is a great hourly for a doctor that clearly doesn't care (maybe I'll take up this position for the money...). Overall I wish everyone the best but this is not a place you want to be especially if it is "Urgent". I have seen other reviews from different AllCare's and this establishment has the worst out of all of them. Unless someone in this business actually cares about their patients and reaches out please steer clear of AllCare. Also the Jennifer T. I arrived 5-10 min prior to my appointment and the front desk said I had to complete the online form and "no" she couldn't help and I told her where the form was stuck and she said oh well it's been 5 min past your appointment, it's cancelled. Are you serious?!? She said it's policy. Mind you, I have been to numerous allcare locations but still had to repeat info that their system that they already had. Save your time NEVER go here. If you need immediate care, this is your place! I visited AllCare to address an issue noticed the day prior. They had PLENTY of next day appointments at locations across the DMV. The website has bios of the providers when you choose to schedule so you choose who you see. I found this to be a super cool feature and scheduled with Dr. Lawson who was AWESOME. She was so attentive and thorough. I didn't feel rushed or minimized. She is an active listener and as a result she was able to make recommendations that hopefully brings me closer to finding out what's going on with me. She noticed I lived not close to their location, and I told her I am not opposed to traveling to get good service -- and I will continue to make the hike to be a patient of Dr. Lawson's! She was that good...and genuine. This location also had Labcorp onsite, so I was able to get lab work done -- very convenient. The fact that AllCare offers same day appointments with the tools available to offer full service (note: they even have EKG ability onsite!) will eliminate my ever going to urgent care (a mistake I made the day prior just for them to tell me I should go to an ER given their lack of capabilities). No more waiting weeks to get an appointment also if you have a concern that's concerning but not quite urgent. If I could give AllCare 100 stars -- I would. Kudos. read more

Like the rest of the reviews, I rarely if ever write reviews but this is some of the rudest customer service I have ever received. Apparently they have a five minute window for appointments. I showed up one minute after that window, rushing in for my appointment after having trouble driving over with a medical emergency, and was told the doctor is now busy for the rest of the day and I would be charged for a no-show. The front desk woman could not have been more rude, and it's confusing why she works in a customer service position for people having health emergencies. It's one thing to have a restrictive corporate policy--you could at least be sympathetic. She also blatantly lied about appointment availability. I'm truly blown away by her bedside manner and just how kind, caring and approachable she was! I barely waited and the office was super clean. Please AVOID Allcare. I had fever and went in as urgent care. Besides Covid and Flu test (both negative), the Dr. just tried to rush me out of the door, say it must be virus, and it will go away in couple of days. Even explained non-Flu like symptom and the fever came unusual. Did not order any other test or try to diagnose. I ended up in ER/Hospitalized couple of days later, because of the miss-diagnose. Missed 2 weeks work, still not fully recovered after 4 weeks. The worst Dr., worst experience ever. Filled out feedback, all received is "we will pass on to the location", still charged me full amount. read more

Well ill add my voice to the list of negative experiences. The front desk here is an absolute disgrace. I came in post-surgery still very much in pain and apparently, they had scheduled me for an appointment they could not honor. I showed them my confirmation (multiple of them) but they could not have cared less - they were rude, patronizing and dismissive - refused to cover the cost of the parking I had paid and had no sympathy for the missed work or the 40 min drive to attend this appointment. They seemed to think I should have just magically known that they had scheduled me for the wrong appointment. The front desk person used a lot of "clever" put downs like "bless your heart" and " have the day you deserve" to show her annoyance that I dare express my frustration with the total mismanagement of appointments on their parts. She never once apologized or acknowledge the mistake they had made. I hope the doctors know the disserve their front desk is doing to their practice. I emailed their office manager but got no response. read more

Charged over $300 on top of my annual physical because, when asked if anything was bothering me, I mentioned that my asthma had gotten worse after a bout of COVID and said I thought I might need to go back on my inhaler for a bit. The doctor then asked me what inhaler I wanted, which felt weird (but I'm thankfully in med comms so I knew how to answer), after which point I told her that I wanted Albuterol and Trelegy. $300 for effectively prescribing myself an inhaler. When I called billing, they said it was a moderate to difficult diagnosis and tried to blame insurance (putting down that charge was entirely their choice). Their bathroom was also in poor shape and missing soap. Not great in a medical facility. read more

