The tasting menu is a long but delicious meal (as they generally are). The plating and actual serving dishes were unique. I enjoyed many of the dishes but in particular was a bold and spicy shrimp and spaghetti dish that lingers in my mind. Our table location was not great but I will over look it in service of the food and healthy wine pours.

This was our last nite in Venice , my husband made the perfect reservation . Walking into the restaurant we were greeted by the hotels staff that led us to the restaurant. We were greeted by the server , and led to our table . It was a nice intimate dim setting that had about 8 tables for seating ! The server offered an à la cart 8 corse meal . I had a pistachio crust fish that was made to perfection , we had some really cool tasty bites complemented by the chef ! My husband pared the wines perfectly with our dinner . I had my favorite dessert which is a cream brûlée. I recommend this place if your looking for a nice calm dinner nite out .

Stepped into this tiny bar connected to the Hotel Ai Reali, where I am staying, for tea and cookies. Great service, simplistic yet stylish, dimly lit - perfect place to hide from the rain and crowds by yourself to relax and rehydrate.

We stayed at the hotel from 27-29 April. We had complimentary welcome drinks (on day 2 instead of day 1) in the bar at 6.30pm. We allowed these from 6 to 7pm. The bar was empty, but it was a lovely place to sit and relax. Our view was of the canal and gondolas passing by. The barman was friendly. We were served prosecco and some bar snacks. On certain days, I think Monday's, Thursday's and another day they have entertainment in the form of a pianist. Luckily it was Thursday so at 7pm we had the company of a talented Italian pianist. He played some classic songs I knew and some other Italian songs. By this time there were a few more guests seated in the bar. It was not considered peak time for a lot of visitors in Venice. The batman said in a few more weeks time, the hotel would be busier. When we walked past the bar after dinner, we heard the pianist singing whilst he played, but we were too tired to sit and enjoy. On our last day, we waited in the hotel lobby for a while before leaving. We had been out the whole day walking and ran out of water. We went to the bar and asked for tap water, which he was happy to serve with ice, which was 'just the ticket' and we also helped ourselves to the bar snacks which consisted of olives, peanuts and corn kettle.

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.

On our last evening in Venice we wanted some Crudo di Mare. Checked online and found this place…read more Reviews looked very good. So we came here for an early dinner (around 5pm), kitchen is open through! Took a nice table inside by the window. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. Staff/owner very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome here. Inside it's a nice, cosy atmosphere. Good selection of wine on the menu as well. For all kinds of budgets. And at the counter a nice display of all kinds of seafood. Lovely place. We've ordered the Crudo di Mare plate and Spaghetti Vongole. And a .375ml bottle of their white house wine, which turned out to be a good pairing with the seafood. Both dishes were excellent! Plenty of Vongole (clams) in the pasta dish, Spaghetti were perfectly cooked. Vongole were nice and fresh and the dish perfectly spiced (not too much, which is good). A real highlight definitely the Crudo di Mare. Two langoustines (so nice and sweet flavour), two red shrimp. scallops, tuna, swordfish, oysters and tuna tartare. All fresh, all tasty. An excellent mix of wonderful fish and seafood. Quality wise along on top with the best ones we've had so far (we love Crudo di Mare). And all is nicely presented. Really made our day, this meal here. After the meal we even got some aperitif on the house. A wonderful place. Feels very relaxed, lots of great items on the menu. And really fair prices, this is a real gem here with great value. And we will definitely be back next time in Venice. Highly recommended!
