Not once have they ripped me off and they have always been very easy to work with. Even as a 22 year old girl, who knows nothing about cars, they have never tried to take advantage of me and have never treated me like I was stupid or lesser because of my knowledge on cars and the many questions I may ask at times. They don't try and up-charge us and only provide the services that we need and request. There aren't any hidden fees and, as precaution, I always check my receipts before check-out and leaving the shop to ensure everything adds up. I've never had an issue in the many years I have been personally bringing my car in. I even had some pretty major things done here from an engine issue to having all four tires ordered and replaced.

A lesser salesman would've told me my back tires needed replacing for the extra sale, and as a young woman that happens a lot where they try to upcharge me. They didn't try to add anything, and I appreciated the honesty and went ahead with them to get new front tires. Service is very speedy and the waiting room has comfortable seating while you wait. As a rideshare driver, I have the need for new tires far more often than Sunday drivers. I utilize their sister company, Tire Rack, find the most economical deal for my vehicle. I then have them sent directly to Discount Tire, who notifies me when they've arrived. I can either schedule an installation appointment - or just drop by. I tried all the regular fixes like tightening the fuel cap, but message was still scrolling. When I went in month's ago for an oil change Luke told me it was probably the Purge Valve but I could wait until my tags were due and needed an inspection. I made an appointment with Sid explaining check engine light intermittently comes on with the 'check fuel cap' message. He told me they would charge me $219 for a diagnostic. I said I don't need that, I know what the problem is. He was rude and didn't care what I had to say and I made an appointment to drop the car off on Wednesday 9/2. I went in at 9;45a to drop my car off and I met Sid. He was I just as rude in person. I told him I don't need a diagnostic because I know what the problem is. He wouldn't listen to me, he said thats not how we do things. I said why would I pay your $219 dollars to tell you whats wrong, when I'm telling what's wrong. He then said supposedly thats whats wrong, he kept talking down to me like I was a dumb woman. He then didn't want to talk to me anymore and the manager Jeff came over and was immediately was very condescending. I told him I didn't want a diagnostic I knew what the problem is. I said cant you just replace the Purge Valve and see if that resets check engine light. He also said supposedly thats wrong, it could be this or that and we need to run diagnostic that is policy. I said cant you just replace part, he said we don't do that. Jeff said Ill take $100 off. I was so upset and should have just left with my car. My ride came so I just left. I called 4 hours later and Sid answered said they haven't even looked at it, he again was not friendly or helpful. Dennis called me back a few hours later. Dennis was so nice, he a always is. He told me the Purge Valve needed to be replaced, exactly what I said but they wouldn't listen. They had to order part and wouldn't be done till the next day. If they listened to me at 10a they would have it done that day. Dennis called me around 9a and said the car was ready. I was going to talk to Jeff but only Dennis and Luke were there and they have always been nothing but nice and helpful to me through the years so I didn't want to unload on them so I paid the bill and $119 Diagnostic charge. This has really upset me because I always told everyone to take there car to this location bc they can be trusted, that they are honest and do great work. This review is solely on my interaction with the new Manager Jeff and employee Sid. It have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dennis, Luke, and the mechanics. I felt taken advantage of and dismissed. I drove out of the way to go to this location because the employees were so nice, helpful, professional and always provided excellent customer service until this day. You just lost a good customer. Do better!

I wouldn't return…read more I went in after discovering I had a flat tire. The man at the counter (I'm assuming a manager) treated me like dirt. Another employee of the store did help me to determine there was a hole in the sidewall of my tire. I was one day from pay day, so I was not in a position to replace the tire. I asked if they could put the spare on, and the man at the counter said it would take 2.5 hours to put on the spare tire. He then also mentioned that the tire with the hole was holding air, and I could get home on that tire. (Mind you, I live 40 minutes away and it's highway driving) I drove about 1.5 miles down 270 before the tire went flat. Thank goodness for St. Charles Police Dept and Justin at MODOT, I called the non-emergency police and they got in touch with MODOT. Justin came out and put that spare tire on in 5 minutes. (If anyone from MODOT reads this, thank you!) So no, it was not okay to get home on that tire. I believe the man at the counter knew that and just wanted me to leave. Seriously, the dismissive attitude he had was gross. I can't speak to the value at this shop - i was quoted $130 for one 195/65R15 sized tire. Don't do it.