In general the providers are good and responsive, but I needed a surgical pre-op form completed. I made the required appointment 1 month before the surgery, attended the appointment and gave them the form, and then did the required lab work through their lab, and they told me they would complete the form and send it in. The test results were back in plenty of time to review them and complete the form...and they did nothing. Did not fill out the form. Did not send the info. Did not follow up. I called because I had not heard anything and found that the provider and office had done nothing. And had no plans to do anything. I was told I needed to come back and be seen again because they could not find the form. So I came in, they found the not completed form, claimed they would not fill out the form, and claimed they would send the notes from when the doctor saw me. They spend a lot of time documenting stuff into a computer system that texts you incessantly at times, but don't seem to actually do anything with the info. Avoid this company if you think health care should be organized and supportive. read more

To be clear, the staff, nurses, and physicians at every AllCare clinic I have visited have always provided a positive experience - they are pros who are interested in making their patients feel comfortable. The upselling that they are required to do is annoying, but I get that they are forced. Some just do it poorly because they didn't go into medicine to be salespeople, but I sympathize. My problem is with their systems. A 9:30am appointment at the Ballston clinic is turned into a 10:30am appointment on South Glebe with no warning to me except for a text in which I'm asked to fill out the pre-visit forms a second time. I didn't make a 9:30 appointment on a Saturday at a specific location because I have the flexibility for its place and time to be changed at the last minute. That's garbage. So, nice staff, nice docs, garbage system - I'm out. Giving the NOVA clinics a try next. read more

My doctor here is great, but the operation itself is very unprofessional. I had a virtual visit today that no one showed up for. I called the office and left vm and have not heard back. I called the main AllCare and they can't get a hold of the office either. AllCare makes you pay for the visit before logging in so I'm out the copay and have no way of getting in contact. I usually do not post online reviews, however in the interest of sharing my experience with current and potential new patients, I'm sharing my negative experience after my annual preventative health/wellness visit. I recently booked my 1st annual well visit with the Ballston practice per seeing that they are open until 8pm on weekdays and on weekends. I scheduled the appointment online without any issues and completed my visit. This week I received a bill charging for "after hours fees". I spoke with the practice and they mentioned that they charge for appointments between 5-8pm and on weekends. There is no documentation of this on the AllCare website during the scheduling process and no one informed me of this before, during, or after my appointment. This is a complete lack of transparency, it is misleading to patients, and it's misinforming the public. Without any documentation or awareness of such charges while scheduling, I am disputing the charge. I spoke with my insurance company and they clearly stated that the practice is misleading patients and they need to either submitted a corrected claim or write off the charge. I am expecting this to be resolved and I hope that they update their website to include clear documentation of this fee. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I hope this helps patients to keep in mind when they book appointments. read more

This review is specifically about the Ballston location and Dr. Anh Truong. I came in for an appointment for a concerning under skin mass consistent with other symptoms that suggested it could be cancerous. After verbal agreement that I would be receiving a referral for an ultrasound in the appointment, I was unable to access it in the portal or find a PDF copy that had been emailed. It took over a week and a half with 3+ calls to the AllCare contact center (almost an hour of wait time per call) to finally get a referral emailed over with confirmation that it was also in the portal (it wasn't). This was after my case was closed once by the support staff without any resolution. When I finally went to schedule the ultrasound, they couldn't schedule it because it had been incorrectly coded as the wrong type of ultrasound. The lack of immediacy or follow-through for a situation like this is infuriating. I am now trying to schedule a new appointment for an ultrasound referral almost a month later due to ineptitude by this location and doctor. I could actively be walking around with a serious condition, and AllCare is solely to blame for the fact that I have yet to get any medical resolution here to-date. read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Ballston AllCare location. I was seen by Lindsay N. She had a wonderful bedside manner and explained all of my options to me. She asked a lot of questions and I could tell she really cared that I was not feeling well. She is incredibly quick to respond to messages on the portal. All of the other providers (from the front desk to multiple medical techs) that I interacted with at this practice were personable, professional, and caring. read more

I would not recommend this medial office due to their billing practices. Prospective patients should be aware that if you bring up any existing issues/concerns during your annual check-up, this will be charged as "Evaluation and Management" and will incur an additional charge (even if "evaluation" equates to them touching you to see if there is a problem (no lab tests, special equipment, etc.), and "management" involves nothing other than suggesting you go see a specialist) They also tried to charge for a "brief emotional/behavior assessment." It turns out, this is from the 2 question survey they send you while you are in the waiting room. When I called the office to dispute this, they said that this charge is usually rejected by the insurance company and zeroed out on the bill, and it "must have been a computer bug" that led to my charge not automatically being removed. While the office did remove this charge (after I called to dispute it), I think this is indicative of their entire approach to billing. read more

Horrible experience. I had a fever and a sore throat and needed to be tested. I hoped I could get a treatment prescription based on my symptoms. I waited 40 minutes to see doctor and finally got tested COVID and Flu plus strep throat. But their lab reports take about 5 days to get the results which are so annoying and not professional. My symptoms could get worse but I ended up going to another urgent care. I wouldn't recommend this All care family medicine&urgent care!!!!! read more

