They have always been honest and upfront with all the work and have stood behind their work. I would highly recommend them for most of your automotive work. (Reason I said most is because they don't work on certain things that they are not equipped for).

After they had the truck, however, the price increased by somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 (more than a 10% increase!), even though the scope of the work had not changed. We were not comfortable with the unexpected increase, so we declined the work and told them we would come pick up our truck. Because I had a bad feeling about the situation after the price increase, I started doing some research into the company. I was surprised to find out that the shop, which has been around since the 1980s and has a very good reputation in the area, was acquired by someone else last year. The original owner is no longer the owner. I had heard many good things from people who had used this shop when it was still under the original ownership, which is a big part of why we felt comfortable taking our truck there in the first place. We were then charged an $185 diagnostic fee. While we understand that shops may charge diagnostic fees, given that we had already been quoted a price for the work and the reason we declined the repair was the unexpected price increase, we felt that fee should have been waived. What makes this experience especially frustrating is how difficult it is to find a mechanic you genuinely feel you can trust. When you take your vehicle somewhere, you shouldn't have to wonder whether the price you're being quoted is actually the price you're going to pay, or whether additional charges are going to appear once they have your vehicle. In our case, the experience felt less like an honest change in circumstances and more like a bait-and-switch, and that completely changed our perception of the business. If you still decide to bring your vehicle here, I would strongly suggest getting the complete price and scope of work in writing before leaving your vehicle, and confirming any diagnostic fees upfront. Trust is incredibly important when choosing a mechanic, and unfortunately, we left this experience feeling like ours had been misplaced.
