Chose them in an emergency from good reviews and was not disappointed. On my second tow now. Both times the person on the phone was polite and helpful. Both times the driver was professional and friendly, even the guy getting soaked in the rain. Both times the price was reasonable. I didn't feel taken advantage of in my time of need. We called Allen's Towing for help moving a trailer we had in a hotel parking lot. Our truck was stolen from the hotel, we needed to be in another state for work, & we had to get this trailer moved, with no way to do it ourselves. As I stated, we called 1st thing Monday morning after having an incredibly hellacious 24 hours dealing with the aftermath of a theft 1,300 miles from home. We were told they could help us, be there at 2pm - make sure you're there to tell the driver where it needed to be towed. 7 hours later, it's nearing 2:30 & we call to find out an ETA. After 10 minutes of trying to decide if we were "on the board" or not, we start getting excuse after excuse about drivers walking off, someone is sick, broke down, pinned in, and on and on. Ok.... So when can you get to us? "Oh, we aren't going to be able to do it & can't say when we can." This was after discussing the fact we were required to be in GA shortly amongst their other office people - so they were completely aware of our situation & needs. We wasted an entire day waiting on a "company" that didn't bother to communicate with us that they were unwilling or unable to assist us. Why? No clue!! Wouldn't they have known at some point prior to 2pm they didn't have the machinery or manpower to make the 2pm appointment they made with us? Hadn't we already been through enough? Did we also deserve to be treated like trash from a towing company on top of being victimized by the lowlife riffraff thieves of Duval County?? I would never recommend this company to anyone I care about. But I sure would arrange to use then with people I despise. read more