It is just a doc in the box. Has no backbone to say yur needs or wants are not met. I had to go without medicine for my diabetes for a moth after asking for assistance with a failed product lily was to pay for. My pharmacy refused to fill my prescription. They could not fill my prescription due to the orders they had. I asked my needs be met three times. No excuse. No reason why. This is my opinion of what occurred. No records or excuses where offered. The sound proofing for the exam rooms violates the patients right to privacy but it's just my opinion. Hearing the next patients interaction. **Warning: This company bills for unauthorized services.** I went in for an annual physical and bloodwork after my doctor moved further away, and I ended up with a small bill for a test that wasn't covered under the wellness visit. After several attempts to contact the billing department, the representative tried to convince me that it was my fault for not knowing they were going to bill for that specific test. This would have required me to get a list of billing codes and the lab's billing number **before** the appointment, which is not only unreasonable, it's insane. After a couple of minutes arguing with me, she simply **hung up.** Further calls and messages went unanswered. **Second warning: Phone and email functions do not work.** I also needed antibiotics for an ear infection at this visit. But there is apparently no direct line to the clinic -- you instead have to be manually transferred from the offsite call center. This is a minor inconvenience unless you're trying to contact the clinic on a Saturday, when they're open but the call center is closed. So I instead sent a message through the online portal. My doctor seemingly responded, saying I should come back in if the second dose didn't cure it. But when I did, she was shocked to see me, and assured me that she was not the one who sent the message under her name. If that's true, then other doctors or staff members are sending messages under other accounts. I'm not sure how this place is even in business. It's an illustration of the how broken the health care system truly is, even for a place that has branded itself as innovative. Good luck to you if you go here. read more

Terrible service. Late prescription (had to deal with strep for five days to get my results back). Then, they only prescribed me 4-5 days of medicine. After speaking with my doctor/nurse friends (and confirming online), typically you're prescribed 7-10 days of medicine. Needless to say, my symptoms are back. I called to explain that to them and get prescribed more medicine, spoke to a receptionist, they said they would be back and then hung up. I keep calling back but no answer :) If truly sick and in need of help, stay away from this place. read more

Very disappointing experience. Booked appointment for flu test online. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk explained that they don't do testing onsite but could refer me somewhere else. While I might have given them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I messed up the online scheduler, the individual in front of me experienced the exact same situation. The person at the front desk went on to say that the problem was that the appointment was booked through a third party (though we went through All Care's website). I wanted guidance for what to do and, while he did write a presciption for antibiotics, his attidude was one of callous indifference. Appalling service. I received raw test results from the lab, which were of course written in medical jargon that I could not interpret. No one from AllCare contacted me to discuss the results or to schedule a follow-up consultation that I had requested at the time of my appointment. I attempted to get through on the phone all day long, and no one would take my call (it was a normal business Wednesday, when the office was allegedly open). I was left in limbo and anxiety all day, until I managed to get a friend of mine who is a doctor to interpret the results for me. I'm fortunate the results were good - imagine if they had been bad, perhaps life-changingly bad, and no one from my doctor's office could even be bothered to pick up the phone? I will never go back. Following a negative covid test, I made an in-person appointment at this location to be seen by a doctor. Once I arrive, the front desk takes my ID and insurance info and asks me about my symptoms. I'm going to assume this was asked out loud because nobody else was there, but if this is standard protocol then a clear violation of privacy. The front desk person heads to the back to speak with the doctor I assume, and returns telling me that they do not see sick patients. EXCUSE ME. Are you not both a PCP and an Urgent Care!? She then tells me it's their protocol. No sick patients. But I can do telemedicine instead. If that's the case why could I make an in-person appointment online. DO NOT COME HERE. I called around to various Urgent Care Centers and quickly found out that most centers are completely closed, only take Covid patients, have shorted hours or will only do virtual visits. After frantically calling many places this place was actually open, had normal hours and would see me in person. The place was clean, not busy and everyone I spoke with was great. I would 100% come here again and recommend my friends to do the same! read more

Wow!! I couldn't have asked for a better visit. I had to take my mom to urgent care. She was cooking and hot oil splashed/exploded all over her face, arm, and chest. We did a walk in. From the receptionist to the doctor, everyone took care of my mom with such gentle care. I think they knew she was feeling really sad. I mean it's her face! I would be just as devastated. I cant thank this team enough for taking care of my mom with such kindness and answering all of our questions. It completely changed my mom's mood and she couldn't stop gushing about them on the way home. Special shout out to the nurse (I didn't catch her name, but she is Bolivian) and Dr. Ezra Morgan.
