DON'T GO! I dropped…read moremy 1989 Corvette off at Frenchtown on June 18th, 2021 (as pictured below) and was told it was slipping in 3rd. Three weeks later the manager Brad Sewell called and said after rebuilding the transmission it now shifted to 3rd, but not shifting to 4th. Days later he called and said it was ready, and that the reasoning was due to a part that they replaced, that didn't need replacing. No sweat. Picking up my car Brad "randomly mentioned" how nice targa tops were, and instructed me to take care of it, then we began talking about targa tops vs convertibles. Not one second did he mention seeing anything wrong with it, or that they may have damaged it. Thought nothing of it. I get in my car, drive for 30 miles (as instructed) and my check light engine comes on. Brad is leaving the shop, so we agree that I come back the next day. Headed home, I realize wind coming through the front right of the Targa top. Miles later, in the middle of the highway, my ENTIRE TOP flys off. Livid. I send Brad pictures on FB, and tell him I want to be professional about it. He calls the next morning, and says Frenchtown Transmissions will not pay for it. He goes on to tell me that I believe my car is the best car anyone at that shop has touched. Meanwhile, I wouldn't care if it was a hooptie, if I drop my car off for transmission problems (which still isn't fixed) THE TOP OF MY CAR SHOULD NOT FLY OFF THE FIRST TIME I DRIVE IT (pictured). I've driven the car over 900 miles in 3 months and have had ZERO problems. Brad also tells me that they unlatch the top during labor, which means they did alter the top at some point & time. It is very unprofessional that a company will not take accountability for something that's happened during their possession, and I am forced to take this up with my insurance company. PLEASE, DO NOT go to Frenchtown Transmissions, by any means!

My transmission went out in Chevy Silverado. FrenchTown Transmissions was recommended. I called…read morethem and the mechanic gave me the run down on the common issues on my make and model and quoted me $1,300 - $1,500 to have the transmission rebuilt. He stated that he did business cash only which I thought was kinda shady but whatever And he said it would be a couple weeks before he could get to it. No problem. I had the truck towed to him and he has it for two weeks and calls me on a Friday saying that my truck has diagnostic codes on. I replied so what it's a knock sensor? He says if it has codes it could mess up the transmission down the road And asked when I could come and get it? I had just got off Work and now o need to drive from Foristell to St Charles to have the towed to another mechanic to have the knock sensors taken care of and then have it towed back to him at my expense! so i get there and I introduce myself and asked the simple question, "if codes are a prerequisite to the transmission work being done why wouldn't you tell me that when I told you my truck was at Fred's auto, I could have had them do that work before having it towed"? He says I was trying to blame him and he go's into how many good jobs he has and that he is so busy he doesn't need anymore work"!? so Im sitting on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck as I write this review. He may know how to fix a transmission but he doesn't know how to deal with customers for sure.

They worked with my warranty company and the company that I bought my car from to get it all fixed and paid for without me having to do everything. And I want to thank Ali because he put up with me and I'm very difficult to put up with sometimes. And after I got my car back I started having issues again with my transmission and he got it in the day that I called and they got it fixed the next day. I would highly recommend them to anybody they are highly professional and amazing people.

He called me again later that afternoon to let me know I also needed two new control arms, sway bar kits, oil sensor and cooler line pipes. He gave me an estimate of $2150 and said he could have my car done on Friday, two days away. I gave him the okay and didn't hear anything else until Friday morning at 9:30am when he called to say my car was done. Total cost was $2187.77. Dennis even came to pick me up so I didn't have to take a cab to his shop. I'm so pleased with the work he did and the price. I would definitely recommend Bryant Transmission without hesitation.
